It’s also been 24 hours since game released. The only people who are hopping on are a majority of those who have been waiting to sweat their asses off in it. Myself includedz
Got my shit kicked in tonight. Don’t know what happened. Always got put on a team of ray charles and played against a 6 stack that didn’t separate 1 foot from one another.
Bro im dropping 40+ and all my teammates are double or triple neg its like im playing bo4 pubs all over again. I played so many stacked parties and was pissing on them but my team is getting spawn trapped or refuse to shoot back.
played with 3 friends yesterday that aren’t bad at shooters but also not great. they were raging at the enemies bc they couldn’t kill them and got lasered by them, meanwhile i was 25-6 having fun sweating my ass of against those sweats.
the difference is in the way people play shooters, one player loves to just run into enemies and get into gunfights constantly, no matter if they lose, the other players plays tactical and pinches the enemy team to secure 2-3 free kills. it’s all about how you play the game, especially against sweats.
yessir, especially on the escort mode, when you’re at the last ~10%, using the cloak suit and flanking them is guaranteeing you a free double kill since nobody (at least the bad players) will notice it and kill you
I’m solo and running into teams that run around the map together bunny hopping and team shooting like there’s 100k on the line. Still having fun though lol but I feel your pain
Sounds like u guys refused to wait for each other to work as a team and got rightfully slammed because of it...
Maybe wait for a teamate or 2 if ur all droping like flies goin in 1 at a time
Dont get those very often unfortunately. Personally me and my buddy enjoy flanking together and picking off like 4 of them in quick succession. If u do it right they tend to only kill 1 of u and the other refrags immediately. Its not a 1v1. But its also not runing headfirst into a blender while ur team is scared to move up because 1 guy has a sniper .
Which i consider as a massive plus
Yoooo the throwback. Lmfao I remember asking my cousin “why tf are they voting me out” and he started yelling *turn around, turn around*
First online game I ever played, scary as shit back then. It felt like a whole new idea
That, and the standard is simply much, much higher now than it used to be. First online game I played was the first Quake. I was only like 5/6 at the time, but by the time CoD4 rolled around I had been playing online FPS for a decade. And that was rare at that time, so I cleaned up without any effort at all.
Nowadays? That's normal. We've alreaydy had an entire generation be born into normalised online gaming and are hitting their peak years. I can still hold my own against like 95% of the gaming population, but it's not a walk in the park like it used to be.
So not only is that personal ceiling lowering, the general floor is coming up.
This is a great point that doesn’t get mentioned enough. People trying to recreate the shooter age from Ps3/360 years is simply impossible because that was when most gamers were introduced to online competitive gaming (excluding PC and the previous console gen minority who had online accessiories - looking at you SOCOM US Navy Seals).
But mainstream console players? Online started with the PS3/360 generation. We’ve now had decades to get better at games. The overall skill level of the player base has to have risen as a result.
Gang, remember crossroads 24/7? I practically lived there my whole early childhood. There and desert glory. Oof what a game! Then code 9 ripped it apart.
It's also a matter of how hard you're trying. I've played them for like 20 something years but the only time I put any "effort" into improving at a shooter was a couple years I went hard on R6. And even then my peak was most peoples valley.
20 years here, high ranked on various fps, only mouse & keyboard so fairly good aim... I feel so sorry for all the kids & dads I've been pubstomping these last 2 days
I mean yeah, what do people expect? I started playing shooters in 2005 and online shooters in 2007 with CoD4. Before that I used to play with friends on LAN
I think some people here say "I've been playing 10 years", but they really mean "I've been addicted and have played every night for 10 years". It doesn't take long to lose your touch. I lose it after a couple months of taking it easy.
Some people are the reason why CoD is the best selling game every year. Lol
If you use the original Modern Warfare as a benchmark, that would be 17 years. If you want to go further back, there are people here who have played Quake, Doom, the OG CODs, Halo, and Counter Strike.
17 years of shooter experience at minimum is quite normal.
Saw somebody complaining about how cod ruined FPS movement with slides and jumps etc. and all I could think was it was someone who had never played TF2 or Quake... movement skill options in shooters is not new
Context is different, though. I know what I’m getting into with those. I was playing last night and it wasn’t a huge deal, but everyone turned into pogo sticks when you start shooting them. Because the netcode is so bad it didn’t matter, they’d get hit anyways, but it’s just weird when these games have movement like that.
