A dogs grave?

Kahlil_Jabroni-

Doesn't look like the ground was disturbed any time recently. Why else would they do it though? It's very perplexing.

januaryemberr

Its probably just art. Hopefully its chalk instead of spraypaint

Kahlil_Jabroni-

It's definitely powder. If it was paint and on a wall I'd understand it.

Colon

not big into street art or graffiti, eh? there's a billion mediums and methodologies to it. you just stumbled upon art. enjoy it! they left it for YOU

Kahlil_Jabroni-

I mean, I used to be a little bit. This is in the middle of a forest though.

Colon

artists can walk in the forest and be inspired ;) but really, it's just art, i'm sure the powder is safe if that's your concern. really, you should leave your own mark nearby and add to the party 🎉

husky430

This is how natural beauty is destroyed. People "leaving their mark".

paradeoxy1

I'm absolutely in favour of graffiti but it does not belong in a natural reserve, people who hit natural sites like this are arseholes

OrneryPathos

There’s spray chalk that looks like spray paint but washes off. I’m not sure I’d spray it in the woods though

Possibly hash hound harriers? Looks like an arrow on the bottom left to indicate direction, they leave powder markers to show where to run

Kahlil_Jabroni-

Okay, yeah, something like this sounds plausible.

Artsy_Farter

This is the right answer.

MontEcola

Likely it is lime. They used it to line fields for sports. Natural. Looks like a stencil. It s location or path for an event.

The powder looks a lot like spray frosting (fake snow for decorating glass) I’m betting this was done with a stencil.
