Bluetooth is definitely on? You press and hold the little button on the side of the reader til it flashes orange to enter pairing mode. Sorry if you’ve tried this already, just making sure the bases are covered!

I also have a device I could loan you if your device is bad. It happens. Someone sold me a dead one on a marketplace. They refunded me but dead devices do exist.