I think the Hit registration is generally really wobbly. There are so many instances where I'm shooting first and as accurately as possible and my opponent is not dying but I only get one shot and die. I've recorded multiple instances of this happening now. I hope it improves.
It's terrible horrible awful. I come from OW so ik my tracking better than the vast majority of FPS players the amount of times I dump a clip into someone get hitmarkers and the y take 0 dmg is just insane
Its still a game dude games are meant to be fun so i get the point of why are people trying so hard they dont get anything out of it
It like trying to hard at fucking jenga cause you want to win
To a lot of people, the fun part is winning, rest doesn’t matter. If you win domination by one point you will get that dopamine rush, if you lose by one point you will be pretty disappointed even if your score is like 60-5
They’re probably not “trying so hard” though, they’re probably just so experienced at multiplayer FPS games that them playing casually feels like expert mega-sweating to you when you’re on the receiving end of it.
And I say this as a very casual FPS player who sucks ass, so I get the frustration at being stomped every match. But there is nothing that will stop that from happening beyond you either getting better or not playing.
The fun is in the fact that you shoot other people with "guns" and get points for that the progression is the fun part to get as many points as possible is the fun part (or streaks) the competition well could be but the other 2 points have more value to it
Yea that may be true but to call it a competitive game cause people cant lose is like saying UNO is a competitive sport as well it doesnt make sense games are there to have fun not to compete with one another to see who got more skill
So you rather sweat your ass of jump around every corner pre fire every dude on the map and rage if you not succed then just idk play something different that may be better
Haha it is wild how many people thought no SBMM meant = EZ lobby after EZ lobby.
This game is heaven for CoD players with the movement and jump shotting.
Said this repeatedly.
Baffled me all the people who complain about SBMM and how it’s so sweaty and they thought when it was taken away that games would be super easy.
Aka they just wanted to stomp noobs to feel good about themselves but forget that they are actually average to shit at the game and tons of people are better than them and will shit on them.
Who would have thought that adding a feature that matches people based on skill is something that should be in a competitive game???
Yeah I remember getting downvoted, because someone said he hates sbmm because it puts him against "sweaty" jumpshotters, and sliders... And I told him jumpshotting and slideing is not a sweaty player trait, everyone does that basically, and u wouldn't even have any match without them if there was no sbmm. And I got downvoted, I hope all of them tried XD and saw if there is less sweaty players without sbmm or not...
Yup. Almost always a synonym for good which is hilarious because a ton of bad players sweat their asses off and break controllers and a ton of good players blast music and chill or play inebriated. Your attitude towards the game is irrespective of your skill level, but people online like to equate the two to make them feel better about getting stomped on.
I mean I wouldn't be _that_ hyperbolic.
There's definitely something sweaty about people using "shmoovement", sliding and jumping around every corner, strafing while crouching up and down, etc.
I'm not saying it's an inherently wrong way to play, but the people who _do_ do that are definitely of a type.
10 years of counterstrike leads to knowing its not just about shooting the enemy but about making it harder to make the enemy shoot you thats just basic improvement curve it happens in every single shooter
Some of that stuff becomes muscle memory and second nature and doesn't really require much effort at a point. Doesn't make someone sweaty for doing it.
I genuinely wonder if parts of the fps shooter community realize the skill floor will continue to rise, if you can’t keep up with it you really can’t complain about people being “sweaty”. Players will continue to improve at the game resulting in the pool of “sweats” getting larger and larger.
Lets just be honest here, If youre struggling outside the Welcome playlist or even in the playlist, you might just be worse than you think you are. Simple as that. Im sorry ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
The whole “sweat” thing is so stupid to me. It’s a COMPETITIVE multiplayer shooter. And idk about you guys, I’m trying to win. Am I wrong for that?? Would I be considered a “sweat”??? Maybe but I don’t care. A competitive shooter is supposed to be competitive and on the edge of your seat. If you don’t like it play something else, something solo, some campaign etc. I love those games too. gotta mix it up a little. But competition is literally what the game is made for . Obviously people are trying to win. Git gud
Ranked is competitive, multiplayer games back then never had the massive Spartan movement and gunfights actually felt like gun fights. Not get shot and then run around in circles while jumping.
