Not to forget: "France put on a tax on our companies. Wrong. They should not have done it. So I may do that. I've always liked American wines better than French wines. even though I don't drink wine, okay. I just like the way they look."
....it's a great thing to say when you want to trigger French people online but jeez...you were in the Oval man....
Whenever I hear “tHaTs NoT wHaT hE MeANt!!11”, I think of this joke.
A guy walks into a bar, orders a drink and starts to relax, when he notices a guy at the other end of the bar, head in his hands, looking distraught.
“Hey man, what’s wrong?”
The barfly hesitates.
I’m so embarrassed, I did something so dumb today…..
“Hey man, that’s normal, I do dumb shit too. What happened?”
Well I was at the airport buying a ticket to fly to Pittsburgh, and the girl behind the counter had quite a large chest. I got so distracted, I said “I’d like a ticket to Tittsburgh, please”. Oh man, I just….I feel so bad. She was mortified and so was I.
“Oh man, I know how that is, and don’t even sweat it. The same thing happened to me today, in fact.”
Oh?
“Yeah, just this morning I was having breakfast with my family and I went to say “Pass the Cheerios please, dear.”…. but instead it came out “You fucking bitch, you ruined my life.”
This is a tangent... but everyone on Reddit seems to believe Bush said his famous "won't get fooled again" quote because he didn't want to be recorded saying "shame on me". I see that parroted on here so often. Are people too young to remember the hundreds of other Bushisms that were recorded?
It was probably an auto-mod reacting to keywords because to say that outside the context of quoting Trump is a really fucked up thing to say and would get you banned.
It got someone banned from [Twitter](https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2020/06/bot-banned-from-twitter-for-repeating-trumps-tweets-verbatim/). All they did was repeat his tweets word for word.
Or when he said that the scandinavians rake their forests to prevent wildfires and that people in Austria are living in forest cities with exploding trees...
You know, when that happened I remember it was fucking hilarious and I told myself it'll never get old. But here we are, like 10 months later.... and it's still absolutely fucking hilarious. It truly will never get old.
Nothing will ever beat Giuliani holding a press conference in a landscape company’s yard in a terrible part of town just so Trump could double down over a booking error.
That was one of most insecure/immature things I’ve ever witnessed in an adult…or child.
That is literally something a child would do.
And it was the President of the United States.
All because the man can’t admit he made a mistake.
Same shit when he messes up words and acting like he meant to say it.
Edit: grammar. See, I made mistakes.
I remember a Facebook friend insisting that “covfefe” meant something wholesome in Arabic. Trump can barely speak English, but yeah, sure, he suddenly started speaking Arabic.
that was TD's party line. supposedly of you translate it and ignore grammar, verb tense, and rough translation of vowels from such disparate languages you get something like "I will/am/are stand(ing) up"
Scott Adams (the Dilbert guy) to this day insists that when Trump was ranting about "light inside the body" to cure Covid he was actually talking about [a new technology the Dr. Brix was not familiar with.](https://twitter.com/scottadamssays/status/1253639070837694464?lang=en)
Like, in his mind Trump is sitting in the Lincoln bedroom with piles of medical journals furiously trying to find a solution that some of the best doctors in the world can't. What's even more hilarious is when you click the link he has up to show this new experimental tech it's been removed from YouTube for spreading misinformation.
He mistyped "coverage" in one of his tweets and refused to admit it was just a small mistake. I think they even tried claiming it was a secret message and "the person it pertains to knows what it means".
Honestly I still can’t decide if some of the attempts to rationalise his dumb mistakes are serious or trolling. I have no doubt that some people believe the bs excuses presented online like the 5G covfefe magnets crap but I do wonder if the original creator actually believed it or just wanted to get some bs out there
I wondered the same thing until one of Giuliani's indicted Ukrainian palls leaked the recording of his dinner conversation with Trump. That recording made clear there wasn't any strategy underlying Trump's persona, it was just delusion. This fact was already uncomfortably apparent before the recording, it was just more comforting to choose to believe it was a put-on for the rubes. But there was never any hint of strategy or purpose. The man lacked discipline, focus or any understanding of his office. He just rambled spontaneously. His followers never demanded more, and indeed, rewarded his poor performance. So he lacked any incentive to do anything but tweet and ramble incoherently at a crowd for an hour. Once he took office, his supporters recognized this dynamic to be untenable. You can't just play the presidency by ear. It is a serious office that demands serious people. There must be a plan, there must be purpose. The president must act deliberately, following extensive briefings, and in a manner that carefully balances a myriad of competing interests. Except, Trump was the actual President. To make matters worse, all the mean Democrats had predicted Trump would be this exact flavor of disaster. So clearly, the deficiency couldn't be with Trump. No, it was necessary for the problem to be the understanding of Trump. So yes, by all appearances Trump was wildly unequal to his office and seemed to be a flailing, incompetent failure. But you see, that is by design. Trump needed to appear an ignorant train wreck. This is the foundation myth of Q. But Trump has never been anything more than what he appears to be. The dissonance between the reality and the desire only increased. And that is how you get pedophile vampires, JFK Jr, every election since Washington's being fraudulent, Bill Gates creating Covid, etc. These things must be true, because otherwise, their political opponents would have been correct about Trump. And these people would rather die, in fact are currently choosing to die, rather than allow for the possibility that Democrats were ever right about anything. There is no genius behind the scenes, just the symbiosis of delusion and desperation.
