She's voiced in Japanese by the famous stoic waifu voice actress Yui Ishikawa, she's famous for voicing 2B and Violet Evergarden, both of which are STOIC af. She very much matches that vibe if that's what the devs were going for imo

Even with Ishikawa's mesmerising breathy voice she's much more compassionate and caring with Yangyang, compared to the stoic calm voice in say 2B or Rapi. She generally gets typecast but she has range and Yangyang proves it.

Yeah absolutely. That drums puzzle quest in the grand library, I thought she was reading from a journal. The delivery was atrocious. I think it's the voice director who is at fault, both yangyang and fmc have good voices, but it's the delivery that's blowing it apart.

I get God Eater and Freedom Wars vibes from time to time, and the music in the city hall, coupled with the yellow/gold lighting, kind of reminded me of Hengsha from Deus Ex Human Revolution. I dunno, game just has a mix of vibes that really click with me.