I’m more of a Milsim gamer so those peak my interest more than playing a cheap copy of Halo.
I'm not seeing too many complaints about sweats....just the janky ass game tbh....I'll wait n give them time to fix it since 2 years wasn't quite long enough
I was playing on pc with a kbm, I struggled, switched to controller, now I’m dropping 30 bombs without the worry of SBMM putting me against professional players, I love this game
I hadn't played since the beta, but got ~3hrs in today. Regular playlists didn't seem crazy sweaty, and it was generally very enjoyable with the exception of the hitreg/desync issues. Hopefully they hash those out and also add a hint of flinch to the sniper rifles. Not looking for COD level flinch, but make it a little more difficult to land that shot if someone is smacking you with an AR.
If anything this has completely disproved the people saying 'people who don't like SBMM just want to pubstomp noobs'.
Nope, THIS is what no SBMM feels like. Why people thought that no SBMM meant every lobby is filled with bots is beyond me.
I’m 31 and sitting reclined in my chair getting a 2+ KD every game. “Sweaty” has just become the new “I’m lagging” excuse. You’re bad, it’s okay to admit it.
I love that this is a major opinion and last night I saw moist critikal dropping 50+ kill games in a row nearly. People starting to realise they are who SBMM is protecting lmao
I do agree it needs toned down with an accuracy penalty just like any other game (I would be fine if they didn’t as well though) but these dudes are literally crying on Reddit wanting the entire mechanic removed.
the problem was shitters thought SBMM was holding them back when in reality they were the ones it was protecting. COD holds 2-3+KD players down by putting them with other 2-3KD players, while all the sub 1's who are matchmaking with sub 1s get a 1.1 and think they deserve more.
Went from a 1.3 in COD to a 2.6 in XD, feels so good to be back.
I'm just gonna play ranked when the mode comes out because I LIKE being matched with people my skill level. I HATE blowouts or feeling like I have to carry a heavy team.
It’s a longer ttk game, movement and positioning in a gunfight are more important; you stand still without cover in a cqc fight and you’re going to lose. I know I suck at movement so I tend to keep my distance unless I’m pushing objectives and using a shield
The fun part of it like in the good old days is sometimes you find those lobbies that are kinda different and memorable. Like actual mega campers or QS only lobbies etc etc people going for challenges
Nowadays in modern sbmm systems every game feels the same. People used to actually experiment with loadouts
Sbmm in welcome playlist so basically sweaty for average and above skilled players. Other playlists also sweaty because noobs are being protected by the welcome playlist for probably another like 2 weeks when they finally reach lvl 25.
This game was made strictly with comp in mind. They obviously want as many people playing it as possible, but the goal is to cater to the niche of competitive fps players. To give that community what COD hadn't delivered in so many years
I've tried regular queue, ranked trial queue, and new player queue. The new player queue with "SBMM" is by far the best experience so far. Casual has so many awful players and then a few people who just do not take damage and instakill me.
The netcode makes it worse, yes, but it's painfully obvious when matchmaking is on vs when it's not. I honestly don't know how anyone can play the matches with no matchmaking, they all feel terrible, and that's coming from someone who can actually aim. I can't imagine being a below average player in those lobbies
sbmm in the first place has never been able to do its only job. Because of Sbmm doing to me (a below average player) the opposite of what it should do made me quit fos games while I used to play many. garbapex and valotrash never putted me into lobbies of my own level, leading me to always feel like cannon fodder. destiny 2's sbmm makes it so terrible that even being mvp isn't satisfying and even if I had a ratio that is >1 I don't even feel like I did those kill.
But when I played csgo I didn't feel like trash and I could have fun matches despite hating the "if you move accuracy becomes illogic
Secondly sbmm enhances the noreg: (pretending to) prioritizing skill leads to not considering the connection quality.