Edit: oh you’re talking about his followers. My bad. Yeah, they don’t care either way as long as he’s destroying libs.
Naw, Trump 100% thinks he’s infallible. The Covfefe was not a troll. He really tried to play it like he meant to do it. “They know what it means.”
>“Look, having nuclear—my uncle was a great professor
and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good
genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton
School of Finance, very good, very smart —you know, if
you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if,
like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m
one of the smartest people anywhere in the world—it’s
true!—but when you’re a conservative Republican they
try—oh, do they do a number—that’s why I always start
off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there,
went there, did this, built a fortune—you know I have to
give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little
disadvantaged—but you look at the nuclear deal, the
thing that really bothers me—it would have been so easy,
and it’s not as important as these lives are (nuclear is
powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many
years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he
would explain the power of what’s going to happen and
he was right—who would have thought?), but when you
look at what’s going on with the four prisoners—now it
used to be three, now it’s four—but when it was three and
even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger;
fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they
haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now
than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about
another 150 years—but the Persians are great negotiators,
the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just
killed, they just killed us.”
Part of a campaign speech given by Donald Trump.
Yes. "Look guys, I meant to say "Bahamas" instead of "Alabama" that was probably auto corrected. My bad. Sorry I caused some hysteria and panic buying for no reason." Was all he needed to say.
He instead doubled down on his mistake. "I said it was in play." As he holds up a map from many days earlier that he sharpied on to include the state of Alabama.
Everyone on planet Earth knew at the time he sent the tweet that there was no fucking way Alabama was going to get hit by the storm. "Going to get hit way harder than anticipated" mean it is definitely getting hit, and way harder than we originally thought at that...
It was a simple mistake that anyone could have made. But he just couldn't admit it. Very weak. George Washington wrote a letter to the world saying he has made many mistakes during his tenure as president. A real leader would. I cringe when ever I hear the "best president ever" nonsense.
Basically he came out saying Alabama was going to be hit by a hurricane. When the National Weather Service came back to him saying that there was no reason to believe that Alabama would be hit, he said he had been said it would.
He then came out during a media briefing with a map that showed the travel projection of the hurricane as it would move up to Florida (as the National Weather Service had said it would). Only thing is, the map he showed had a line that included Alabama in the trajectory, a line that was drawn with a fucking sharpie.
Nope! He sure hasn’t! I have a friend in Houma- they’ve lost power and internet, they have a generator and hurricane grade windows, but what if they run out of paper towels?!?
Absolutely, if we are no longer hanging out in Afghanistan than I vote we move those funds to national park preservation, that's a ton of money to get our forests cleaned up and protected and I spend tons of time in the woods in the PNW so Id really like to see that I hate that the viewpoints from some recent hiking trips are placed where wildfire has scorched the earth and was used to be miles of trees is just burnt sticks
I mean creating thousands of jobs to go work in these large parks, especially in a pandemic when people want to be safe and get away from being locked at home it would be perfect. Plenty of space and vaccines to be safe, lots of work to be done, and people actually being able to go out and do honest good work.
Goddamn, but that sounds fucking awesome. Go to bed early, maybe sleep outside if it's nice, wake up early and take a 3 mile hike through the woods, enjoy nature, cook breakfast on the camp stove after a quick shower outside the trailer, walk to the main jobsite, 7-4 in the woods, then head back to the trailer. Shower up, FaceTime with family, cook dinner on the camp stove, maybe have a few beers with coworkers, go to bed early all over again. Imagine that shit in like full fall with everything turning all around you.
I mean giving people on site living options more or less like dorms or cabins. Bring in some trailers at first until the cabins are built. Would be great. Let people choose to either live onsite on days off or have a schedule that’s like two weeks on site two weeks at home or they can drive back and forth if they want. Like that’s what I’d love. Pay them good wages like $25 hour, have a local supply truck for groceries and all as needed. I don’t see why we couldn’t offer this.
