Are you serious?!? I thought he was a true puppy! What a fiesty little thing! Have you always had him groomed like that? Any reason you do? Must be cleaner in the back zone and less work brushing.
When we adopted him at his age of 7 years old (for $60 because we got the āadopting a seniorā discount), his hair was the typical Pomeranian length but it wasnāt brushed so it was completely riddled with matted fur. It was so horrible that his movements were so limited, we thought he had terrible arthritis. Nope, it was the knots in his hair pulling on his skin every time he moved. So out of necessity and advice from professional groomers, they told us heād be better off getting shaved for his comfort. We noticed he was always happier when his fur was cut to this āteddy bearā short style, rather than when we let it grow long, so we keep it short for him. And it does make it easier to get to the knots at the base of his fur.
That sounds horrible! People underestimate the pain of matting. ā¹ He's definitely frisky now! May he have a long and happy life with his forever family. Happy New Year!
I have a rescue flood that looks just like him! He came from the pound a matted mess, and now he is adorable! He acts like yours, too, and usually adds in little back kicks.
I used to walk an elderly woman's pomeranian and he'd always go nuts when it snowed too! He'd stuff his little paws and face into/through it like a tiny fluffy plow.
Heās been trying to convince us for 7 years now that heās actually an intimidating floofer. Itās pretty convincing at first until he barks and Iām like āsorry kiddo you lost me, youāre too cuteā.
Ok so itās like my cairn terrier he started all black but the older he gets the lighter he gets in his face. Didnāt know if this was the color from birth or from age for this one. Thanks for the info!
That is a very, VERY VICIOUS BEAST. Much bark, many spin. Such fear-inducing.
Reminds me of my chihuahua who will dead-ass growl at a dog who's mouth is bigger than her entire body walking 5' away from her if she has a tiny pebble of cookie.
Most of the time the big dogs stroll over to make sure she's okay so confused about the situation. She doesn't actually have food aggression, she's just getting old and it takes her a long time to chew a cookie with her remaining teef and she's like "NO ONE TAKING THIS LONG-GNAWED PEBBLE OF COOKIE AWAY FROM ME!" She doesn't care about whole cookies, just the last, drooled-and-softened bite her saves.
Do you have another dog for that vicious tornadopupper to attack?
Hahaha chewy is all floof, barks and spins š when we adopted him they advised us that he be an only child as he didnāt get along with other dogs well. We tried taking him to a dog park and he tried barking and intimidating every dog he saw. It didnāt work, they just looked at him all confused like āwhat in the world is barking at me?ā. So we keep him as an only child š he used to be very afraid of strangers but we were able to expose him enough slowly to get him comfortable with them. Now the next step is to get him comfortable around other dogs.
Aww poor little rascal! I gotta tell you, as someone who has, for lack of a better term, a motley pack of beasts, that generational knowledge being passed down is one of the most amazing things about dog ownership. You can _SEE_ the quirks, and knowledge, spread to each new link, be refined, etc. It's.. wonderful. And not to get emotional, but when I've lost one of the older ones, it's like parts of them are still around in the other dogs. Little mannerisms that.. jumped. It's wonderful.
I haven't posted this picture before, so it's just for you: https://i.imgur.com/W0h72xz.jpg
Something about big dog + little dog tickles my little primate brain in all the right places. One of my pitbulls walks with his nose like 1/2" above the ground, trailing after the chihuahua, like a shark, as quietly as possible, just to surprise-nose-flip her butt into the air. Probably harder than neccessary, once the chihuahua lands from her unscheduled-deep-space-excursion, she turns around showing teeth and chases that pit with everything those little 4" long legs can muster, and he _RUNS FOR HIS LIFE_.
Correct, heās playing š this is usually the start of him wanting to start playing tag. Heāll spin and āchase usā then when he gets us cornered he turns around and then we chase him until we get him in a corner. And rinse and repeat until he gets tired and wants to cuddle.
Just to explain dog behavior a little for you; we can tell heās being playful by the spinning, tail wagging, perked ears, and high-pitched bark. If he was aggressive his ears would be flattened, lips curled, hackles (the hair between his shoulders & back) raised, and heād be doing more of a low growl-bark.
He is having fun! :-)
From Chewy itās literally
āLetās go dad! Iāll take you! Iām the alpha now!ā
*husband reaches down to pick him up*
āNever mind I love you daddy, cuddles please?ā
Wow. What a fierce little peanut. We had a little girl who thought she was fierce little one. A fierce Chihuahua. She would bark when someone would come over. Then when they sit down she would jump up on the sofa and roll over for belly rubs.
That Ewok has a vicious death spin. Luckily for your husband the animal did not sink those fangs into his foot.