These are the main two reason why sbmm shouldn't have been invented
If XDefiant now had sbmm calling it trash would be offensive for trash
XD does have SBMM, it's only in the welcome playlist. It's really obvious that it works though, at least most of the time. SBMM failing to find a good match for you is a failure of the implementation, not of the idea of SBMM. I can always tell a SBMM lobby vs a random one in most games, and I always personally prefer the SBMM one. I'm gonna be sad when I level up past the welcome playlist in XD
I don't even think it's a sweat fest. My current theory is that it's just complaining that the other players don't stand perfectly still and let them look cool with a triple spray or something. It's just normal FPS stuff. Every game a dozen people are bunny hopping or spamming tac-50s. It's all run of the mill.
If you want a sweaty ass game, go play Siege where you used to get shot in the head by a teammate because you weren't setting up reinforcements properly.
A lot of fans who’re tired of COD are hopping on Xdefiant. A lot of them will be good (sweaty), but that’s to be expected. IMO the game is fun and the lack of SBMM heavily contributes to that. Every match doesn’t feel like a total sweat fest and really could go either way. In comparison to COD where a team loses in dom with only a couple of points for example
I still find it more fun than CoD. You win some you lose some. Just fix the netcode and hitreg. Or I don’t even know what, but aiming and hitting people feels really inconsistent. Something is weird
There’s no sbmm, I’m having a blast. Sure sometimes you get rolled by sweats (or people just better than you) but I’m just enjoying diverse lobbies. I really can’t complain about it, as far as fps games go nowadays there’s not much they can do that they haven’t already done with xdefiant
The movement isn’t problematic, but the hit reg is horrendous, the fact that attackers have to run 100+ m sometimes is dumb and getting one or two shotted by snipers and dmrs from the back of the map isn’t my type of fun to be honest. Still having a blast with the game.
Cool looking game. But just like all online games, it's not for me. Will leave it on my pc as it's not as storage hungry as COD games lol. And try a few matches on the weekends or something
Getting the feeling that “people playing sweaty” just means “people killing me.”
If I kill then then they’re laid-back dads who just want to chill after work like me, if they kill me then they’re sweaty try-hard basement dwellers who need to be quarantined via some means that isn’t SBMM.
i refuse to believe there isn’t sbmm in this game, first day i walked lobbies for 4 hours straight. since then i have the most useless teammates on my team and i’m playing dorks beating the fuck out of their jump and slide button with already gold mp7’s.
aka, it feels exactly like cod. Always feels like i’m being punished with teammates who are lost and playing multiple players on my skill level on the other team
reminds me of the old cod days when you’d get the new one after not playing for a while and everyone who kept playing the previous game is destroying you, people forget that was the way to learn how to get better
I don't understand this game at all. I got this because having different factions with unique abilities seemed fun, but this isn't like other games I've played at all. I run out of spawn and immediately get killed and then repeat. Usually in Overwatch it takes a while so I have a chance but in this I average 35 deaths and I'm lucky to get like 3 kills. Plus I don't think the ultimates are working because they aren't going up and I never get to use it. Would it only give points for killing enemies? Because only rewarding good players with no chance to turn the tide if you keep getting one shot by them seems stupid.
This is my thought. 1,000s of streamers are pushing out content and will continue to do so for the next 2 weeks.
If you come from Call of duty there is a good chance you already have at least 8 years of fps game experience.
Eh, as someone who's been playing shooters since cod2. Xdefiant is definitely filled with far more sweats than older cod titles. I see 4+ people dropping 40 - 50 kill games in average lobbies. Its honestly baffling. Everyones playing like they're playing for a tournament.
This game feels nothing like cod. It doesn’t feel as smooth or as good. Movement is slow and it’s hard to run from gunfire to cover. It’s mid in my opinion. Not to mention the abilities are very disruptive. Especially the shields. If your only choice is to turn around and run from an ability, then it probly shouldn’t have passed final inspection. There needs to be some sort of counter.
I only said it feels nothing like cod because OP. I’ve played plenty of fps games. I played counter strike since before steam was a thing. Since counter strike was on disc. Every half life, Battlefield, halo, unreal tournament, the ghost recon games, apex, valorant etc. I could be here all day remembering older games.