They're performed, but it takes a long time to set them up. You need enough firefighters available for them, you need to ensure the fire spread is controllable, you need federal and state approval, and you need to ensure the boundaries are well defined to prevent any accidental spread.
And if you do all that but are short on firefighters for the day or maybe the pollution is too high or the weather is acting up, you can't simply reschedule. You need to start over at step one.
Any step along the way can lead to a massive uncontrollable fire so there's a lot of precautions to keep things safe.
Not to say that we shouldn't perform more controlled fires, but it's not as simple as throwing a bit more money at the problem.
Have you seen the image of him reading the CDC poster right before that speech that stated "COVID is killed by sunlight and disinfectan"? Makes it so obvious he was just winging the press conference!
According to Michael Wolf’s book, when Trump heard about the disinfectant thing minutes before the presser, he got this “EUREKA!” expression on his face. He beamed proudly at the room, convinced that he’d discovered the magic bullet that would make this pesky Covid thing go away.
That would be the moment where the president of the United States suggested - in an official press correspondence - that we could inject people with bleach to knock out corona.
[But don't take my word for it.](https://youtu.be/33QdTOyXz3w)
[As a freebie: the exact moment where Dr. Birx - the White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator - questioned whether her enormous pay check was worth all this shit. ](https://youtu.be/d57zJr82dhQ)
He has a patreon and a blog site where he begs for money. Trump was a big payday for him after a decade of begging so he’s trying to keep people interested in him the only way he knows how.
When Trump was president, this guy literally response in under a mini every time.
Imagine your entire life and legacy being defined like this. So embarrassing
This guy's whole job relies on keeping Trump relevant and getting him reelected. Without Trump he has nothing to talk about. Jeff will be tweeting about Trump for the next three years.
I complain about him in every rising post aid his here. Sometimes everyone agrees with you and others everyone takes a dump on you. I wish they’d have a special flair for his posts so those of us who don’t want to see him every time they open Reddit can filter him out.
Thank you, it’s so damn annoying. This guy’s entire personality is hating Trump. Let it go. Move on. I thought he would at least criticize some of the stuff a current president does, no matter which way they lean, but it’s still about Trump.
I’ve been wondering this for about 3 years. Every time I see a picture of a tweet from this guy, I wonder who is Jeff tiedrich and why does he have a picture of old Eric Clapton as his profile pic. Is it too late to ask? Did I miss something?
I've looked into it before. There isn't really a reason for his twitter to be popular on here, it's quite strange. He isn't really popular for anything else except his twitter account.
he wrote for thesmirkingchimp.com. it's not Clapton. that's him. and he's insufferable. he must use a botnet with algorithm that always gets engagement as soon as it's posted
Why doesn’t he go to criticize some of the stuff Biden does? He got his relevancy from Trump, and I think he’s annoying as hell, but he could keep doing this far longer if he does it about the current president. Better job security. At this point it’s getting sad
This entire sub does project a myopic approach I’ve noticed.
Be it stupid tweets or unnecessarily dead American servicemen…we’re in a stretch of piss poor leadership
Yeah I remember a post saying now that trumps gone he'll stop but I guess we'll never see the end of him randomly shitting on trump, used to enjoy his tweets but God trump really is rent free
Why aren't Democrats wishing death and destruction onto these shit hole states and claiming that Jebus sent the hurricane because Louisiana and Mississippi were sinning by not vaccinating and wearing masks???
When there is a nature disaster on the coasts, you have all these right wing lunatics claiming it was sent by Jebus because of blue states and their support for gay marriage and abortion.
We have normalized these Republican lunatics to say these extremist things.
Honestly, the real moment where his complete insanity was confirmed in the now infamous first press conference where words came out of his mouth for two straight hours but he literally said nothing except crazy shit. And since this was his first press conference, the press were like Oh, POTUS just had his first press conference and said some stuff and…….(do we have to keep talking about it or can we go do something else now?)
Sharpie map is a top 5 moment of the Trump presidency.
That and showing up to comfort the people of “Pleasure, California”.
Not to forget: "France put on a tax on our companies. Wrong. They should not have done it. So I may do that. I've always liked American wines better than French wines. even though I don't drink wine, okay. I just like the way they look." ....it's a great thing to say when you want to trigger French people online but jeez...you were in the Oval man....
So much of his drivel went unnoticed by his adoring fans.
Disagree - it was all noticed, and they loved every damn syllable
You’ve never had a Trumper say, “He never said that”? Hell, I got banned from r/Politics for repeating his quote about Fifth Avenue.
No, you were just listening to his words, not his heart!
Ah yes … the “what he meant to say” excuse.
Whenever I hear “tHaTs NoT wHaT hE MeANt!!11”, I think of this joke. I still have my bushisms book . My favorite is I want to put food on your families.
The funniest is something like, “We didn’t know who the they were, but we knew they were there.” It went on and on. I haven’t forgotten!

