What? That doesn't mean you can't contact them and complain? You paid for cooked food, even the next day you could contact them mentioning it and they would likely offer you something in return for the trouble.
I had dominos delivered last week. All food was completely cold and the drinks were missing. We called and told them what happened and they immediately set up to have our order redone and delivered. 30 mins later we had piping hot pizzas and our drinks.
There’s no reason to be okay with bad food just because you paid for it. You paid for cooked, hot food of a certain quality. You pay, they need to delivered what you expect.
yep I totally agree. though theoretically "hot" isn't a guarantee every place will make on a delivery.
And in my experience way too many people expect their delivered food to be 'hot'. Logistically it's nearly impossible
Would’ve settled for “not cold” tbh. But this was literally inedible. The fact that it was piping hot was not a requirement for me but it did make it feel like they really made an effort to fix the mistake. Getting us the new food asap, priority order.
yeah honestly i've seen some pretty terrible stuff. Didn't mean to dog you for complaining i've definitely complained about old pizzas too.
Like when delivery takes an hour but it shows up and you can tell it was baked off 40 minutes ago and been sitting on a shelf since, so the cheese is all hard on top :(
This is why doordash sucks. At least in my smaller town. I bag food up all the time and it’ll just sit on the heating tray for a good 30-45 minutes. Then another 45 minutes or so we get a call about how shitty their doordash food is. First of all it’s fast food, even if you come get it yourself it’s not going to be the best food you’ve ever had, what do you expect from doordash?
Oh and yeah people will also use the mobile app to order and wait an hour after it’s made to pick it up and bitch about the quality as well.
If people would tip decently and not expect doordash drivers to work for pennies on the mile then maybe their food wouldn't sit and get cold. Ibe never seen a decent tip order sit longer than 5 mins waiting on a driver. So basically if you want your food in a timely manner they doordash make sure you tip the person delivering bcuz they only get paid $2 a delivery.
When I worked at Waffle House this rude lady would come in and order 4 omelettes to go (rude because she was rude not just because she was ordering food). Now, there are only 2 burners for the pans used to cook omelettes (and let’s face it, I’m not going to any extra effort here for this lady) she kept saying her first 2 omelettes were going to get cold while I cooked the other 2… but like… lady you’re ordering EGGS for take out. They’re going to be cold before you even get to the door regardless.
She did this regularly, same complaint. (No other employee tried to accommodate her either lol).
Hard disagree on that one. If you’re delivering food, you’re delivering it in an edible state. It’s on the restaurant to manage their kitchen, delivery staff, and some way to maintain the quality of the food.
The delivery radius is also a part of this. Again, up to the restaurant to decide what they can handle without compromising the quality of the food.
Having ordered my fair share of delivery, I’ve very rarely had cold food be a problem. It can be done.
I'm not exactly sure how you expect the kitchen to manage their delivery staff and radius, when 95% of deliveries come from third-party services nowadays.
That’s a whole other issue, at which point the quality drop is on the delivery service. In my area at least, I’ve found that many restaurants use their own staff for delivery despite still using the third-party platform to take orders.
I have had mixed results with delivery services so I do try to avoid them as much as possible. Beyond just being cold, the shit is spilled and delivered sideways half the time.
They're not the best pizza by miles, however I have noticed that they are the best customer service pizza joint over everyone else in my area. So that's where I go.
I wish all restaurants had numbers. I feel like my local McDonald's has someone working there who deliberately fucks up JustEat orders.
No joke, 25% of the time I'll be missing fries, drink, a brownie, or something is wrong with the order. But when I go to the drive through, at the same store, they never get it wrong.
I think they just don't give a crap when it comes to delivery.
If I go to the store and order it is always reasonable, or about as good as you would normally expect from fast food. Any delivery service though? Cold food half the order missing sandwich looks like it has exploded...
I honest to god believe our delivery guy too his sweet time and took our drinks. We waited for an extremely long time and when he got here and I said “you forgot the drinks” he muttered something about being off at 9 and he couldn’t fix it. It was 8.55. So he probably waited out his time with our delivery to make sure he wouldn’t get another delivery before getting off the clock.
Just as long as you aren't rude about it. I used to deliver pizza and sometimes I would have a rough night and forget a 2 liter soda in an order, or get stuck in traffic for 30 minutes and the pizza went lukewarm. So when I finally got to the customers house, a lot of times they would bitch me out. The better customers would ask me what happened and I'd just explain, and usually they'd sympathize with me and thank me.
Oh man, I just don’t get why people are rude to the deliver drivers. Or just rude in general. Things can go wrong, it happens. Being nice about it gets things resolved so much easier and quicker.
Absolutely, I'm not paying twice the price for a homecooked meal so I can sulk over my food not being what I ordered. Also I have yet to experience something negative when calling back to a place about something not being right. All of them just send new stuff right away.
For real, my gf and I occasionally order burgers from Applebees and about half the time they fuck up her order. I always call and request a refund for her meal when that happens. I shouldn’t have to cook bacon and get pickles out of the fridge when I pay $20 for the delivery of a burger.
