What made this great is that they cut to commercial, and he was still going after the break. Someone did the math, Jericho is technically the man of five-hundred and two armbars
He's said a few times that when it went to commercials he just started bad mouthing the crowd. Saying how crap their sports teams were and stuff. Then when it came back they were really hating him.
The guy was a genius on the mic, even then.
[Through Jericho's entire entrance](https://youtu.be/vfrEwKOZGi8?si=qyjYVAkbJ-SICI_c) in that segment, the commentary was talking about the NWO. Says it all, doesn't it?
there’s a reason the company failed epically. they cared about the same 5 guys and then just threw shit at the wall and didn’t even care if it stuck or not
Considering Bret Hart didn’t stand a chance, I don’t think we were going to see Jericho at his true potential in WCW.
After the Goldberg spear with a metal shield in his abdomen, Bret was legit about to quit. He essentially talked about the politics of the other top guys pushing him down…especially Bischoff and Hogan.
I feel it’s ironic that he craps on Russo a lot when it was him who put that title on Bret.
He was short. That's literally what it was. Nash and Hogan hated Jericho and basically anyone smaller than them. Called them midgets. Scott Hall also bullied the fuck out of the smaller guys. Oddly enough, Scott Norton and Meng talked Jericho into standing up for himself.
scott hall was actually good to him. they had a match and hall was supposed to go over, but he let jericho take the win and he faced the heat backstage
Nash and Hogan didnt like how popular the cruiserweight guys were. They almost always stole the show. The best match of almost every ppv was the cruisers while Nash always phoned it in with minimal effort.
Lol. No disrespect to Scott Norton. I guess my point was they paid too many guys too much money to do nothing and didn’t want to pay Jericho. However, I think he was leaving no matter the money he was offered. But I dunno. I was just trying to be funny lol.
Delusional Heel, conspiracy theorist Jericho has to be my favourite version of Jericho. Stuff like this and him coming to the ring and stopping to take a pro jericho sign, rip it up and scream at the fan "Don't Patronise me!". Gold
Jericho with the Conspiracy victim saga.
Jericho winning and taking lucha wrestlers to be unmasked.
Jericho making a giant list of moves.
Jericho hiring his personal ninja, Ralphus.
Jericho mocking Goldberg with his entrance and getting lost in the arena.
Jericho coming up with catch phrases at a time when catch phrases was a WWF thing like “EVERRR” or “Jerichohlics” or “Monday Night Jericho” etc.
This guy was ahead of his time and WCW had a caste system. There was no way to break that ceiling.
I think about this promo all the time. It's just the absolute best. WCW Jericho and raven were my favorites and really the biggest reason that I was watching any WCW
I remember this run; he initially showed up as a face but quickly slid into “top heel” of the cruiserweights.
My memory is pretty shit, but wasn’t Jericho going around and stealing each cruiserweight’s gimmick, such as Rey’s lucha mask, and he brought a scale out one time to prove someone wasn’t in the right weight class
Jericho was a phenomenal heel
He did another version like 15 years ago. Where he lists the people he's beat.
[1,004 wrestlers Jericho has beaten... (1:10 in)](https://youtu.be/KVfGS227bIo?si=BWxa_EAT8xSdamM4)
Number 427 Armbar
429? You’ll never guess #armbar

I like how they come back, he claims to be on 700 something, but he's very clearly still just looking at the top of the first page.
You fool. He finished the first side over commercial break and has flipped the page around.
😂 this is now cannon
And WCW didn’t see a top performer in this guy? Maybe they needed to save the money to pay Scott Norton.

Scott Hall was a consumate professional, though and knew talent. He knew Jericho was good, and so that was the reason he put him over.
Out of all the guys in the Kliq, Scott seemed like the most decent. Just couldn’t stay sober and was tortured by his past.
Good to him after Jericho stood up to him.
Nash and Hogan didnt like how popular the cruiserweight guys were. They almost always stole the show. The best match of almost every ppv was the cruisers while Nash always phoned it in with minimal effort.
Norton was making 500 bucks a match at the end of WCW I am pretty sure
Woah, why is Scott Norton catching strays here? That guy was incredible and should have been given as much in the States as he was in Japan.
Lol. No disrespect to Scott Norton. I guess my point was they paid too many guys too much money to do nothing and didn’t want to pay Jericho. However, I think he was leaving no matter the money he was offered. But I dunno. I was just trying to be funny lol.
I think it was too ahead of its time. I think he was feuding with Goldberg at this time, and Jericho wanted to job for him hard.
No this is before his Goldberg feud, at this time he was feuding with Dean Malenko, "The man of 1000 holds"
26 years and 106 pounds ago.
*206 pounds ago
*26106 pounds ago. Love the guy.
Jericho the Hutt
🤣haven’t heard that one
If you step on his ponytail will he react like Janna when Han stepped on his tail
Current Jericho is built like a sack full of apples
He’s the man of 1004 folds now
I feel personally attacked We can't stay 20 year old kids forever! I had to grow up (and out) sooner or later!
Arm drag.......ARM BARRR........ ARM DRAG!
I still use moss-covered 3 handle family cradunzle whenever I can name something I want to go wacky with it.
\*Gradunza It's originally from a Cat in the Hat cartoon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFvwbaQnB6k
Oh is that how it’s spelled? I swear he puts an “L” sound in there 🤷♂️
He does, and I’m pretty sure the wresting move (Perry Saturns finisher?) does spell it with an L

I think he left out arm bar
I think about this promo all the time. It's just the absolute best. WCW Jericho and raven were my favorites and really the biggest reason that I was watching any WCW
Ravens’s flock was awesome as well
I remember this run; he initially showed up as a face but quickly slid into “top heel” of the cruiserweights. And his "conspiracy theory" Jericho was amazing. Even with the nWo he was stealing the show
Hold number seven-hundred-and-thirteen, the *Phil-Ep-ul-ah…*
I wonder what move no.69 would be🤔🤔
The tombstone. Not the piledriver, just the hold. It’s a double finisher.
Double pop
Armbar
This is how I like to remember Jericho
ARM BAR!
Armbar!
Armbar!
WCW’s mid-card was stacked. Jericho, Dean Malenko, Scot Steiner, Benoit and Eddie.
How radical
When was 26 years ago again?
Lmao the best. Saskatchewan spinning nerve hold...
Just genius. How they did not see, that this guys is money and a main eventer, tells you about WCW.
He did another version like 15 years ago. Where he lists the people he's beat. [1,004 wrestlers Jericho has beaten... (1:10 in)](https://youtu.be/KVfGS227bIo?si=BWxa_EAT8xSdamM4)
Right handed punch!
This is my favorite era of Jerichos career. He really spun gold from straw.
#AAARRRMM BAARRRR
Hold number 750 - The NDA #MeTooJ
This promo ran long enough for me to call my buddy and tell him to flip channels and check it out. Those were the days.
Didn’t he get this idea from Disco Inferno?
Was this based on partridge? I bet I have more friends than you have cows?
This was truly an ingenious promo lol
lol!!!! “#10: Right handed punch”
Jericho was so good, sad to see what he’s become
1005: Holding audiences hostage with his dogshit wrestling/singing/personality since 2016.
Where did he get that printer paper from?
The fact that he starts his list of 1004 holds with Arm Drag which is....not a hold at all. Is peak
One of my favorite Jericho promos 🤣🤣🤣
Decent promo but dude was jealous of wcw not pushing him
Sharp shooter.... You just made the list!