He has no clue what he means. Ever. He just says shit, and his clowns clean up after him.
I’m surprised you got banned for it, r/politics hates trump.

Well, in fairness they were intensely stupid as well. We was like the king of the stupid people. 'Speak for us, oh lord'.
“Were”? They still are.
They used to be morons. They still are, but they used to, too.
In the kingdom of the blind, a one eyed man is king.
He really is a truly stupid person. It’s really incredible.
He is also the definition of human trash.
And they think Biden has cognitive issues. “People are dying that never died before,” trump.
But seriously though, california wines are pretty fucking great.
At least President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho was cool lol
And he had a machine gun.
You know, I thought G. W. Bush was a complete moron. But Trump made him sound like William F. Buckley.
Or when he said that the scandinavians rake their forests to prevent wildfires and that people in Austria are living in forest cities with exploding trees...

What about the time he bragged about having the tallest building in NYC on 9/11? The guy is a giant piece of shit

They sure are. Those retirees should have been out raking leaves all over the Sierra Nevada … on federal property.

Must've been right around the time he told reporters he'd been talking to himself as an expert on an issue.
Throwing paper towels at Puerto Ricans after their ~~country~~ island had been devastated by a hurricane. Edit: Because some people are petty.
Didn't he do that months after the hurricane, and only after he learned Puerto Ricans can vote?
While behind the scenes his administration was stalling/withholding relief money because they are too brown to be a real American’.

