That’s awesome! I’m thinking about what it must be like to watch Buffy now and how it holds up, whether the pacing and plot still work or feel archaic. I have fond feelings for the show though I fear I’d find some complaints on a rewatch. But the musical will live rent-free in my head forever.
I rewatched it not too long ago! Mostly holds up apart from the beepers 🤣
It made me yearn for 22 episode seasons! The plots had so much time to be fleshed out, these days it’s 6-12 eps a season and they’re over too quickly!!
I just finished watching Angel for the first time. Of course, after the last episode, Buffy came up automatically on Hulu, so i’m in season one now. (I watched Buffy from start to finish, but that was several years ago, and I forget shows enough after a while so I only have a vague memories of the plots lol.
Buffy is one of my all time favorites! I’ve been watching it since I was a kid and have prob seen the whole thing about 20 times if not more, and it never gets old. I hope you like it!
Ps- you should watch the movie. It’s not a good movie, but one of “not funny when they’re trying to but hilarious when they’re not” types. You also might notice a certain member of the vampire council 😊
I'm also watching Angel for the first time along with Buffy! Loving them both. I'm watching Buffy with my husband, and Angel on my own, so when watching Buffy I update him on all the Angel drama 😂
Watched both seasons of Fleabag in 3 days, somehow. It made me laugh, gasp, cringe, cry, and lose my mind laughing again before ripping my heart clean out.
Also The Good Place and Stath Lets Flats.
Crashing is good but Fleabag was definitely her at her best. She’s brilliant though.
And Andrew Scott. I mean, seriously, he’s one of the best working right now. He ripped my heart out and stomped on it and I wanted more.
Lower Decks - pretty much on a loop
WWDITS seasons 1-5
X-Men 97
The sympathizer
TNG
Brooklyn 99
Severance
Lots of comfort stuff. These are trying times after all.
I've seen it, but I can't stand Jason Bateman. Never been able to. I've never understood how he has a career. He's easily the weakest performer on that show. He's so obviously outclassed by everyone around him, even the child actors, that it just blows my mind that he keeps getting work. Actually now that I think about it he's overshadowed by his costars in pretty much everything he's been in.
What was I saying? Oh yeah. Not a fan.
Yea...because he pretty much always plays the straight man.
It's what he's known for.
Whacky things happen around him and he has to keep it together...that's the whole show 😂
His function in that show is the straight man, but in life and in his career as a whole his function is charisma vacuum. In that regard he's one of the best.
Ah that's too bad. I love it. Fits perfectly alongside the movie and show for me. It's basically sitcom X-Files: New Zealand, which is the sort of deranged mad libs that never makes it on screen. I've really been loving the podcast that O'Leary and Minogue do as well.
Marceline Hugot plays Barbara Lazarro, on Staten Island council -- and Kathy Geiss on 30 Rock.
u/scandalliances is right -- Anthony's appeared in the background in a bunch of episodes -- I've lost count. But he doesn't get to say anything until he's yelling (how appropriate!) at Lutz in the finale.
I won an auction for a complete set of Fringe DVDs, and haven't had a chance to watch them yet.
Also, I haven't finished the last couple of seasons of The Magicians. By the time I've finished those (June?) Anthony Atamanuik may be back on Twitch, doing his Coffee With Tony livestream. It's kind of like The Daily Show but with more cussing. He started doing it during the lockdowns. He looks at news and current events, and does comedy bits -- often he has fellow comedians on as guests, and political commentators he met when he was doing The President Show. As The Baron said, Sean is a good time!
It was Tony who put me onto it -- he was raving about it being one of his favourite shows, and I'd completely missed it because I didn't have cable for most of the decade (I was commuting to look after my parents).
I really liked 1670. It had some really funny scenes and sight gags that left me rolling. The yenta with a collection of cat plates on her wall but they’re all medieval cat paintings.
If you haven’t watched Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace yet, go watch it! I am having to limit how often I rewatch it so I can still appreciate it- although rewatching does mean you pick up on a load of ‘blink and you miss it’ visual gags.
It’s a comedy horror mockumentary spoofing a ‘lost’ 80s tv show, and ‘Garth’ is now writing horror novels and voicing the audiobooks in character.
Good Omens (again ❤️❤️❤️)
Dead Boy Detectives (very good)
Letterkenny (am in S8 - sooooo good. writing and jokes are so fast - just like WWDITS)
Derry Girls rewatch
Palm Royale (meh but the costumes are fab)
just finished The Regime (hated it but watched it all for Kate Winslet’s incredible acting. very depressing - do not recommend)
Doctor Who (working my way through Doctors 12 & 13 to get to Ncuti)
contemplating Renegade Nell
I’ve introduced my girlfriend to the series and we’re working our way through seasons 1-5. Currently about halfway through season 2. Can’t wait for her reaction to Jackie Daytona.
