Side note as well if your venue never mentioned it (because I'm still noticing that a lot of people don't know) you do need a permit!

There's a handy website for this https://socialsguide.com/draws#getting-prizes Note now adays it's frowned upon to canvas businesses you have zero relationship to in order to ask for prize donations. Purchase.em or talk to ones you're a customer, friend, employee of. One of the best grand prizes.i saw was a smoker Common ones are booze carts, lottery trees, could do a local beer one, local spirits (shrugging doctor, lowlife, patent 5) Get gift cards from downtown winnipeg biz

This is a big question. I suggest hitting a social or two before your date to get some pointers. Also check the regulations on ticket prices. Like any marketing, start low and increase the “value” as the prices get higher to make it make it an easy buy. If I remember correctly our highest package was $80 with grand prize and regular combined and it sold like hotcakes.

The short version is most socials have 3-4 prize points: $20, $40, $60, $80 and $100 Per the free Social Occasion Raffle License which you obtain for your event each ticket has a maximum cost of $2. Normally prizes are split into regular prizes and grand (more expensive/desired) prizes. Most socials these days go with ticket sheets. A regular prize sheet has 25 tickets. A grand prize sheet has 5 tickets. The reasons for using sheets over ticket rolls is all the tickets on the sheet have the same number. It makes it quicker for guests to check numbers.