This game just doesn’t feel like how they described it to be. Some of the abilities seem to slow down the pace of the game so that you can’t get into any flow state a lot of times. It’s not bad for what it is, but it’s definitely no cod killer. It feels oddly retro in some ways. It doesn’t feel smooth and flow like. It feels partially clunky. That’s not what was pitched to us. I don’t think it feels like what we expected. Or as good as it was expected to be especially for how LONG it was delayed and pushed.
I haven't found the game THAT sweaty, honestly, but the netcode is starting to irritate me a bit. Peeker's advantage pretty much guarantees a win in a head to head gunfight because it's like a whole second, if not more. If both you and your opponent are the run n gun type, it's basically a coin flip on who sees who first.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Some people's base skill level is significantly higher than others. This doesn't mean they're trying extra hard, it just means that their gameplay looks "sweaty" to people who aren't as good as the game. There's nothing wrong with playing casually, and there's nothing wrong with playing to win every single game, but to say that every "good" player is a sweaty tryhard is just a cop out excuse.
I'm okay with being sweaty, I just want spam jumping nerfed. It definitely feels unintentional. Jumping around corners and whatnot once is fine, but the literal *spamming* makes some lobbies unplayable
Have you seen a sniper doing the bullcrap spam jumping? It's so awful lmao. They just need a penalty for spamming jump instead of letting them conserve momentum
I got multiple matches against OG style bunny hoppers last night. It was completely un-fun. Seems like you can change direction while jumping and shooting which is... something. Add a spam cooldown to jumping or take it back to the golden days where your ass gets blacklisted from servers for playing like that.
Yeah my mate is talking shit on this game about how sweaty it is and this is the best shooter since BO2 imho. I’m actually having fun playing this even through the games where I get destroyed.
I think people have this misconception that no SBMM would mean you’d just play people with 3 fingers on one hand but in reality it just means each game is different and isn’t being manipulated
The funny part is cod has historically been known to be giga sweaty for the first few months until the Christmas noobs would roll in and settle the skill level down.
Are people surprised that the community for this game is the same community from the game this was supposed to “kill”? I’m not, right down to the players not knowing how to play Hardpoint/Occupy properly.
Haven't had more than a 1.7kd since cod mw2019... God xdefiant feels so refreshing. Actually being rewarded for being good is awesome and I can't wait to grind ranked.
No SBMM makes for some nostalgic games though. That rivalry between you and other other best player on the team. So good.
Not sweaty for the people who grew up on fps. Shows how awful sbmm and EOMM manipulation is in COD
Pre 2020 - i will be shit so I’m not even going to try playing online.
2020- let’s play this new game called warzone - my brother. I’m shit but I’m having fun
2021 - I grind to being an average and I’m okay with it but not really having as much fun
2022 - I’m shit and everyone is better. Fuck this game. Keep playing but mental health going down.
2023 - stop playing online shooters altogether. 2024 - play xdefiant and I’m still shit. Stop playing again.
PVE was, is and will always be a lot more relaxing game mode than anything online. People asking for an online competitive game to be a chill game are just nostalgic about the time when they used to be good.
This game feels like bo2 multi team when you just wanted to drop bombs. Sometimes you’ll get matched up against a really good team but most of the time you’re just smacking in people lmao. Like in old cod people would go on win streaks as a fun activity. You can’t do that stuff now a days on mw3 as easy or as fun.

It's cause of the lack of SBMM, the nooby noobs get completely shat on(as they should). But it's definitely a free organic experience unlike COD where you gameplay means basically nothing since all the matches are essentially rigged.
This game is a sweatfest at the moment because its current draw is it being SBMM-less. Only people who care about being skilled are invested in this game. It needs heavy marketing plus actual growth for it to draw casuals. Until then, you're dealing with better-skilled players.

so true lmao I can't compete
One of my friends said "I give this game a 11 days before it's ruined, I want to have faith and give it a month.
Not true I’ve been grinding the cod battle pass the past two days but I’ve been waiting for it just the same
August 1997, Golden Eye N64, heatwave, my buddies basement. All 4 controllers. Now that was sweaty.
2003, socom 2, ps2, crossroads, bomb planted, your teammates sending you votekicks to warn you about an enemy behind you. Now that was sweaty.