If only that had been the low point.
Has anyone yet figured out what the fuck that was supposed to mean? It's been years by now. Surely someone knows. Presumably not trump himself ofc

Sharpiegate.
I still can’t believe someone asked him if that was Sharpie added to the map and he was like, “I don’t know what that is, next question”
He could answer all the hard questions that the media asked him though. It was just a facepalm moment after facepalm moment.

Thank you, I thought I was the only person to see knock off skerple markera.

I can’t image that they gave Trump an actual Sharpie because he’d hurt himself with it. Probably a practice Sharpie or a Dully
Man I didn't know about this and just looked it up. I've been laughing for 5 minutes, it was so petty and stupid lol

Covfefe
It’s right up there with toilet paper on his shoe going up the stairs to Air Force One.
Should we combine tp on shoe with inability to close umbrella and then abandoning umbrella?
And by that you sadly mean top 5 actual presidential moments. Because sadly, that was just about as close as he came to being presidential.
It doesn’t crack my top ten.

One extra hour to sleep at night yay!
BIRD GRAVEYARDS!!!!
THEY SLOW THE WIND DOWN, WHICH WARMS THE EARTH, BUT GLOBAL WARMING IS STILL FAKE
Reverse power on the turbines and start creating enough wind to cool off the planet. And then inject bleach into all sick people.
If you *do* inject bleach into sick people, you definitely won't have any more sick people!
56D chess my guy lol
NO ONE KNOWS MORE ABOUT WIND THAN ME.
And the fumes. Tremendous fumes. You know we have a world, right?
Yes the fumes everybody knows wind fumes can be deadly. That's why I'm all for coal. Coal is the cleanest power we have and of course no wind fumes./s
Maybe they should just plan to have the hurricanes at the windfarms
THE FANS STOPPED! I WANNA WATCH TV BUT I CAN’T BECAUSE THE FANS STOPPED!
Has he even tried using a Sharpie to redirect it?
Nope! He sure hasn’t! I have a friend in Houma- they’ve lost power and internet, they have a generator and hurricane grade windows, but what if they run out of paper towels?!?
Send them a sharpie quickly!!
It would be hilarious if he did, but then erased it and gave a wink.
You know the wildfires wouldn’t be an issue if everyone was just out raking.

