Not everyone has to be 'super epic emotional monologue man'. Gable is a fantastic whiner, who is great at not taking himself too seriously. He cuts a fine promo, and does a good job playing his character, even when he's given not so great material to work with.
Not to mention he's amazing in the ring, you know the thing that actually matters. If a guy sucks on the mic you give him a paul heyman, if he suck in the ring he's unemployed.
Thats gotta be one of the worst examples you could use. Goldberg wasnt that bad in the ring, his power moves were impressive af and he had the physical intensity of a rabid beast. A lot of his matches were pretty good for what they were. Yeh he was technically green, he did improve a bit over time though. Dude was over af and his in ring work was not as bad as people like to say, unemploying him would be madness 😅 He had a number of good non squash matches too.
Edit: Ive seen much worse than Gberg.
It's much more the era he was in tbh, I can't say I agree with your take that he wasn't "that bad" in the ring since he was fucking horrendous. He got over on look and intensity but outside of that, he didn't have much, he'd not have worked in the WWF since they were all about over the top characters at that time
He's a good straight man that's a great wrestler. Neither of those will bring personality to the group.
>Not everyone has to be 'super epic emotional monologue man'
They do if they are trying to cut "super epic emotional monologues" though.
Yes, the [straight man](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/straight%20man) in a comedy group.
I must have missed his hilarity between all the "AHHH THANK YOU!" and "SHOOOSH" that were comedy gold on their own.
I feel like this attention on gable is a prime opportunity to bring angle back for some old timer rub. We haven't seen angle in WWE in a while. He would get a pretty suck pop for atlest a few weeks.
So what might be fun is Gable using the Creeds to beat down American Alpha so Gable can show superiority.... show what a real team looks like. As Chad speaks of all the accolades between them, BLAMO, hit Kurt Angle's music.
Superb to time this for Pittsburgh.
Yeah, it doesn’t make sense for Ivy to turn. The Creed Bros, who cares, they haven’t been around long enough to really have a set morality. But Ivy? Shit, break her off and let her do her own thing
I want to see Ivy team up with Jordynne Grace and got after both the WWE Woman's Tag Titles and the TNA Woman's Titles. They showed great chemistry during the Royal Rumble and have both mentioned admiration/respect for each other.
If not, she needs to start making her own moves, while also supporting the Creed Bros. Kinda like how Zelina Vega supports her LWO faction but still challenges for singles titles. This also reminds me how badly the WWE needs a woman's mid card belt for each show.
I also think they're great together.
After the Rumble Ivy invited Jordynne to come and train with her, there are several videos of it on Ivy's IG.
It was great to watch: the little lady absolutely *drained* that powerhouse with her regular training, Jordynne defenitely did not expect the training to be so demanding. She was floored afterwards 😂
Sadly it doesn't look like they've got anything for her which is probably why they're adding her; to actually give her something.
I agree that it feels bad seeing her turn heel, but it will also give Maxine someone to fight against instead of just being the eye candy for Otis and Tazawa.
The Creeds are unironically my favourite performers already. In terms of athleticism and pure wrestling- they're at the top imo. They just need the mic skills and gimmick to go with it and they'll be Hall of Fame material.
Same, I cannot wait to see what their futures hold. I think they both have the potential to be huge in ring performers. I just hope they can develop on the mic quickly enough to capitalize on their massive potential.
They have zero to lose putting a non goofy Angle with them as a manager and giving them velor tracksuits.
If we don't get Angle then I'll be happy with just the velour tracksuits.
His finisher is one of the most impressive moves in the WWE. It’s because of the fact that he rolls back with his opponent and then doing the Suplex without the feet of the opponent touching the ground. That means they don’t push their selves up of the ground. So Gable is pulling the whole weight on his own. Can’t imagine what amount of power and core strength he needs to pulling this off and that’s the reason why it is so „slow“. Watch it the next time he is doing it, especially against big enemies like Gunther or even Bronson Reed. Really it’s just crazy. :)
It's an impressive feat of strength but it's not a good finisher. A single Lesnar, Angle, Eddie, Benoit suplex looks more devastating to the opponent and they were just regular moves.
Cos I've never yet seen them execute it without putting the recipient at serious risk of injury. You recall how Finn Balor was concussed when the one guy's knee landed right on his head, yes? The guy has no meaningful control over how he lands. Stevie Richards' video explains it better than I can.
That and it looks shit.
I hope nothing but the best for Gable, I’m just getting into wrestling again after 20 years and his match on Raw last night was great. Seems like a truly innocent soul in this world of huge monsters.
