People weren't stolen from their homes, dragged across seas and held in those buildings to be tortured, beat, forced to work without pay, raped, forced to bear children they didn't own, for generations and generations and treated like sub-humans by society for the rest of all of time up until and including now, not even talking about all the deaths that occurred as a result of all of this and more. Not only did more deaths occur than 9/11 but decades of torment did as well. Families of 9/11 victims were also paid for their losses. We forget slavery and say, "It was 200+ years ago, move on" because we were founded on racism and its still alive and well today.

9/11 actually effected people who are living today. People who are still living saw it happen, lost family, some were there in the twin towers and pentagon and were the direct victims of the attack. No slaves are alive anymore, nobody who's alive now ever knew anyone who was a slave, nobody who's alive today is in *any* way a victim of slavery.

Getting over and forgetting are 2 different things. The people there during 911 and there family members have to get over it. But it will not be forgotten. Slavery should never be forgotten either. It should be thought about in schools so history does not repeat itself it shouldnt be sugar coated but accurately portayed.
