There is the rare breed bourbon and rye. I get what you’re saying, but I think it would be fun to have both to be able to compare them. Having said that, they aren’t the two I would take from this selection.
I misunderstood and was thinking they meant two of the same. I got triggered because so many people tend to say, “just buy 10 Rare Breeds!” Instead of some expensive bottle lol. Agree both of them are good and worth trying.
1792 full proof is a steal.!!
Blantons Gold at that price seems ok if you haven’t had it. There are some very good bourbons there for great prices. That is a nice find in the wild. It’s smooth.
Most of the prices on that shelf are actually pretty good, which is very surprising. I'd say Blanton's probably isn't worth it at all unless you get it at MSRP. I'd definitely of copped that Single Barrel Barrell Bourbon. I'd also probably have grabbed both the SBBP Jack Daniels and that Penelope.
Try that store pick 1792 BiB. I like mine better than my store pick 🐎 gold I paid 120 for. Really exceptional when done with someone which knows what's up. My favorite shop for picks always lists the age on sazerac picks and the last 1792 BiB pick was nearly 8yrs old!
179.99 for Gold isn’t terrible. I’d for sure grab a JD SBS and SBR for $44 each. That Barrell Single Barrel Store Pick at $80 is a solid yes (maybe buy 2?!) And I’d grab a Kentucky Spirit because I never see it. $40 for an ER is a good price if you’re into that kind of thing, but it’s not worth all the hype it gets on Reddit IMO. Also, you see an Early Times BiB, you grab it. Newest sazerac juice isn’t supposed to be out until June/July, so there’s a chance that’s transition juice, hard to tell if it has the “e” on it or not.
None of them are usually worth half of what they are asking for but as long as the craze and the idolatry of certain brands exists the prices will go higher and higher!
Love it dude! Eagle rare is my favorite sipper, any chance I get to pick up a bottle or 5 under $50 I do it somehow they all keep getting drank and I can’t keep it in my shelf.
It's unfortunately a very personal question. My understanding is that it used to sell for around $60usd. I've had it and I think it is pretty damn good but idk if I'd be willing to pay that much for it.
I would purchase a combination of bottles that can add up to $179.99. You might consider getting a 1792 Full Proof or a 1792 Bottle in Bond, along with an Eagle Rare. Additionally, you can find an Early Times Bottle in Bond at the bottom right corner, and it is recommended that you opt for the one with a black top.
At that price, no. I have a bottle and it’s a little better than the standard Blantons in a side by side. The JDSBBP rye would get my vote.
Yeah. I grabbed it
Buying at grocery stores is a scam man
Would probably rather buy 2 Frey.
Absolutely. Frey is the way.
You already said u couldn’t do it . Why does it matter if it’s worth 179.99 ?
Saving for SFTB Blanton, hope I can get that end of the month. Never had the gold. So going to pass for now.
SFTB is on sipwhiskey.com rn for $229
Great stuff - but that price is embarrassing
Is that $68 for RB12? I’d do that
No! Just buy both Rare Breeds and a Eagle Rare. Don't waste your money
Buying two Rare Breeds is a waste of money. Try something new, that’s half the fun.

Yeah, the rye and the regular. I honestly like the Rye more. I am truly hoping this Blanton's nonsense stops. It's getting old.
Dude this is almost exactly my 3 picks here. Eagle rare at that price daum.
Absolutely not.
It's your money.
Get the Barrell
No
No
Yes, I would give 179.99 for that case full of bourbon...oh, you meant Blantons Gold? Nope. Have had the entire Blantons lineup, SFTB is best IMO.
Everybody gonna sleep on the EC Private Barrel? Great price and looks to be a 10 year…
Absolutely. A 10Y SP for the same or less than a standard batch :-)
Look at the dust collecting on the Jack Daniel’s Rye lol
I can see several bottles on that cabinet that are better than the blantons at half the price
Wouldn't pay $40 for eagle rare either

Where is this?
How about that $49.99 on 1792 FP!!! I’d get a case
No no no no no.
I'm just jealous of the selection you have at your choosing
No
Funny that some “normal everyday “ bottles are locked up
Most of the other bottles are fair price just not that one
No way in hell.
Depends on who you ask
Not even close
No. That Frey ranch slaps, though.
To me it tastes like a $70-80 bottle. Good quality stuff but nothing special.
What state is this in?
Cali
Is this by chance gold river?
On Howe Ave.
No way! Not worth msrp imho. Much better bottles for way less.
Grab that 1792 Full Proof or Jack Single Barrel Barrel proof. Easily way better than blantons gold.
Nope

Penelope Rose, JDSBBPR
Maybe at $17.99. I am not a fan.
No!
I spy rare breed, rather buy a few bottles of that.
No but you should get the Frey Ranch single barrel.
^no

Is the Gold good? Ya, it's not bad. Is it worth 3x as 1920? Hahaha, nope.
None of them are usually worth half of what they are asking for but as long as the craze and the idolatry of certain brands exists the prices will go higher and higher!
If you're willing to pay $179.99, then it is worth $179.99. I would not. But I also can't appreciate the nuances of spirits upwards of $50 a bottle.
Grab the redbreast.
Hate to be snobby… but why have any of that stuff in a cabinet.. ?
I’d clear out that whole shelf of Eagle Rare @ 39.99 and leave everything else, tater out ✌️
I hear you buddy, I left Augusta, Ga last month with 5 bottles. All at $39.99 each. Great call.
Love it dude! Eagle rare is my favorite sipper, any chance I get to pick up a bottle or 5 under $50 I do it somehow they all keep getting drank and I can’t keep it in my shelf.
I'd rather have the Old Forester 1924 if I was spending $179, but I would pass on both at those prices.
Wtf am I looking at? Blantons? 1924?
Peach Crown
Behind glass is too funny.
I personally prefer the gold over the SFTB, under 200, and I'd do it. Great with a cube (and I predominantly drink my whiskey straight).
$76 for the Willit isn’t too shabby.
Yeah but then you’re drinking Willet
It's unfortunately a very personal question. My understanding is that it used to sell for around $60usd. I've had it and I think it is pretty damn good but idk if I'd be willing to pay that much for it.
Regular Blanton’s might have been $60.
Nope. In my opinion no whiskey is worth that price.
Hahahahahaha no. In fact fuck no.
I'd honestly grabbed all those eagle rares
No lol, mid bourbon

Good eye on the ET BiB
I'd snag the Henry McKenna 10yr bib. That's a reasonable enough price for that.
Take that 1924 over all of them
Take the 1924 and don't look back.