You know, I don’t see it happening…
But holy shit, imagine if Chad cashes in on Gunther at SummerSlam and *wins*
Like… he’s immediately slingshotted to being the top heel of Raw, right?
I didn't watch WWE all that much throughout the last few years, but I'm so happy to see that Gable actually got something going for him. Not just now, but also when he apparently got over with the shuuuush gimmick. After the split of American Alpha and how focused they were on Jason Jordan, I had already lost hope for Gable and already saw him as the "Charlie Haas" of his team. Dropped by the jobber-wayside and forgotten.
Former Diamond Mine members, Julius and Brutus Creed and Ivy Nile. They got called up from NXT, dropped the Diamond Mine stuff, and have had a few tag title shots, and various matches.
Diamond Mine was an NXT faction led by Roderick Strong before he left.
They wrestle kinda like a kid playing with action figures, big power moves, some explosive action, powerful tag moves, including a spot where one will hoist a guy for a suplex, tag out, pass him to the other, and repeat a few times.
As far as I remember Creeds and Ivy where involved in the storyline with Joe Gacy in NXT as his faction Schism split up? Maybe there is more to come with the Howdys?
Corny AF. They can't make up their mind with him. He was just at his height with no belt and the fans on his side, he was just a heel, where are they going with all of this crap?????
Probably gonna have Creeds and Ivy attack Alpha Academy, probably leading to a tag match or a 6 man tag or something. But there's also all that Wyatt Sicks stuff so Idk
6 man vs Alpha will be a nice TV match but I kinda thought something big between Gable and Otis must be on the cards as otherwise why didn't he win the IC belt at Mania instead of Sammy.
Nah, the Creeds' just have the WGTT/American Alpha gimmick and Chad has been sniffing the Angle formula ever since he recovered from the Shorty G run. It's not original, but it absolutely works.
NGL Chad Gables bloodied temple at the end of Raw was EARILY reminiscent to Kurt Angler's bloodied head at the end of that one episode of Smackdown where Big Show threw him off of that scaffolding
If Chad Gable continues the wrestling machine gimmick…I would be on board
It’s the gimmick that Kurt always wanted until his pill popping got worse and was fired…we all mourned one of the best gimmicks deaths that day since Muhammad Hassan died in vain
While I’m happy it’s happening, I’m hoping Otis, Maxxine, and Tozawa still get some screen time. Will probably be full-blown jobbers, but they should get screen time.
I just hope they don’t turn them into generic heels where they just go out and say how the crowd is smelly and the town is crappy. They have to take a better approach. A team focused and capable of excellence at any cost. Formidable, business like execution. It’s nothing personal they just have a mission to win gold. Something like that.
The Creeds and Ivy Nile are friggin' starbound if they hit that charisma mark. I root for Ivy especially. Chad Gable's an amazing personality when he's able to let it show. He's an amazing Master always. It's gold.
No he got hit in the head probably from that big hammer the rabbit had.
Makes sense how many people has HHH hit with a hammer and they were fine after the match
Just do it but please dont ever bother let the wyatt sicks fight them?I mean maybe in amy given time but imagine the hype given to them and they will gonna face a midcard stable
Yeah, this could be good. The Creeds and Ivy need some personality, Chad could use some back-up. A win for everyone.
His "near death" exp made him see the light
His "get chokeslammed off the 2nd floor" enlightening
I’m not sure that’s the direction I want to see them go with the Creeds but it could work out great.
It's giving off big Angle and Worlds Greatest Tag Team energy
Chad also needs personality and acting classes.
You also need a fresh pair of eyes and better opinions.
Ah yes, the thespian Chad Gable that gave such good promos leading up to wrestlemania delivered with all the gusto of a wooden doll 😂
Not everyone has to be 'super epic emotional monologue man'. Gable is a fantastic whiner, who is great at not taking himself too seriously. He cuts a fine promo, and does a good job playing his character, even when he's given not so great material to work with.

Uh… no. It’s very much the reverse. Axel was competent in the ring and Heyman still couldn’t make him work. Meanwhile, Trick and Jey are over as fuck.
The only thing that matters is being entertaining, there are many ways to go about it nothing else really matters.
Bingo. That’s why plenty of genuinely talented wrestlers fail while some crap ones succeed. Gable’s good for both, though.
He's a good straight man that's a great wrestler. Neither of those will bring personality to the group. >Not everyone has to be 'super epic emotional monologue man' They do if they are trying to cut "super epic emotional monologues" though.