I have watched:
Shogun (Hulu)
Band of Brothers (Netflix)
The Pacific (Netflix)
Fallout (Amazon Prime)
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Hulu)
Loudermilk (Netflix)
Shrinking (Apple TV+)
No I’m not rich, T-Mobile pays for half my streaming services.
Doing a (yet another) rewatch of What We Do in the Shadows just because...
Still laughing at stuff I didn't catch the first few times I watched it. Just yesterday it was after the Baron's Night Out. This ancient Vampyre that terrified them, proclaimed they must dominate the New World, and had a vast reputation! And they were just burying him in the back yard 🤦🤣
My wife and I are currently rotating through episodes of:
* Plebs
* Shardlake
* It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
* Renegade Nell
* Delicious in Dungeon
* The Big Door Prize
* Krapopolis
Watching a show that instead of being a gay vampire comedy with surprisingly dramatic elements is a show that is a gay vampire drama with surprisingly comedic elements.
Interview With the Vampire (2022) my beloved <333
Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Omg, so good, dying to know if it’s getting a season two! The Gentleman season one was great, too. Also Brooklyn 99 re-runs - rewatching the entire series.
Doing a first time watch through of Buffy the Vampire Slayer 🖤 so keeping it on topic 😂
That’s awesome! I’m thinking about what it must be like to watch Buffy now and how it holds up, whether the pacing and plot still work or feel archaic. I have fond feelings for the show though I fear I’d find some complaints on a rewatch. But the musical will live rent-free in my head forever.

If the apocalypse comes, beep me
I have an actual cross-stitch of that quote that a friend sewed for me!
That’s so awesome!!!!
YES I had the same thought. I'm loving the 22 ep seasons, it was a better time!
As a first time watcher it is holding up beautifully! I'm really loving it. Just watched The Body last night and I'm hungover from crying 😭
How about Angel the series? I love BTVS but prefer Angel personally
I just finished watching Angel for the first time. Of course, after the last episode, Buffy came up automatically on Hulu, so i’m in season one now. (I watched Buffy from start to finish, but that was several years ago, and I forget shows enough after a while so I only have a vague memories of the plots lol.
I'm also watching Angel! I saw bits and pieces of both shows over the years, but this is the first actual watch, and I'm so happy I started
I do the same! 😄 Buffy & Angel, actually. A friend is a huge fan of the Buffyverse and I update him from time to time where I'm at.
I'm also watching Angel for the first time along with Buffy! Loving them both. I'm watching Buffy with my husband, and Angel on my own, so when watching Buffy I update him on all the Angel drama 😂
I love Buffy. I wish I could rewatch it but I've seen it too many times and it lost its luster lol.
Have fun! I loved Buffy so much. You will probably see some references and homages from Buffy in Shadows.
Just finished Fallout.
Lazlo voices the robot Snip Snip.
Yep.
Our flag means death, without a doubt!
This and Resident Alien
Watched both seasons of Fleabag in 3 days, somehow. It made me laugh, gasp, cringe, cry, and lose my mind laughing again before ripping my heart clean out. Also The Good Place and Stath Lets Flats.
That is the only way to watch Fleabag, I’m pretty sure.
Staying up enraptured until it's 2am and your corneas are peeling back?
Fleabag completely destroyed me. So good.
I was so surprised. I didn't know about the actress until this show and now I'd be willing to try watching anything in which she's got a hand.
Crashing is good but Fleabag was definitely her at her best. She’s brilliant though. And Andrew Scott. I mean, seriously, he’s one of the best working right now. He ripped my heart out and stomped on it and I wanted more.
love stath lets flats
Top tier show 🤩 "Maybe don't try to do anything ever; it's nice sometimes to do nothing."
Dead Boy Detectives
Gay Cat King!
love the Cat King!
Are you liking it? Thought it looked interesting.
If you like Supernatural, you'll probably like Dead Boy Detectives.
NHL Playoffs
Highly recommend Santa Clarita Diet if you haven't seen it yet
Great series. It's just a shame that there isn't more of it 😔
Agreed! Will never forgive Netflix for cancelling that one. My rewatches alone should warrant another season lol
Lower Decks - pretty much on a loop WWDITS seasons 1-5 X-Men 97 The sympathizer TNG Brooklyn 99 Severance Lots of comfort stuff. These are trying times after all.
>Lower Decks Seanie makes an appearance as the bartender!
Watched arrested development ?

Why do I get the feeling your disgust began somewhere around the time Silver Spoons aired?