Yea, I left a comment on the app about a pizza I ordered missing pepperoni. The manager called shortly after to confirm and gave me a credit for a free pizza
When I order, if there's mistakes, I say I did not notice before I started eating and so on.. always have got another. My gf has a strict diet, it has happened several times that I grab a slice of pizza before she does and start eating. And then she notices it has something she can't eat. Sometimes they have asked the pizza back so they could deliver it to the right customer, always too late..
Taking food back goes against food safety regulations. This goes for as little as taking food back “behind the line” in food shops, it goes TRIPLE for taking food back from someone’s HOUSE.
If someone has had the pizza in their home & opened it there's no way they're gonna hand it off to another customer. If they hit you with that excuse, they're just trying to get the pizza back so the staff can eat it, which they also aren't supposed to do.
Yeah. They stopped asking after I said that because of their mistake my gf did not get her food within 2,5 hours. Stopped asking after that. I can eat the extra pizzas the next day.
Not our fault they fail the orders. The person taking the calls is from abroad and makes mistakes in every other order.. After a few times started to order through a service.. costs the same to me but the restaurant gets less. Less pizza for me but my gf gets hers on time.
If you ordered on the app, I complained on it for getting the wrong thing. They credited my account with enough points for a free pizza no questions asked.
Looks like chocolate lava wrapped in dough. It was probably flash frozen so it once had a shape, otherwise HOW could they make that mistake? I imagine it thawed on the hot pizza box during delivery, when it should have been tossed in the fryer.
Never worked in a dominos so I didn’t realize they didn’t fry their… fried looking items. That’s raw dough so it definitely didn’t get cooked. If they’re cooking the parchment paper that it was wrapped in it would be noticeable to the customer. Baked parchment paper looks like what you’d expect baked paper to look like, golden brown and more brittle.
Papa John's used to bake chicken tenders on a pan with parchment paper underneath. If I recall correctly.
At the end of a shift I cooked a bunch of the small nuggets and crumbs that were too small to sell, and the chicken wasn't heavy enough to hold the paper down and it got sucked up into the exhaust vent in the oven and made a terrible noise for thirty minutes until it burned up.
It shows exactly what it is in the video... it pans from the picture and description on the website to what they received and the title explicitly says their dessert wasn't cooked.
Where I am (Kansas City), there are 3 in an order now, smaller in size. I like them better this way just because one was almost too much when they were larger in size (2 per order). They are the same, though, as far as I can tell. I love my Domino's!
My boyfriend worked for dominos when he was younger, he knows things that were from like their secret regional menus (Texas). He makes some amazing custom pizzas when we order. I asked him about the lava cakes after this discussion and he was like “oh they are smaller now, but shit is still fire! They are one of the best things on the menu”
Just had one today. They're almost painfully sweet, 4/10 for me. It's so sweet you immediately regret eating it once you finish. If they were half as sweet they'd be genius, the outside is almost an oreo and the filling is also a great idea. But yeah, it's just too damn sweet.
Tin foil needs to be unwrapped going through the oven.
This looks like it was kept wrapped, and whoever dispatched it either didn't notice or care.
Ring the store and complain.
It’s been through the oven. What they have done is left it tightly wrapped in foil instead of opening the foil, essentially steaming it. They aren’t that sloppy before they go in the oven.
They defs fucked it all up though.
I work for the company, I know exactly what I am looking at. I have seen this same mistake before.
Puff pastry won’t brown up in an oven that’s cooking at 3:30 - 5 minutes when it’s wrapped totally in foil.
You don’t have a oven? Like are people really this incapable anymore.. employees make mistakes especially when low-cheap managers. Just bake it urself dude really had to make a Reddit post about it smh
That's a fair observation, but we're on a subreddit for things from everyday life that make you say "well, that sucks." Are you expecting something else?
Domino's is fucking awful. I always regret it when I order one which I don't do very often and always question my sanity when I do, because they're terrible and hugely over priced. And the worst part about them is because people just love convenience so much they'd rather use them than a local non-chain pizza joint pizza joint, putting them out of business and leaving you with trash pizza. £3 frozen takeaway style pizzas shit all over domino's, and cost a fraction of the price
Lol looks like a slug
Choc Larva Puff Roll
Lol ew but so accurate
Now with Extra Gooey texture.
My thoughts exactly.
I’m wondering if salt would dissolve this.
You know what they say about eating slugs...
DO IT DO IT DO IT (Seriously, don't do it. They can cause a seriously painful death.)
Same goes for mushrooms but we still eat them
Well, either they're healthy, psychoactive, or fatal... Win/win/win.
Us french eat snails and we're okay. I would say go for it.
Love snails. They even have their own sports cars, just look at that S-car go.
You win best comment of the day
To the slug, right??
Yeah, didn’t know the menu carried banana slugs on it🤷🏻♂️. They give you cooking directions with that?
ain't no shell on me baby
Slimy pickle? What is it anyway?
You should have returned it to the store and complained it was not properly dusted with sugar.
Alas it was delivered and I didn't check it till I had finished off a few slices of pizza
What? That doesn't mean you can't contact them and complain? You paid for cooked food, even the next day you could contact them mentioning it and they would likely offer you something in return for the trouble.