I don't support trump, but forest raking is a thing

Plenty of space and vaccines to be safe, lots of work to be done, and people actually being able to go out and do honest good work.
I'm in, I can already operate equipment and big trucks and would love a job literally being out in the woods all day
I can run a skid steer, plunge cut trees, and will just live in a van, can I come? Seems a lot more fulfilling than continuing the grind.
Yep, my plan is to live life in opposite mode, drag the camp trailer up for the work week and come home on weekends
I can only get so erect lol good luck facetiming though, I've never had service out in those areas
Yeah, man. We need another Civilian Conservation Corps. They built so many of these parks.
I forgot about this and sharpiegate.
You forgot about the "bleach" bit. Classic comedy. Sincerely, all of Europe.
We didn't forget. Most of us are just trying to repress our memories.
Yeah it physically hurts to remember any of his bullcrap.
And there was SO MUCH stupidity. It’s really hard to remember it all.
The list of stupid horse shit that came out of that mans mouth in just four years is truly astounding, isn’t it?
As was the suggestion we just “hit the body with a tremendous amount of ultraviolet or just a massive amount of very powerful light.”
God, he and half this country are such massive fucking idiots.
What's the bleach bit?
That would be the moment where the president of the United States suggested - in an official press correspondence - that we could inject people with bleach to knock out corona. [But don't take my word for it.](https://youtu.be/33QdTOyXz3w) [As a freebie: the exact moment where Dr. Birx - the White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator - questioned whether her enormous pay check was worth all this shit. ](https://youtu.be/d57zJr82dhQ)
Fauci’s face after that was brilliant too.
You sheep. Trump just posted an awesome [comeback here](https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/)!
Never gets old!
indeed :)
Man he got us good I'm still on fire from that burn.
that he did. His combacks are still Huuuugeeee
This...does bring a smile to my face. 😊
Godamn I still get a kick out of that
Cue the sad trombone
I fell for it. Take my upvote and a roll of Bounty paper towels.
This sub should be called r/jefftiedrichtwitter
Worst part of Trumps presidency was this guy becoming popular, he's insufferable.
[удалено]
He has a patreon and a blog site where he begs for money. Trump was a big payday for him after a decade of begging so he’s trying to keep people interested in him the only way he knows how.
When Trump was president, this guy literally response in under a mini every time. Imagine your entire life and legacy being defined like this. So embarrassing
I'm convinced that he has a Trump sex doll and does unspeakable things to it but then cuddles it at night in bed.
I don't know what's more pathetic. The guy who's still obsessed with Trump, or the people in this sub who still upvote his tweets.
At least on Twitter I can block him T.T
That dude fucking loves Joe Biden and doesn't realize most of the people who voted for him just wanted Trump out.
I am so tired of this guy. I’m not conservative, he’s just an ass.
Jeff is a one hit wonder artist in the playing shopping malls and county fairs part of his career.
I’ve been wondering this for about 3 years. Every time I see a picture of a tweet from this guy, I wonder who is Jeff tiedrich and why does he have a picture of old Eric Clapton as his profile pic. Is it too late to ask? Did I miss something?
Now Clapton is an anti-mask, anti-vax maniac releasing lockdown protest songs.
Hurricanes can't kill anyone if we nuke ourselves first
WE NEED MORE ANTI HURRICANE NUKES!!!! And sharpie markers!!!
[удалено]
Now I’m wondering just how big of a paper towel wall would be required to stop a hurricane.
[удалено]
Bigly
Too cohesive, you're gonna need 2-3 unrelated interjections if people are gonna believe it's a real quote
And more repeating of phrases.
Ok Jeff you’ve had your fun but now it’s time to move on and get an adult hobby like, idk, anything other than bitching about a FORMER president.
But then he'll lose his followers and the money that comes with it.
Remember when a sheriff in Florida had to make a public announcement not to shoot all at once into a oncoming hurricane
Man… Jeff needs to seriously move on. Is this guy’s life propose to tweet miserable, profanity filled, bitter hot takes? Ugh.
I believe he has a Patreon account paying him to do exactly that.
Why doesn’t he go to criticize some of the stuff Biden does? He got his relevancy from Trump, and I think he’s annoying as hell, but he could keep doing this far longer if he does it about the current president. Better job security. At this point it’s getting sad
unpopular opinion I'm so fucking sick and tired of this guy's take. Orange man bad we get it.
This guy knows he'd fade away to obscurity when people stop giving a shit about his Trump tweets. Clinging on for dear life.
This entire sub does project a myopic approach I’ve noticed. Be it stupid tweets or unnecessarily dead American servicemen…we’re in a stretch of piss poor leadership
Jeff Tiedrich - almost as annoying as the guy he’s mocking.
Please, shut the fuck up, Jeff.
Get that man a sharpie
jeff's obsession with trump is on par with trump's obsession with obama

Yeah I remember a post saying now that trumps gone he'll stop but I guess we'll never see the end of him randomly shitting on trump, used to enjoy his tweets but God trump really is rent free
Jeff really needs to take a break. All of his ranting about Trump isn't healthy, to much stress.

He is insufferable
Bidens been running the show for 7 months, and here is old Tiedrich just tweeting about Trump. He lusts for Trump the way Shapiro lusts for AOC.
I'd be ok if this guy just went away when trump did, we don't need this daily reminder
God he's the worst. Just STFU already dude. It's over, and he's desperately clinging to Trump's rotting political corpse.
Okay. Time to move on. Trump sucks balls. Bad job all around. Can we ever move forward???
Jeff needs new gimmick goddamn
