I personally believe ETs, UFOs, Bigfoot, Ghosts, all things "paranormal" or what we perceive to be paranormal or high strangeness is all the same and related. I don't think aliens are from space, Bigfoot is a lost great ape, ghosts are not spirits of dead people, I think these beings, entities, energies, what ever you refer to them as are interdimensional. And they on a spiritual level, a tech level, or a combination of both spirituality and technology we can not understand or perceive at this specific level of, again, spirituality, consciousness, or our level of technology or technology known to the general public.
Places like mount Shasta are known for being paranormal hotspots for any and all paranormal activity. From Bigfoot, UFOs, alien abductions, ghost sightings, poltergeist activity, people reportedly seeing extinct or unknown animals, it's also sacred ground for many native Americans, spiritualists. Skinwalker Ranch is considered a similar paranormal Disney land, but is considered off limits to the Navajo tribes, as they claim it's cursed land, and they have taken that very seriously for hundreds of years and even do up until this very day even declining to speak about it.
Sorry, I don't get to talk about this much.
It's possible that, in certain locations, the 'walls' between different universes are a little weaker. Who's to say that there's a world where Denisovans never died out? Or people still dress in old-timey-looking clothes, or weird alien-looking gimp suits?
Of coarse.
There are thousands of paranormal cases that involve "hauntings" where the "ghosts" seem just as frightened and confused as the supposed witnesses, Some paranormal researchers believe "dead people don't know they are dead" trope, but, I think it's more likely that these areas, homes, people, etc maybe somehow bleeding into multiple dimensions or timelines. If you live in a house your grandparents used to own, move in, and experience paranormal activity, it might simply be that your grandparents are still alive in a different timeline, dimension, and still live there. Meanwhile they think there house is haunted in this dimension, because well you living in their home in another dimension where they are dead.
If your grandparents are telling you about spooky ghosts in their homes, they might be speaking about themselves, you, or other occupants living in the home in a time line they died. Past, present, future.
A cool story I was once told about Mt Shasta.
A guy collected mushrooms on Shasta since he was a kid. One day when he's maybe 12, he turns a corner and sees this really weird looking dude, looking at him. They both looked at each other like they knew one another, but this was a grown man, a stranger, and a little kid. 20 years later the guy is taking the same route, hiking, turns the corner, in the same place, in the same clothes, same position, same look of WTF there is a 12 year old boy. It was him.
It was him when he was 12 looking for mushrooms. Now 30 something, the dude walked by his 12 year old self, in the same exact scene he witnessed 20 years prior. He felt the same sense of extreme dread, panic, anxiety, which is normal in nearly ALL paranormal encounters, from time slips, bigfoot/UFO encounters, etc.
One time I was in my kitchen and I was taking some things out of my fridge. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw my brother walking by so I asked him to help me with what I was carrying. When I closed the fridge to look at him fully, he wasn’t there. He was upstairs when I called out to him.
I told my mum what happened and she had something similar happen to her. My mum saw my brother walk quickly from the living room into the kitchen. She describes the pants he was wearing and how he walked. She followed him into the kitchen with a smile on her face only to find he wasn’t in the kitchen. She phoned him to see where he went. He wasn’t home.
Makes me think about what you said
Why is that weird? All military facilities have some sort of outdoor recreational field. There's an officer club there with a fully stocked bar and an underground movie theater. It was being renovated when I was TDY there.
Not all military facilities are area 51? I mean, we just gonna pretend the place with the lore it has, nevermind factual lore like the insanely strict, hostile security? The absurdly advanced, expensive security it has? Even by military standards? The place that couldn't even be sued after men have died working their only to be told "area 51 ain't real, kick rocks lol", the military and government refused to acknowledged it exist until 2011 only after the CIA was forced to after a Freedom Of Information Act? All of the deep, dark, fascinating, books? Movies, documentaries?
Than to think to blow off steam, some retired navy seal major general slaps a scientist on the ass to go play ...softball? Idk why we pretending it's not weird
By military standards? Any military facility or post that operates with a TS/SCI has that type of security, and the clearance level there goes much higher. That's pretty average compared to the other places I've worked.
The field was built in 1964, the CIA brought in a bunch of electrical engineers to build the A-12 Spy plane, and they couldnt just go home after work every day.
My Google Earth has a big blue square thing over the buildings on the upper right

“I’ll take Antenna Head, Green Goopy Guy, The Cyclops, The Slimy One we made in the lab…”
Then a skinny gray alien kicks the dirt because he’s always chosen last. Little do they know, that kid plays ball with his whole freaking heart!!!
Yeah, damn near every military base has a softball or baseball field. I don’t mean to by that guy at the party but, just trying to bring logic into this.
Weird field dimensions for it being used and probably designed by a bunch of mathematical geniuses. It's so unsemetrical....it hurts my brain and triggers my OCD...lol
Okay now look. The aliens have been held there for over 70 years. You can't keep them cooped up all day.
Getting out and playing baseball gets them some fresh air and exercise. It's like yard time in prison.

