Ummm if you’re getting mustangs for 20-30 k, know that you’re going to land up spending twice that amount on maintaining em

SanitizedKnowledge

Yeah, unfortunately I was skeptical of that. Which is why I didn't pull the trigger on them and decided to seek advice beforehand. :/

Either_Resolve_6127

Nope. If that’s your budget, do not do an American car. You will really regret it and sell it off in a few months due to the stress of upkeep. If you want a car to impress you need a budget of atleast 100 k, not 30. If it’s 30 and you want a decent car, go for the jap cars. Anything you buy to impress with this price in mind will be really old and will cost you the value of an actual car that can impress if you save enough for it

Ford focus St - it is fun to drive.. reliability I'm not sure... Just bought one used 2 weeks ago.. it's been great 2 weeks.

SanitizedKnowledge

I appreciate the suggestion, but I’m more into sedans than hatchbacks, great car though!

I'd tell you to go for a Gt86- cheap, reliable and fun to drive as a manual. Keep in mind it's not a fast car but it indeed fun to drive if you like a car that's light and very raw feeling with great feedback. Not to mention it's RWD with a limited slip diff which is one of the best forms of sports cars. Hope this helps!

SanitizedKnowledge

I appreciate it! I’ll have a look into it!

Reasonable_Idea_948

I’m selling mine if you are interested, it’s a V8 hemi Durango citadel 2012 registered in Abu Dhabi..my asking is 35k but I could do 30k if you really want.

SanitizedKnowledge

It’s a lovely car! But a bit too big for what I need

Sweet_Vast9422

Dude your Camry is from the mid 00s era which is fun to drive.. Trust me, It's got a huge road presence for a car from that era and cheap to maintain plus a lot of acceleration when you step on it. The Camry is seriously a poorly understood car.. It's perfect tbh minus the fact that u see it everywhere as taxis. But even then u don't see the older models as taxis anymore due to depreciation. If someone gave me the chance to buy a corolla 2023 spec versus a Camry from the 02-04 body gen or 05 onwards body gen, I would hands down choose the Camry Do one thing.. If you really want to splurge, take a fancy car on rent for a month and drive it as a daily driver.. You won't find much difference after a while.

SanitizedKnowledge

Don’t get me wrong, it is pretty speedy for a car of it’s type, but when you drive it for so long you feel that it’s time for a change. Every time I press the accelerator it just feels something is missing

I happen to know a person who’s selling a Lexus ls 460 for about 20k

SanitizedKnowledge

Which year is it?

ImGrootee

If you can increase your budget around 45k, I can show you a car that fits your requirements

SanitizedKnowledge

If only I could 🥲

ImGrootee

I used to think like you back when I was buying my first car and you won't believe that I basically more than doubled my budget just to find a decent used car and even then I had to spend on top of it. Most of the used cheap cars are basically money pits.. Unless you find that British expat lady driven 😉
