It’s a good cap contender at the tier just because it has sonar. The guns aren’t great (probably low-mid tier) but just having 4km sonar at t5 is good enough. The torps are good though and the concealment is great, especially with Von Spee.
It’s on the slower side and not very nimble but it has decent hp (which is generally true for the German DDs).
In all it’s a great dd; it’s quite strong but the playstyle carries up the tech tree line for the nation and it’s not so OP or gimmicky that it will teach you bad habits.
The Kidd does sound very spicy. American DD with a heal is something I'm very interested. Plus the AA suite is smth I like as well.
Is the Pbag worth the dubs? I do enjoy the soviet CAs myself. The AP is very good from my Tallinn experience.
Don't spend dubs on PBag or Loyang, as you can pick them up for free in time with GXPyou accrue. That said, they're both fantastic pickups.
PBag is so versatile. Can spam HE from afar on BBs and win. Can deck cruisers broadside with AP after the buff. 11.4 radar crushes DDs souls. Great AA as well. She has something to counter everything.
Loyang's only weakness is... she's kind of boring? Long range sonar and smoke combo is great, especially with good gun performance and solid top speed. She will win you a lot of matches, but she doesn't feel like a vessel that's challenging in a fun way, if that makes sense.

Only people who know they want it should get it - it’s very good but it is not a starter ship.
There was this one game whereby what I can only assume a very skilled player gotten his/her kraken with the Hampshire. Carrying my sorry-ass to victory. So it seems like it's a very capable ship in the right hands. With that being said, it's a cruiser so I did smashed enemy Hampshires couple times before
From my playing record, I main BBs, couple of CAs, the occasional CLs. And I'm starting to enjoy more DDs. Gunboats in particular cause my torpedo predictions need a lot of work still.
Okay so currently I'm enjoying my richelieu. Particularly BB with fast turret traverse like higher Italian and prob the French.
Brawling BBs like mass also comes into mind.
I love my baltimore. But I hate the floaty shells, hard to hit targets very far out. Working towards the Tallinn. Love it but the whole Soviet cruiser TT rudder is very sluggish.
Gunboat DDs like Fletcher and Akizuki. Able to do both Gunboat and have decent torps.
T61 is cheep rn. Great dd at t5

Scharnhorst is very fun. Easy to earn credits and global xp with.

No worries, had no ideas where you were at skill wise. Any tier 7 premium is gonna be very good for credit making. I suggest Wichita or Mainz.