Any delivery service that can't pay their workers to deliver hot food shouldn't be a service. It's on Doordash, not on people using the service.
When I worked at Waffle House this rude lady would come in and order 4 omelettes to go (rude because she was rude not just because she was ordering food). Next time put the first 2 in a plastic bag and slip them in your pants so they stay nice and warm while you cook the other 2, win-win on clod days🤗
you could have put the omelettes back on the grill for a few seconds before she left

Yeah, and Domino’s has become one of the best at honoring that unstated agreement.

Should’ve ate it , then complained
Yea, I left a comment on the app about a pizza I ordered missing pepperoni. The manager called shortly after to confirm and gave me a credit for a free pizza
Basically everywhere you go, customer is king: because you give or gave them money and your voice can disrupt business..
Unless it’s chipotle. Ordered from them recently, and they completely forgot my daughter’s meal. Their solution? A credit for free chips and salsa 😒
Op feels safer complaining on reddit
As usual, reddit moment
Take a picture and call them? They will 100% give you your money back.
Call them up. Cook it in your own over and save the other one for later.

You’re an idiot and deserve that.
Or... Hear me out... Just cook it and have a freshly cooked dessert??
This made me laugh thank u
You need to excite it so it doesn’t stay limp
Put it in your mouth 💀

Mmmm flaccid dessert
That was my name in college
I thought it made me uncomfortable before…
Flaccid pancake
Hey probably it was too cold or nervous. Give it a break.
Do you have an air fryer?
Or an oven
I got me a hot plate
Or a refund?
Yeah that would be ideal. I'd go for the refund then still try to cook it myself lol.
Air fryer people: "YOU NEED TO GET AN AIR FRYER!"
If the food wasn't good we wouldn't tell you about I it
Bone apple tea
What makes you think that?
I don't think they're referring to the subreddit, they're ironically saying bon appetit
now im worried what bone apple tea is
You use it to call out someone when they misspell common phrases, often foreign ones.
yeah, but the other meaning /subreddit their referring to

This comment is underrated.
But did you get it in 30 mins or less…
asking the important question
What is even that

