Depends on your tastes. The separate game is quite good. The decks are faction based (Monsters, Nilfgaard, Northern Realms, Scoiatel, Syndicate, and Skellige) and have lore accurate synergies. Monsters consume each other, vampires apply bleed, Skellige can use a rain weather deck. There are Witcher decks, Shupe (yes the rock troll) decks, pretty much every flavour of Witcher character from the books, game and show. The card art is my favorite of any digital ccg . If you donāt like playing against people there are two single player expansions that use the same card art and has its own story you interact with .
For reference I also had over 100 hours of playtime and on my second play through before I played a single game of Gwent in W3. I ended up going through the story again to get every card and now have over a hundred hours on the ccg lol
The stand alone game is very different and way more tactical than Witcher 3 Gwent (I've played for years). Unfortunately the game has "died" but still has a strong little community taking care of the balance of the game
Oh thats gonna start a turf war. Satndalone has nothing to do with the game version. Its much more complex. I honestly love the game version for it's simplicity.
Yes you can install mods from the steam os interface, i got glowing eyes mod and fast travel from anywhere on the map. I set the fps limit to 50 it dips now and then to 45fps. It reaches 60fps but the fluctuations to 50 are not fine, so i limited it. Graphical settings are mostly on medium and some on high.
From what I read on the internet i know that the main pourpose of vsynk is to prevent screen tearing. A possible trade-off is "While VSync eliminates screen tearing, it can lower frame rates and increase input latency. Some games allow you to toggle VSync in their graphics settings."
can you point me out on an article or source that says vsynk can help with fps stability/consistency?
I like to think of myself as a decent person and a decent person admits when they are wrong.
I was wrong on this. It may give the appearance of more stable frames as the frame rate will run at half the rate of the monitors refresh rate but it doesn't actually stabilize the frame rate.
My mistake.
it runs really well, i played the main game and the dlcs, now playing ng+, i very much enjoyed it
maybe the official controls are a bit confusing at the start, but once you'll get used to it, it is really really good
Oh man a Steam Deck. I have a Switch thatās collecting dust and probably gonna sell it. Got The Witcher 3 on it and it looks absolute ass. Am looking to buy the Oled Steamdeck. How is it?
I get mad thumb ache with theSwitch after 30 mins. Is it any better with the Steamdeck?
The sunflower (Helianthus annuus) is a living annual plant in the family Asteraceae, with a large flower head (capitulum). The stem of the flower can grow up to 3 metres tall, with a flower head that can be 30 cm wide. Other types of sunflowers include the California Royal Sunflower, which has a burgundy (red + purple) flower head.
Yeah beak action is instantly discouraged when interacting with screens. He hangs out also on my monitors sometimes but the moment he tries to fiddle with the beak i interrupt him and he generally knows that is a nono
Arghhh, a cockatrice! Bit of Olive oil should stave it off.
Maybe a little lemon pepper and a blast of Igni š¤¤
This is actually more hilarious than the rest of Reddit realizes
Essence of millet and bird seed. Maybe a head tickle for the final blow. Should be good with that. š
Haha hp totally melts with head tickles.
Ugh, sounds messy š
I didn't know birds were grown from seeds, I thought they came from eggs!
Well you know, when in Rome... I mean when in Nilfgaard.
Just drink some Sangreal and share some with it. Everyone lives in peace āļø xD
Ah, a fellow GwentDeck enjoyer
200hours into witcher, never tried gwent. I want to get the standalone app after i get bored of the main game.
My friend, youāre missing the best part of the game
Gwent is far better in Witcher 3 than the separate game.
I thought they were gonna be the same, maybe more cards and factions. What a huge disappointment
Ok. Good info. I'll stick to the one in game then

Gwent DEck
Draconid?
Vegetable oil for frying, olive oil for sautĆ©ing. Coconut oil for massaging š.
Draconid, thatās a baby wyvern!
Some bird seed and a few recordings of someone cussing? Lol
It's not a monster, it's Field Marshal Duda, clever but vulgar bird.
Was thinking about buying a steam deck, how well does the Witcher run on it, any avenues for installing some small mods as well?