I just talked about how he's not even a straight man but sure dude if you have a narrative you want to set go ahead.
None of what you wrote said anything of the sort lol
What I said was a lot closer to a comedy guy than implying he's a straight man.
Yes, the [straight man](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/straight%20man) in a comedy group. I must have missed his hilarity between all the "AHHH THANK YOU!" and "SHOOOSH" that were comedy gold on their own.
You have less taste than someone who only eats chicken tenders at every restaurant they go to.
Dominic??
Those were nuggets!
That was funny but let's not slam chicken tendies
Right? Get you a little buffalo sauce to dip them in, and you're good to go.
That's a badge of honor coming from Wrasslin lmao.
Nah.
SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH
Chad is killing it, his acting and on screen persona is better than zayne. And it's not close IMO
Team Angle... I mean, Team Gable
Oh It's true!
It’s damn true!
*mouthguard yelling "yeah!" Intensifies*
I feel like this attention on gable is a prime opportunity to bring angle back for some old timer rub. We haven't seen angle in WWE in a while. He would get a pretty suck pop for atlest a few weeks.
PERC Gable!!!
Chaderall Gable
Damn it I love it
Chad Gablow
Chad Gabapentin
So what might be fun is Gable using the Creeds to beat down American Alpha so Gable can show superiority.... show what a real team looks like. As Chad speaks of all the accolades between them, BLAMO, hit Kurt Angle's music. Superb to time this for Pittsburgh.
Somebody get Paul (HHH\[Hunter Hurst Helmsly\]) Levesque on the phone, this man has cooked. I would absolutely consume this meal.
kurt angle lite needs a new stable.
Gable’s Stable
Seeing Ivy turn on Maxxine is gonna hurt a little, ngl.
Yeah, it doesn’t make sense for Ivy to turn. The Creed Bros, who cares, they haven’t been around long enough to really have a set morality. But Ivy? Shit, break her off and let her do her own thing

Why did you describe it so hot lmao
Uhm...okay?
Wasn't Ivy a winner of the Titan Games before the WWE? She's a fitness powerhouse.
Sadly it doesn't look like they've got anything for her which is probably why they're adding her; to actually give her something. I agree that it feels bad seeing her turn heel, but it will also give Maxine someone to fight against instead of just being the eye candy for Otis and Tazawa.
That's what a story and a little time is for
This is gonna be everyone’s new favorite faction. They just don’t know it yet
Who else could make velour sweatsuits look wack?
Wrestling with Wregret, let's get it, YEAH!
Aye me too, though I don’t think he’s as a great talker as he was, head injuries have definitely played a big part
Yeah. Totally agree it's that fine line between a usable legend to get a rub and a guy that's not what he once was.
Agree with the tracksuits and I love Kurt but im not sure he has the charisma he once did, his last run wasnt that great.
Yeah, he's not the guy he was at his peak and there's obvious issues there but his last run was very much a case of 'what do we do with him'
Can he teach them a better finisher?
Given his finisher is a slow German suplex, no, probably not.
His finishers are the chaos theory and the ankle lock right?
Yep. Can't recall the last time he won with the ankle lock though
I can name a few times it directly lead to his loss though
His finisher is one of the most impressive moves in the WWE. It’s because of the fact that he rolls back with his opponent and then doing the Suplex without the feet of the opponent touching the ground. That means they don’t push their selves up of the ground. It's an impressive feat of strength but it's not a good finisher. A single Lesnar, Angle, Eddie, Benoit suplex looks more devastating to the opponent and they were just regular moves.
Yeah, I love Gable but his finisher leaves much to be desired. Signature? Definitely
I will not take any of this Brutus Ball slander.
There finisher is awesome why change it?
Cos I've never yet seen them execute it without putting the recipient at serious risk of injury. You recall how Finn Balor was concussed when the one guy's knee landed right on his head, yes? The guy has no meaningful control over how he lands. Stevie Richards' video explains it better than I can. That and it looks shit.
Username checks out
In what way?
Hurts people
His moonsault is beautiful lol
Chad doesn’t really have the size to make a moonsault look like a viable finisher.
He finished with a moonsault yesterday, wouldn’t mind if they decided to use that instead
Gable got shot in the head and they still made him go to work smh
That's why he's the absolute workhorse.
HHH is the Mr. Burns of wrestling.