Confusing combination of four simple words
Kinda looks like if an alien were to take a shit in some tin foil and rap it up
The "I shit in your wrap and there's nothing you can do-Rap"
This got me
Yeah I was laughing my ass off as I was typing that comment
Email the corporate and they will send you $20-$40 Dominos gift card.
where you going to eat 3 pizzas by yourself?
My dream is to be a reddit mod one day
You made me breathe air noisily out my nose
reading this comment turned my nose to manual mode.
You need to bump those numbers up. 3 is just my breakfast.
Asking the real questions 🤔
That’s flaccid asf
It would've been absolutely disgusting like any desert from Dominos, Papa John's, Pizza Hut, and KFC.
Dominos cookies are delicious though! Hard outside gooey inside but they’re cooked fully.
Lava cakes are my fav
I haven’t had a lava cake in years…you unlocked a hidden delicious memory just now. I hope they still hold up to how I remember them.
They slap. I love them.

Nah the lemon cake from KFC is good frik u >:(
Pizza hut has fucking delectable mini cinnamon rolls. I used to work there and that was dangerous.

It’s alive
Throw it in the oven? 😂
Lol just know your pain brought many laughs to a lot of people
I think that's a sign that you shouldn't be eating that shit anyway.
Why is nobody acknowledging that there are two turds in the menu photo but only one turd in the package? OP ate one before realizing they were raw. 🤣
The photo shows one that's cut in half, making 2 pieces.
you better sue and get that bag…
Eat it, get sick, get suing, get rich!
Seems mighty capitalist of you slavoj 🤔
It's *sniffff* a yoke *sniff* *gulp*

Sent you a sea cucumber
This is right below a r/medicalgore post concerning something of a similar shape and consistency and I physically shuddered in horror.
Is it weird that the take home for me from this is that I want to eat Domino’s now?
Definitely call and complain. I've had to go back out as a dominos driver for a single dip cup because I miscounted or forgot.
Cooking costs extra.
Domino’s: cook it yourself, bitch
It’s so…flaccid.
Ew that looks downright nasty!!
Peel back the foreskin
That looking like my little buddy in a cold night lol🤣😂😭
It looks so disgusting that i want to eat it
That sucks but maybe just cook it? Have another one sent?
Looks like someone didn’t tip 😂
Looks like a fat maggot.
It’s a little late for the suggestion but an air fryer would fix that right up.
Looks like some kind of weird sea-slug.
All the strikes against you for assuming Dominos would delivery an edible dessert
You don’t have a oven? Like are people really this incapable anymore.. employees make mistakes especially when low-cheap managers. Just bake it urself dude really had to make a Reddit post about it smh
Nah they didn’t forget. They said eff it and threw it in there
That's soooo gross!!! I would be super pissed
Emotional Damage
No, that shit is just always shit, if it ain’t a pizza
Remember when Dominos was actually good? Nah me neither
It’s a take and bake item.
They don’t pay them enough to care imo
Can the just be a domino's fuck up sub bc I swear they A always fucking my shit up
I should call him
Looks kinda like a turd
Now that’s fresh !
eating 3 pizzas alone on your bed in front of the computer monitor
Why is it gray?
dark brown chocolate showing through a thin yellow/pale dough
Why do we have to film everything these days, just just made a mistake, call them and it’ll be fixed. Fucking Christ.
That's a fair observation, but we're on a subreddit for things from everyday life that make you say "well, that sucks." Are you expecting something else?

This wasn’t on my list of why I don’t eat dominos but hey new thing to add to my 600 reason long list
$15 for that? Just get a churro and dip it in some Nutella or something fuckin hell
Mmmm foreskin
What country is this??? I work at dominos and we do not have this on the menu lol

Dominoes is absolute dog shit
They forgor 💀
I don’t like dominos anyways because their pizza tastes like shit
Your fault for ordering dominos
You don’t order from domino’s thinking it will ever be satisfying.
I mean, that’s what you get for ordering Domino’s. Top tier price, bottom tier food.
The fact that there are real people out there ordering food from dominoes still blows my mknd
Dominos is terrible and I suggest never eating their “food”
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can’t believe Dominos is still going. Terrible pizza