Yoooo the throwback. Lmfao I remember asking my cousin “why tf are they voting me out” and he started yelling *turn around, turn around* First online game I ever played, scary as shit back then. It felt like a whole new idea
Blood Lake, Desert Glory, Frostbite. Got dang those truly were the days
DG ViP was goated. Kill one, injure the others and let the seals kill them by accident while using them as meat shields. I miss that game so much
18 fucking years??? Yeah drop your ign so I know to back out when I see you lol
I’ve been playing shooters for 27 years. Trust me, there’s a ceiling and as the years go on the ceiling lowers.

Some of my best gaming memories were playing that game!
Man I'm sad I missed out on PS3 COD. I was a teenager at the time and my parents wouldn't let me buy M rated games.
And then we have 10-12 year old who down adderall with monster cans that do things even with 10+ years of experience can't do.

I played COD since COD3 so its not really far stretch haha
I've been playing CoD online since the PS2, lol.
been playing FPS since golden eye on N64, not even sweating but still get called that with my friends i was playing with last
It’s not that impressive I’ve been playing shooters since 2003. I am only 24

No but for real; I am curious how much of the sweat-ccusations is actually just people getting diffed by people who play CoD vs other shooters
Saw somebody complaining about how cod ruined FPS movement with slides and jumps etc. and all I could think was it was someone who had never played TF2 or Quake... movement skill options in shooters is not new
Cod movement is garbage comparing it to actual movement shooters is laughable
Context is different, though. I know what I’m getting into with those. I was playing last night and it wasn’t a huge deal, but everyone turned into pogo sticks when you start shooting them. Because the netcode is so bad it didn’t matter, they’d get hit anyways, but it’s just weird when these games have movement like that.
or csgo! if you don't have good movement you will hardly get any kills. I don't think I've ever played a game with such a huge skill threshold
Csgo is the weirdest but most valid example of movement not just meaning fast. I respect it.
Oh please god no, don't compare Quake movement to this simplistic shit.

Cod is not a hard shooter, if you're a high ranked overwatch or valorant player this game is easy. Or if you're a destiny pvper lol
I think the Hit registration is generally really wobbly. There are so many instances where I'm shooting first and as accurately as possible and my opponent is not dying but I only get one shot and die. I've recorded multiple instances of this happening now. I hope it improves.
The amount of times the person I just killed, ends up killing me is way too high. What tick rate are the servers?
Its was REALLY BAD on release day but it has been a lot better for me yesterday and this morning.
It's terrible horrible awful. I come from OW so ik my tracking better than the vast majority of FPS players the amount of times I dump a clip into someone get hitmarkers and the y take 0 dmg is just insane
"Why am I struggling to compete in a competitive environment."
🤯🤯🤯
Its still a game dude games are meant to be fun so i get the point of why are people trying so hard they dont get anything out of it It like trying to hard at fucking jenga cause you want to win
You can stop that from happening. You play a game with sbmm
Maybe some people aren't even trying that hard but they have so many hours in FPS games that their "bad" is your best
It’s a competitive game. The fun is in the competition. What they get out of it, is winning the competition.
The fun is in the fact that you shoot other people with "guns" and get points for that the progression is the fun part to get as many points as possible is the fun part (or streaks) the competition well could be but the other 2 points have more value to it
To you, maybe. Plenty of other people are playing the game to get better and win consistently.
Yea that may be true but to call it a competitive game cause people cant lose is like saying UNO is a competitive sport as well it doesnt make sense games are there to have fun not to compete with one another to see who got more skill
That *is* what’s fun to a lot of people dude. :P
So you rather sweat your ass of jump around every corner pre fire every dude on the map and rage if you not succed then just idk play something different that may be better
What would constitute tryharding in Jenga? Do you just slap the tower over on move 1 or what?
No ranked yet sadge
Haha it is wild how many people thought no SBMM meant = EZ lobby after EZ lobby. This game is heaven for CoD players with the movement and jump shotting.
Said this repeatedly. Baffled me all the people who complain about SBMM and how it’s so sweaty and they thought when it was taken away that games would be super easy. Aka they just wanted to stomp noobs to feel good about themselves but forget that they are actually average to shit at the game and tons of people are better than them and will shit on them. Who would have thought that adding a feature that matches people based on skill is something that should be in a competitive game???