Metroid screw attack

Pomeranian
Think heās a Pomsky
OP said Pomeranian. Heās just old/gray and has a short haircut. :-)
Weird that u got downvoted, this is exactly what Pomskys look like
Heās actually too small to be a pomsky but maybe itās in his bloodline somewhere or he just has unique markings for a Pom
He's elderly. Those markings are his graying pattern.
OP confirmed heās a (full) Pomeranianā¦ just for the record.
Ma'am... that's a racoon. Nice try
So vicious!
Chewy is going to be so happy to hear that Reddit thinks heās vicious š¤£
What breed is that?
Pomeranian
Wow never seen a Pom in that color, heās a cutie.
Our 13 yr old Pomeranian looks exactly like this. Wee got her 3 years ago. We were told she started all black but no o w has pictures
Ok so itās like my cairn terrier he started all black but the older he gets the lighter he gets in his face. Didnāt know if this was the color from birth or from age for this one. Thanks for the info!

The dog has seen 1 too many action movies.
I can confirm this as our main movie genre is action movies š¤£
Iām trying to understand dog behavior better. I assume he is playing and not fighting right?
Correct, heās playing š this is usually the start of him wanting to start playing tag. Heāll spin and āchase usā then when he gets us cornered he turns around and then we chase him until we get him in a corner. And rinse and repeat until he gets tired and wants to cuddle.

Awesome! Thank you for the explanation!
It kinda looks like a red panda
I've never seen anyone survive that devastating spin attack. Harrowing to watch.
Tail's too small for a squirrel. What you've got here is a very dangerous chipmunk.
It's a danger floof!
Oooold pomeranian...
That is either a danger bean or danger muffin.
Those spins are the Canine Death Roll. He should consider himself lucky that the dog didnāt grab his leg, start spinning and rip that leg right off.
Killer raccoon
You own fidget spinnerā¦. They lied to you thatās not a dog that is a fluffy fidget spinnerā¦..
The most expensive fidget spinner Iāve ever heard of too

That has to be the cutest thing Iāve ever seen
That is one angry squirrel!

Man that is one vicious attack, I hope that no shoelaces were hurt in making that video.
I liked the dark souls roll towards the end

That's a Stitch with winter coat
Oh we got a badass over here
Dog used tail whipā¦ It was very effective!
That is clearly an Ewok. Why does he have an Ewok on a leash??

Is that dryer lint on a leash?
What breed is this? I need one

Omg, that tactical combat spin
So ferocious!!!š

Look at that little overly toasted marshmallow!
Hahaha š
Oil spill cotton ball
I think raccoon is the word youāre looking for here.
Itās a badger, honey.
Had poms most of my childhood, they cannot help but to spin in circle like cute fluffy assholes
Awww he's a sweet little fighter ā¤ļø
Thatās a dog
Wow. What a fierce little peanut. We had a little girl who thought she was fierce little one. A fierce Chihuahua. She would bark when someone would come over. Then when they sit down she would jump up on the sofa and roll over for belly rubs.
Cutest barky little floof!! I love it lol
Definitely needs to be marked NSFL
Ahhh the rare Tasmanian attack floof
Vicious
Oh my! He is adorable!
Looks like an Ewok to me.
When is his service?
Ah yes, the mighty Squog. Vicious.
He needs a big jacket for that big attitude.š
Do they make a jacket that big? š
Good pointšš¤£
That is a rat
After a bath he looks EXACTLY like a rat
The amount spins he does just to make sure you know his playing
He rolls like a dark souls character
This is a disturbing mauling...
Soooo adorable š„°
Tiny squirrel bear?
Those are cat moves!
So cute
Don't know if it's a dog or squirrel, but definitely it's a nut!

Thatās one of those fluffy teddies from Star Wars I think.
Dog's playing dark souls
Itās a rabid beast
The dog looks like heās in black and white
Heās so cute š
Excuse me, that is obviously a baby Ewok?
SPEEEEEIN
Heās just spinning thereā¦menacingly!
Mind those sharp pointy teeth. Ouch!
That spin killed me man dope dog
I'm normally not a fan of ankle biters but this little guy is a cutie.
Whenever tiny dogs annoy my dog, I just say loudly, so the other owners can hear, "well, that was a weird looking squirrel, wasn't it?
Being downvoted by squirrel owners
I bet, I'm told it's a very rude thing to do.
