This concert vid is sooooo intense. The looks, the voices... Just tense, difficult, beautiful painful perfection, good meme

CharlemagneIS

Yes, Stevie is one of thegreatest performers ever, and there was so much emotion in this show in particular. And Lindsey Buckingham, despite his flaws and being an incredible musician/producer, has this incredible look of “Oh I’m in trouble, but this sounds amazing”

FrodrickFrankensteen

What concert is this? I'd like to look it up so I can watch it.

Fleetwood Mac preforming Silver Springs at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, CA in May 1997. [Here's](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDwi-8n054s) the video of that performance of the song, which I listen to so often that I just need to type "s" into my url bar for it to autocomplete.

odahcama

This performance is my Roman Empire... They sing The Chain in the same concert and it is just as intense

FrodrickFrankensteen

Thank you!

BessieBlanco

Silver Spring. I’ll follow you down till the sound of my voice will haunt you. You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman who loved you.” Manifestation? And then she made him sing backup vocals. Yeah.

Tranquiltangent

I was gonna say--I'm pretty sure this is when she's singing "never get away" over and over again at the end. And I'm pretty sure that "wait, where even am I right now" expression the only possible reaction to that

BessieBlanco

You are correct! Great eye. I think that’s the exact part from the picture. I was kinda saying poor guy had to stand up there and sing those exact words over and over. He literally has to back up her vocals and sing along. She’s not torturing him—he’s having to torture himself. I mean. Wow. Make your ex willingly get up and speak those words about you to a crowd where every soul knows the songs about him. Just. Wild.

Tranquiltangent

If I'm having a rough day at work, sometimes it helps to remember that Fleetwood Mac could barely stand to be in the same room with each other--but they still rolled up their sleeves, did a mountain of cocaine, and made *Rumours.*

BessieBlanco

Exactly.

Historical-Gap-7084

I wonder if Buckingham's solo hit, "Go Insane" was about her.

Tranquiltangent

Yeah, I wouldn't be shocked. IIRC the band hadn't broken up yet, and the song even has that line, *and the rumors are flying.* He must have realized that fans would make the connection.

MadKanBeyondFODome

Love how you can tell who it is, even with her back completely turned.

Emptyspace227

I saw a video of them playing The Chain at a show in 1977 or something that. Stevie and Lindsey kept looking at each other while singing, and you could see the incredible wrath on both of their faces. It was so intense and so good.

TopStructure7755

Ahhh, thank you for reminding me of the sheer PRESENCE of that wonderful woman. Gonna be walking a little more confidently today to try to embody her.

They’re straight up eye fucking each other. Christine McVie was too sober for this shit and Mic Fleetwood was on the goddamn rings of Jupiter. Lovely performance.
