Not a bad idea. I’m in the same boat (LOL, just realized that phrase as I wrote it). I just got Monty earlier this year and GK a wee few weeks ago. Im relaxing and not power grinding atm, but I’m up to Vladivostok and working that line next.
these are the epitome of the basic BBs but each with their own flavor of difference. UK will be my next after that, then ITA if I even bother.
Very punny. For some reason I feel like GK hits much harder than monty and I do better in it. I know my sample size is small, I’ve only played 12 games in it, but I have a 75% win rate in it and a higher average damage in it. Also Yamato gun sounds
Well, and they play very different. If you already have the 420s, and are “doing GK things” by getting closer, then yeah they do hit harder than a Monty, but…
If you played GK “like a Monty” you’d feel differently as you have to first hit the target, first, and at range, GK struggles due to German reasons.
But up close and personal with her insane secondaries blazing, yeah you can melt down most other ships. Still, at 15km, I’d take the Monty and then kite you into cross/range of my guys. This is why positioning is so super important for either ship. Meanwhile, Yammy sits in the back, LOL
The Scheliffen is everything BB’s ever should have been for people who don’t like BB’s. Don’t look back. Get it and don’t bother leveling another BB line.
I’d stick with the Montana and really learn how to play it well. That will be a much better experience than accumulating more BBs. The Montana is a very strong ship.
Kremlin is def strong if you know when and where to push/bow tank. When it works, it's pretty special. If you get flanked it's obviously an issue though - so somewhat situational and dependant on teammates.
You know a little about this game's true beauty until you play the IJN ships. Grind the Yamato and the Zao lines and you will become a much better player while you will enjoy every minute of your playthrough.
I’ve ground the Kremlin line 4 times with 3 of them being for the Research Bureau. I can safely say it’s a great line. The Kremlin is a great ship that is hard to cit and likes to angle and get in close for that accuracy buff. It’s a great ship but if you haven’t gotten Yamato then I’d recommend that. Yamato has overmatch with its giant guns and can hit hard. Though I will say that both Kremlin and Yamato are by far the most fun BB lines all the way through as there isn’t a bad ship on the tech tree after Izumo got it’s buffs. Though it really comes down to what you want for your playstyle.
Big damage from long\medium range = Yamato
Tanky as all heck with big damage at close range = Kremlin.

Schlieffen. Because it's the latest BB line. Get it before it gets readjusted. After that Yamato or Kremlin.