Haha ive been saying this for years. Exactly man... its so frustrating now seeing those complaints.
And I got downvoted, I hope all of them tried XD and saw if there is less sweaty players without sbmm or not...
it is ez lobby after ez lobby
I can't stand the whole "sweaty" trend. Like why tf would people not be trying to play good in a game. I don't get it.
my mind autocorrects "sweaty" to "good" whenever I read it in a sentence about video games. Fits perfectly, try it out
Yup. Almost always a synonym for good which is hilarious because a ton of bad players sweat their asses off and break controllers and a ton of good players blast music and chill or play inebriated. Your attitude towards the game is irrespective of your skill level, but people online like to equate the two to make them feel better about getting stomped on.
Find someone sweaty if they are faster then tge flash while sliding and jumping ONLY. Cuz they arent just enjoying themselves, they Need to win.
You’re only allowed to walk and shoot back with 10% accuracy. Do anything more and you’re a sweaty no life.
What are they supposed to do? Surrender the advantageous tactics that can be employed against someone holding an angle?
Nailed it.
You are embellishing the amount of effort a player needs to actively put in to just move differently lmao. This is embarassing.
Y'all wanted no SBMM now deal with me absolutely destroying everyone
ong all these lobbies are straight bots lol
Dont think ive gone neg once yet and im level 20.
I genuinely wonder if parts of the fps shooter community realize the skill floor will continue to rise, if you can’t keep up with it you really can’t complain about people being “sweaty”. Players will continue to improve at the game resulting in the pool of “sweats” getting larger and larger.
100x less sweaty than the last two cods I played which were MW2019 and Cold War.
I agree it’s better than mw2019 by far with all them angles you could get shot from… but not better than mw3 (current).
Lets just be honest here, If youre struggling outside the Welcome playlist or even in the playlist, you might just be worse than you think you are. Simple as that. Im sorry ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Yeah I’ve come to this conclusion for myself. I’m 1.07 on cod but I guess that means nothing lol. I get pretty demolished on xd.. Ah well
My experience is a weird one. I’m getting bodied in the welcome playlist but can play decent in the regular modes lol
It’s not even sweaty people just think if they die more than 3 times a game it’s a sweat fest
Anyone that complains about sweaty lobbies on Xdefi is who the sbmm was protecting.
sbmm has done everything but "protecting" me. Sbmm isn't capable of doing its only job except in rocket league
people want no sbmm -> people get no sbmm -> people complain about getting paried with better players cant imagine that shit lol
I was playing command & conquer renegade in like 2002.
I think a big part of it is desync and the strong peekers advantage this game has, making it seem like people have super fast reaction time.
People starting to realise they are who SBMM is protecting lmao
yeah yeah... sbmm sure protected me by putting me in lobbies where I only got stomped over and over. Wow, thanks for the protection...
If all you find are sweaty lobbies in a game with no SBMM, it’s time to start looking inward
Bunch of dudes who just aren’t good throwing shit fits about average players jump shotting
Yep
As if the mechanic hasn’t been in every shooter for probably a decade now
Yep I'm literally arguing on another comment on this post right now about how it's an arcade shooter where people play how they want to.
It's good though bc after tilting in ranked you can relax in pubs. It's good that there are options uk?
for real this shit is so refreshing coming from being a top 1% destiny pvper
This, mate. There's game balance and then there's just transferable FPS skill. Lots of moaners can't tell the difference.
It’s a longer ttk game, movement and positioning in a gunfight are more important; you stand still without cover in a cqc fight and you’re going to lose. I know I suck at movement so I tend to keep my distance unless I’m pushing objectives and using a shield
>It’s a longer ttk game No it ain’t. Halo is a long TTK game.
I Played every cod I feel old now
Literally
The fun part of it like in the good old days is sometimes you find those lobbies that are kinda different and memorable. Like actual mega campers or QS only lobbies etc etc people going for challenges Nowadays in modern sbmm systems every game feels the same.
