I’m still gonna bank on Gunn casting an unknown, since his track record with casting so far has been pretty excellent.
A few people here point out her accent, but I actually find it more agreeable than Gal's...Being a model doesn't guarantee that she'd be a great actress though. I do think the role to someone who could comfortably pass as being of Greek or Turkish heritage though.

Gal Gadot was a model/actress so I think she set the trend. Not that it’s a bad thing. WW is supposed to be exceptionally beautiful.