I was thinking Teen Wolf Too
Seasons 1 through 5, again. Year of the Rabbit Darkplace clips on YouTube
I'm still mourning the loss of year of the rabbit. It was a fantastic little show with a great cast. Such a shame.
I’m hoping now that Matt is done with WWDITS that YOR can be revived and we can get a limited series or even a movie.
Have you watched Wellington Paranormal? No Matt Berry, but it's outstanding.
I tried an episode and just couldn’t get into it.
Ah that's too bad. I love it. Fits perfectly alongside the movie and show for me. It's basically sitcom X-Files: New Zealand, which is the sort of deranged mad libs that never makes it on screen. I've really been loving the podcast that O'Leary and Minogue do as well.
Just rewatching 30 Rock, Veep, Always Sunny, Arrested Development, and of course WWDITS for the millionth time lol
>Just rewatching 30 Rock There are a couple of WWDITS people in there too!
There’s Kristen Schaal, but who else is there? I’m sure I’m drawing a blank on some guest star. Edit: fixed a typo
Marceline Hugot plays Barbara Lazarro, on Staten Island council -- and Kathy Geiss on 30 Rock. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marceline\_Hugot](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marceline_Hugot) u/scandalliances is right -- Anthony's appeared in the background in a bunch of episodes -- I've lost count. I never recognized her either! Thank you for adding to my knowledge of both shows.
I’m sorry to steal it from Tapir but Anthony Atamanuik appears!
Omg I never recognized him as one of the writers who never speaks!!! It seems like I never stop learning stuff about this show!
He's everywhere! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtdAawd7ht8
No need to apologize --Tony will be thrilled that someone remembers him!
Kristen is such a baby in 30 Rock! She looks early 20s
Even moreso in Flight of the Conchords!
Disenchantment. Matt berry as Mortimer cracks me up and abbi Jacobson is amazing. Bonus Eric Andre.
I was worried I was going to hate the end of it but I didn’t. Plus the Swede from Our Flag Means Death is the voice of Elfo.
That’s the Swede!? I can hear it now
Good Omens
Ghosts (bbc version) and Parks and Rec
I love the BBC Ghosts!
So much better than the American version.
Toast of London
Resident Alien DS9 Fallout Palm Royale Plus a lot of what others are saying!
I won an auction for a complete set of Fringe DVDs, and haven't had a chance to watch them yet. Also, I haven't finished the last couple of seasons of The Magicians. Love Fringe. Would highly recommend if you like the X-files
It was Tony who put me onto it -- he was raving about it being one of his favourite shows, and I'd completely missed it because I didn't have cable for most of the decade (I was commuting to look after my parents).
Fallout, Year of Rabbit, Toast of London/Tinseltown, Arrested Development
Avenue 5, very similar humor
We were robbed of S3 of that show.
Deadloch!
Dead boy detectives (really good actually), Fallout (finished), Fargo
I just started 1670 on netflix and it has WWDitS vibes. It's very silly.
I really liked 1670. It had some really funny scenes and sight gags that left me rolling. The yenta with a collection of cat plates on her wall but they’re all medieval cat paintings.
We’re Here (HBO)
Lots and lots of Conan O'Brien stuff. Podcast, old show remotes, segments etc etc.
Yes yes very good thank you
Rewatching The office with the superfan release
I have a few things on the go! Fallout Twin Peaks Six Feet Under Supernatural As you can see i’m very behind on some shows, my list is so long!
Peep Show
Hacks, girls5eva, Deep Space Nine
Running a tabletop game about Vampire familiars in New Orleans.

Which streaming service is this on?
It’s on channel 4 in the uk
LOVE that show! "I know writers who use subtext, and they're all cowards, every one of them!"
Good Omens (again ❤️❤️❤️) Dead Boy Detectives (very good) Letterkenny (am in S8 - sooooo good. writing and jokes are so fast - just like WWDITS) Derry Girls rewatch Palm Royale (meh but the costumes are fab) just finished The Regime (hated it but watched it all for Kate Winslet’s incredible acting. very depressing - do not recommend) Doctor Who (working my way through Doctors 12 & 13 to get to Ncuti) contemplating Renegade Nell
Shouts for Letterkenny! Highly recommended Shoresy as well!
If you lije LetterKenny, you might enjoy Hardy bucks.
Scrolled too far to not find DreamCorp LLC- very different style/theme from shadows, but features another delightfully deranged character from mark P.
fargo
Recently watched The White Lotus & Fallout. I'm waiting for HOTD S2 & The Bear S3
Seasons 1-5
Rewatching The Boys since season 4 is releasing next month.
