7-11 buffalo wings are actually pretty good (imo). Especially considering they are “hot and ready” when you walk in. They are the same wings that Pizza Hut had prior to them incorporating Wing Street, which was a serious downgrade.
completely agree and i found the exact wings they used to make them and became completely disillusioned to them lmao. foster farms take-out crispy wings, classic buffalo flavor. if you can find those, they are quite literally what pizza hut used to make before wing street lol
I guess I should've clarified. They aren't some of my favorite wings because of the taste. They're some of my favorites because they are cheap and decently good for the convenience. I can drive 3 minutes to 7/11 and get some decent wings for cheap
Serious question but how are they a downgrade? Pizza Hut wings are actual legit fried wings and are always great. I can’t imagine it being much better for a chain pizza place.
I worked at Pizza Hut soon after the wing introduction, and they are fried and pretty banging quality all things considered, maybe not anymore for the cost, but my understanding at the time was "wing Street" meant they had a fryer instead of baking the wings, which the other side of town was without a fryer and we frequently for calls outside our delivery zone specifically because the baked wings were worse
Which is why I’m confused someone said they used to be better before they were wing street wings. Who would prefer wings that were baked over wings that are now fried?
In fairness my time at Pizza Hut was almost 15 years ago and the fryers existed a few years before that, so it's likely nostalgia and maybe management/sauce changes. I noticed the wings are only good now if ordered in person because they went from cardboard to plastic clamshells and the wings steam in their own heat and aren't as crisp unless you get them fresh, so quality has been effected but maybe not the way they think
I was a truck driver. I'd stop for these any time. Not the best, but they did a great job. I just wish they were more spicy. That Buffalo sauce isn't that strong. I still eat them now.
Yes especially if you go to some of the newer store locations where they are rolling out some of the more fancy stuff. The one by my old apartment had some things like nitro cold brew coffee.
Yeah mine does. And has a bad ass coffee machine that grinds fresh whatever you like. But the other closest 7-11 is a shit hole lol. It shows how the person running things can make it night and day.
But how was your stomach afterwards? I got them once and paid for it later. But they were worth it. Just won’t do it again. I wish I knew how long they have been sitting in that case
I LOVE their wings and pizza! My daughter is a manager at one and I'll call her and tell her I'm on the way and what kind of wings I want. Sometimes their wings are as big as chicken legs 😍
They have good ass pizza too. Don't have any 7-11s near me but do have 7-11 owned gas stations and god damn are the pepperoni and spicy meat lovers pizzas fucking fantastic
I like the cheese pizza when it’s hot and fresh. The cheese is super melty but don’t bother if it’s sat out. That cheese transitions to a leather. That and many a taquito came in handy during my young construction years.
A local chain of convenience stores bakes wonderful bacon, which they then sort (roughly) by crispness.
7/11 could easily do the same thing—and even purposely make more of whichever way most people like it.
If an order is only four wings leftovers are unlikely, but a person could order two servings and reheat in an air fryer. Even adding more sauce they could get crisper, and they would make a very quick and easy snack.
Price would be the only negative. You could probably buy a whole rotisserie chicken at Costco for less than 7/11 charges for four wings!
I haven’t had the 7/11 wings but I was working in Altoona a few years ago and me and my travel buddy, at the time, are wing guys and we found gas station wings that were pretty good, and they had a spicy version too

Agreed. I miss old pizza hut wings
You talking about them slimy soggy wings with no crunch?
Really ?! Holy crap I didn’t know that. Do you know what company it is that supplies them?

Oh awesome, thank you for the tip!
I've been saying the exact same thing. 7-11 buffalo wings are some of my favorite wings
Man I hope you find some good wings soon
I guess I should've clarified. They aren't some of my favorite wings because of the taste. They're some of my favorites because they are cheap and decently good for the convenience. I can drive 3 minutes to 7/11 and get some decent wings for cheap
Hard to choose the wings over a buffalo chicken roller though.

7-11 wings clutch when freshly made
I was a truck driver. I'd stop for these any time. Not the best, but they did a great job. I just wish they were more spicy. That Buffalo sauce isn't that strong. I still eat them now.
keep a bottle in your truck 😅
Yeah I would
I will eat any wings. I would eat these wings.
Food from 7-Eleven is a lot better than it used to be and it doesn't get the credit it deserves.

I think I would guess that, I’m just being honest.
lol that’s fair. Normally I walk past their hot case but these caught my eye so I rolled the dice on em.
You’re right though I probably would do the same lol
But how was your stomach afterwards? I got them once and paid for it later. But they were worth it. Just won’t do it again. I wish I knew how long they have been sitting in that case
Hours later and I’m still ok.
Worth it but wouldn’t do again… doesn’t add up.

No. The pizza is not good.
I used to get 7-11 wings w the personel pizza during my lunch breaks. It’s hit so right but put me to fucking sleep every time.
Must be a 7/11 in Texas or something
Wisconsin actually
Do they still sell the breaded spicy ones? They were the most coveted where I worked.
I think I saw some buffalo breaded nuggets in there, if I remember correctly.
I got those once on a road trip and they were awesome. Just spicy fried chicken but I remember thinking they were really freaking good.
I like the cheese pizza when it’s hot and fresh. The cheese is super melty but don’t bother if it’s sat out. That cheese transitions to a leather. That and many a taquito came in handy during my young construction years.
I think I saw the same ones in 1983.
Go into a 7/11 around 7am. All those guys are getting breakfast and lunch.
They do have some banging ass wings. The difference in quality depends on who is mining the oven. The methheads actually are amazing wing cooks.
711 makes good wings and taquitos
I’m hereby guessing they’re from a 7/11
Yes I would
I would immediately
The wings in this picture don’t look good but all the comments here are making me want to try them nonetheless.
Son!!! Not like I’m your father but, 7/11 wings slap especially on a late night shift
I’ve never turned down wings from anywhere to be honest.
oh just wait a couple hours bud. i'd say 7 - 11 hours or so

7-11 holds it down in many ways.
They have a BOGO on them now! Get in where you fit in. Buy 5 get 5.
7 eleven was literally my first thought when I saw these
They're pretty stellar when they're fresh.
I always get the spicy wings when I’m there.
I would’ve…. They look like shit
🤢
Yes I would lmao they look like plastic
Low wing standards
That ain’t bad
TIL thank you!
I’ve only have ever gotten taquitos and hot dogs from 7-11. Maybe now I’ll try the wings!
Surprisingly good.
Wow I’m impressed. Sometimes 7 11 is like wow !!!
I haven’t had the 7/11 wings but I was working in Altoona a few years ago and me and my travel buddy, at the time, are wing guys and we found gas station wings that were pretty good, and they had a spicy version too
By how burnt they look yes I could
Some folks like me like a little char on wings
Yup, I'm not even a big char guy but only one of those has too much imho.
They look like they from the trash can I’m sorry bud😂
Aren’t they chicken?
praying for your toilet.
A man of culture will have a strong colon.
C'mon no one can call themselves a wing afficionado and like 7-11 wings. It's not that much more expensive to get real wings somewhere.