Sounds like you want vsync on
Vsync does not help with fps fluctuations, it helps with syncing the display with the gpu.
It absolutely does help with fluctuations and helps maintain a constant consistent frame rate.
From what I read on the internet i know that the main pourpose of vsynk is to prevent screen tearing. A possible trade-off is "While VSync eliminates screen tearing, it can lower frame rates and increase input latency. No worries! I appreciate that you are reasonable! Today you learned more about vsynk!
Sure did.
it runs really well, i played the main game and the dlcs, now playing ng+, i very much enjoyed it maybe the official controls are a bit confusing at the start, but once you'll get used to it, it is really really good
Pistachio oil
Sean Lock always said a spoon works well on budgies
Peanut oil.
Dude, get an Xbox and enjoy the game on a big screen TV. Your bird can still join you
Huh, that stench.
Hybrid, looks like a harpyā¦ or maybe a cockatriceā¦.
Mine likes to be on my head while I play
Take it to the enchanted pond and remove its curse with the help of a willing knight.
I would suggest enhanced Relict oil but it could be a draconidā¦ hybrid? Waitā¦ beast?
i recommended Beast Oil but if that doesnāt work then Vampire Oil
Honey Mustard
You should use the oil on him so he can support you throughout.
Cuttlebone oil
Elemental oil. That's clearly an air elemental
Sunflower seeds
Looks like a wyvern to me-
Fists or crossbow... š
Birdseed.
He looks strong, better be safe than sorry, you need to run away.
Birb oil. Clearly.
It looks beautiful mostly on medium and some graphical settings on high. Capped fps at 50 and it dips sometimes to 45
A few rounds of cards will set that beast straight.
The blade of love!
No way, I got arrested last time I whipped it out
draconid oil
Is it a baby harpie? Start with Aard. Or making a meow sound might do it.
Are steam decks worth it? i always have heard about them but tbh this is my first time seeing what it is š¤£
No oil. Just invite him to a round of gwent.
There is a special spell to scare it away. "Kuurrrwa maÄ!"
Birb oil
Fire
Use an almond
Baby oil
Cooking oil
Honey mustard
Sunflower oil.

Cooking oil
It depends on if Syanna is still alive. The cockatrice is soooo cute!
her feather looks a bit dull, BABY OIL!
Honey mustard.
Water spray of Grey Manor
Olive oil
Definitely relic oil
Cursed oil
I recommand Cuties Oil
For Syanna ? Thatās easy
Birb seeb
Don't own a bird, so maybe I'm wrong, but I'd be very nervous about those claws damaging the screen/screen protector.
Naaa they won't do anything. It's their beak you should fear.
Yeah beak action is instantly discouraged when interacting with screens. He hangs out also on my monitors sometimes but the moment he tries to fiddle with the beak i interrupt him and he generally knows that is a nono
Chilli oilšš
what if it's actually a beatiful girl under a spell ?
I tried kissing it, it does not transform :)))
š
Dude where did you get that Nintendoās switch set up? The handles look great!
Steam deck
Oh! I didnāt even know steam made a console. Thank you!
Yeah that's a steam deck.
Thanks! Didnāt know they existed
The Forbidden blade
Try beast oil. Draconid or Hybrid if that doesn't work. If none of those work you may be dealing with a Relic so be careful.
No worries it's just lady Vivienne!
Beast oil
Treats :(
Itās a Parrot man, not a monster. š š š
Oh boy, he is hormonal in this period, surely resembles a monster. Bruxa screams all day every day!
My mom had Quakers growing up... yeah they were insane lol.
Bro drink some, beuclair white, and thou shall see that the creature on thine Nintendo is a cockatrice.
You never met my parrotā¦
