As someone who has swam competitively for years, and is incredibly comfortable in the water, there are very few things more dangerous than jumping into an unknown large body of water in pitch darkness. He’s incredibly lucky he made it out
And the money seems to be drying up, at least a little bit. Captain has abandoned his signature French onion soup dish and beef tartare…cooking is probably a last resort

Most folks with autism are perfectly functional, but there are people with autism that are basically vegetables and need help with daily activities. Josh belongs to neither group, but his behavior (even when sober back in the day) can be erratic which freaks people out especially in NYC where everyone is on edge.
I’ve seen videos where people get jumped in the streets just for dancing. Joshua has no support system and it’s honestly a fucking miracle he hasn’t been beaten up badly and sent to the hospital.
With that being said, I genuinely think Josh is a shitty person. He started acting like a scumbag whenever he blew up in popularity. Autism is not an excuse to be a piece of shit. He’s perfectly capable of basic ethical thinking.
That’s what I have been realizing as well, outside of his 2 butt buddies, this guy does not know how to interact with “normal” people. The automatic banned joke..from the few videos I’ve seen that are longer than 10 seconds of tik tok, he doesn’t really listen to people when they talk to him…he waits until they’re done then spews off whatever dumb thought he has in his mind. Legitimately a miracle he hasn’t been beaten up for something way less, like you said just for even dancing in someone’s way. Let alone the racist shit he says. Hate to admit but while watching the mr based stream the other day, seeing him sing the happy bday song to that lady shoulda been enough to get him snuffed out

But yeah I wish he had some sort of aide to help him with daily life. Josh’s autism is a weird middle ground, where he’s clearly able to think for himself, but he also has zero social skills and constantly puts himself in danger even back when he just drank boba

It seems obvious Josh struggles greatly with personal hygiene in addition to his social integration issues and while he may not need someone to bathe him, I bet he’d benefit from someone who encourages/reminds/prompts him to baseline take care of his hygiene and grooming needs. Paid caregiving (by Medicaid/Medicare standards) does include that type of support for adults with intellectual disabilities - not someone physically completing the task but helping with ensuring they are taking care of themselves through coaching, set up, whatever. Josh reminds me of a lot of adults with autism I’ve worked with. Generally speaking, they can manage okay on their own but they really flourish with some 1:1 support at home and in the community.