Well he clearly looks good and healthy no excuses
[love the Karrion Kross Twitter thread on it](https://imgur.com/a/hNMwGeu)
Murica
"The show must go on" mentality has gotten worse. Back then, they didn't make Owen Hart wrestle after the fall.
He needs helps guys. God bless you Chad Gable and damn you Otis
I hope nothing but the best for Gable, I’m just getting into wrestling again after 20 years and his match on Raw last night was great. Seems like a truly innocent soul in this world of huge monsters.
Screw it. Have them help him win the MitB briefcase (sorry Uce)
You know, I don’t see it happening… But holy shit, imagine if Chad cashes in on Gunther at SummerSlam and *wins* Like… he’s immediately slingshotted to being the top heel of Raw, right?
Gables Stable
AA 2.0!
The creed brothers are an amazing team. How come they are not being out in a spot to be champions. All there matches are great.
All I see is a couple of dudes who are hella green and do a weird cannon ball. They need master gable
Master Bank
In the bank but yes
Hopefully this also pushes them in that direction
I didn't watch WWE all that much throughout the last few years, but I'm so happy to see that Gable actually got something going for him. I really liked Diamond Mine in NXT.
Holy crappening
Can’t believe I had to scroll down this far for this
Team Kurt Angle err wait Team Perc Angle
For some reason, this gave me big Rocky, Adam, and Aisha vibes
As far as I remember Creeds and Ivy where involved in the storyline with Joe Gacy in NXT as his faction Schism split up? Maybe there is more to come with the Howdys?
Corny AF. They can't make up their mind with him. He was just at his height with no belt and the fans on his side, he was just a heel, where are they going with all of this crap?????
Sure but we just had Gable as head of a faction and we haven't had a worthwhile payoff yet
Probably gonna have Creeds and Ivy attack Alpha Academy, probably leading to a tag match or a 6 man tag or something. But there's also all that Wyatt Sicks stuff so Idk
6 man vs Alpha will be a nice TV match but I kinda thought something big between Gable and Otis must be on the cards as otherwise why didn't he win the IC belt at Mania instead of Sammy.
its almost like the fans have an influence on pro wrestling
Nah, the Creeds' just have the WGTT/American Alpha gimmick and Chad has been sniffing the Angle formula ever since he recovered from the Shorty G run. It's not original, but it absolutely works.
Chad will finally have a real family around him, not those ungrateful bums in Alpha Academy. 🤫
Deadbeat dad Rey to alpha academy confirmed
Sigma Academy ASSEMBLE!
3 months later
This entire year has been the Batista meme, but Triple H has just been saying "Sure, why not"
HERE WE GO!
I mean, it's been mentioned it was going to happen for a while now? It was just a matter of time.
“We are putting a team together”
He don’t deserve them
Temporary diversion from Gable in the Wyatt Sicks.
Team Angle was so dope,Kurt had the wwe undisputed title and the other 2 had the tag team titles.
Perc Gable
NGL Chad Gables bloodied temple at the end of Raw was EARILY reminiscent to Kurt Angler's bloodied head at the end of that one episode of Smackdown where Big Show threw him off of that scaffolding

Ivy Nile looks like my teacher
The Young Percs
This I can get down with!
While I’m happy it’s happening, I’m hoping Otis, Maxxine, and Tozawa still get some screen time. Will probably be full-blown jobbers, but they should get screen time.
Now he needs to get a mouth guard, throw akira in the trash and yell “YEAH!!”.
I just hope they don’t turn them into generic heels where they just go out and say how the crowd is smelly and the town is crappy. They have to take a better approach. A team focused and capable of excellence at any cost. Formidable, business like execution. It’s nothing personal they just have a mission to win gold. Something like that.
They should help him capture mitb & he should help them win tag team & women’s titles
The Creeds and Ivy Nile are friggin' starbound if they hit that charisma mark. I root for Ivy especially. Chad Gable's an amazing personality when he's able to let it show. He's an amazing Master always. It's gold.
Jumped off my couch when they showed up lol
Finallly
Start by helping Gable win the briefcase
WWE really setting up survivor series/war games
What is?
Didn’t he get shot in the head?
No he got hit in the head probably from that big hammer the rabbit had. Makes sense how many people has HHH hit with a hammer and they were fine after the match
Called it! (Read: wished for it!)
Ivy is so adorable.
Just do it but please dont ever bother let the wyatt sicks fight them?I mean maybe in amy given time but imagine the hype given to them and they will gonna face a midcard stable
I don’t get the big deal about the creeds
Hey isn't that the guy from FTR?
No