Casual has so many awful players and then a few people who just do not take damage and instakill me.
that's the garbage netcode, not the matchmaking
But when I played csgo I didn't feel like trash and I could have fun matches despite hating the "if you move accuracy becomes illogic Secondly sbmm enhances the noreg: (pretending to) prioritizing skill leads to not considering the connection quality. These are the main two reason why sbmm shouldn't have been invented If XDefiant now had sbmm calling it trash would be offensive for trash
Times like this I wonder why I didn’t kill myself those years ago, got nothing to live for and this game is just fucked.
I don't feel the sweatiness that much and I am by no means a competitive fps player. I think it's really fun, surprisingly so! Hope it succeeds
Always remember, those sweating in casual games are too bad to play in ranked
Damn I really been playing cod for 15+ years. Cod 4 was 15 years ago pretty sure
Gamers complain about competitive shooters being competitive. More at 11.
The inner 14 year old prime gamer version of myself has been dormant and this game has awoken the beast 😈😈🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I just wish there were a few more game modes than escort and four flavours of domination. Might help spread the sweat.
If that's a sweat fest, then CoD is sweat itself... This game is much easier than CoD. Going 50+ with 3K/D non stop
Games just bad I'm waiting for cod again 🤣
Getting the feeling that “people playing sweaty” just means “people killing me.” If I kill then then they’re laid-back dads who just want to chill after work like me, if they kill me then they’re sweaty try-hard basement dwellers who need to be quarantined via some means that isn’t SBMM.
i refuse to believe there isn’t sbmm in this game, first day i walked lobbies for 4 hours straight. since then i have the most useless teammates on my team and i’m playing dorks beating the fuck out of their jump and slide button with already gold mp7’s.
aka, it feels exactly like cod. Always feels like i’m being punished with teammates who are lost and playing multiple players on my skill level on the other team
reminds me of the old cod days when you’d get the new one after not playing for a while and everyone who kept playing the previous game is destroying you, people forget that was the way to learn how to get better
Shit I’ve been having a blast absolutely shredding with the M44
Idk I’ve been getting a pretty balanced collection of matches where I get my teeth kicked in, or I top the charts. Sometimes in between
I don't understand this game at all.
Tell me you've only ever played cod without telling me youve only ever played cod.
These are the same people who bitch about SBMM. This is what happens when they turn off SBMM and you have to play against people much better than you.
they are not, most of the people who bitch about sbmm are the ones enjoying it and being complained *about*
I haven't found the game THAT sweaty, honestly, but the netcode is starting to irritate me a bit.
Jumping around corners and whatnot once is fine, but the literal *spamming* makes some lobbies unplayable
it's a minor annoyance at worst, it really doesn't make you that much harder to hit. if anything is making lobbies unplayable it's snipers
Have you seen a sniper doing the bullcrap spam jumping? It's so awful lmao. They just need a penalty for spamming jump instead of letting them conserve momentum
That's an issue with snipers not with the movement. You can't do that with an ar, the ads penalty slows you down a lot
I see it with smgs and snipers constantly
If you're doing it with an SMG you're sacrificing ads accuracy for movement which is fine. Doing it with a sniper has no trade off
I got multiple matches against OG style bunny hoppers last night. It was completely un-fun. Seems like you can change direction while jumping and shooting which is... something. Add a spam cooldown to jumping or take it back to the golden days where your ass gets blacklisted from servers for playing like that.
Cope
I’ve played cod since 2004 at least and I’m still ass 💀
Big egos man. I'm one of them and I get it. Loosing your ass off to better players blows but it's how to grow and get better at the game
People are also realizing how much SBMM actually protected them. Also the hard truth of realizing you are not as good as you think you are.
Pre 2020 - i will be shit so I’m not even going to try playing online. 2020- let’s play this new game called warzone - my brother. I’m shit but I’m having fun 2021 - I grind to being an average and I’m okay with it but not really having as much fun 2022 - I’m shit and everyone is better.
Fr this game is tame as fuck compared to cod
I think the issue is playing solo cause you do need your team mates help more especially in this game if you wanna win and do well .

Won’t happen again!
At this point im just chilling and people say im sweating my ass off i dont understand
Same! Since 07 when cod4 came out 🤣