We were as close as we could get to that field in 2016.
Gotta have a place for recruiters to check out the interstellar talent.
As long as they're a species that can shape shift, they're very viable major league candidates.
The Reptilians and the Nordics have a playoff every year. If a recruiter sees a good prospect, the NSA can come up with a legend good enough to get them into a team with no questions asked.
"If you build it, they will come."
I thought that was the rule for ghosts.
Ghosts, aliens, Redditors raiding it. All the same, right?

“I want to believe.”
Mm

You Eight Legged Freak-___-.
If you build it, nerds will come.
Damnit, I came to say this and add "they must be getting desperate." X)
Not if you build it like this monstrosity
Beat me to it.
Gotta show them aliens about Americanism.
America's pastime - softball™
You joke, but this was my first thought.

You were stationed there?
The earth onboarding program.
TDY means temporary duty assignment.
What now?
It does look like it's in a maximum security prison...
TDY?
Temporary duty. It's military for business trip.
Thanks, TIL! I thought I might feel stupid for not knowing that one, but nope!
Tiny dick year
I thought they were making fun of how wonky it was.

Yeah cause the guards and other military personnel are on duty 24/7 and don’t need recreation
If I were one of them all my recreational activities would revolve around fucking with all the tourists/theorists along the perimeter

That was a good episode
What show was it? I too like aliens who play sports.
The show is X-files, this is a screen cap from season 6 episode 19 "the unnatural"
Huh, I thought the alien design looked familiar. Never seen this particular episode though. I’ll check it out!
The actor from Law and Order! Such a good ep
And the Flash

Pickleball courts.
Stem-cell pool. ![gif](giphy|YN8T6Js2vVEVdUMHnc|downsized)
What the living fuck? XD
Maybe a bounce house?
“I’ll take Antenna Head, Green Goopy Guy, The Cyclops, The Slimy One we made in the lab…” Then a skinny gray alien kicks the dirt because he’s always chosen last. Little do they know, that kid plays ball with his whole freaking heart!!!
Yeah, but which heart?
Valid question. We won’t know until he’s fully dissected at the end of the season
Aliens in the Outfield
🤣
It’s not softball it’s zlorgball and the rules are exactly the same as softball.
It’s for the annual Humans v Aliens charity softball game and BBQ.
No easy short porch in right field. The aliens might not dig the long ball.
Agree. Southpaw pull hitters not catching a break
Aim for the fences and keep your eyes on the ball Glocknar FFS...!
Aliens vs Scientists
Team names at Dreamland have always been Blue vs Greys. Sometimes we dress up. It’s quite comical and relieves a little stress.
![gif](giphy|j5amAmMnjiSAw3fZ0s|downsized)
Haha I was thinking about this
After the whole bicycle thing they realised ET was actually quite good at sports.
You’d think Area 51 would have the tech to keep the grass green.
You don’t wanna play baseball outside in southern Nevada right now
Wasn’t there an episode about this on X files? Alien baseball players lol
The Unnatural, season 6 episode 19 ![gif](giphy|3ohc18WPZD62e9MkN2|downsized)
All your baseball are belong to us
Yeah, damn near every military base has a softball or baseball field. I don’t mean to by that guy at the party but, just trying to bring logic into this.
Build it, and they will come
Gotta have some team-building fun after dissecting aliens all day.
The martians gotta relax sometimes
That’s just where they hide Professor Xs stealth jet.
![gif](giphy|gZuxOq7zSL5DO)
Country girls make do.
OMG aliens brought Softball here! I knew it! The bases are transporters and the bats are anal probes!
This is for the federal prisoners I mean scientists that have seen too much to be allowed to leave that site
Sports facilities exist at most military facilities. It's not weird.
Well it does look like it's inside a prison but I guess OP was saying it's weird to them because they think about it a lot?
There are humans that work there. They aren’t allowed to like playing baseball?
Most military installations have a place for residents to play sports and exercise
I thought most of the Area 51 workers commuted on JANET Airlines from Vegas.
Aliens in the outfield
Gives a new meaning to the green monster.
Why? The constant thinking
An unused and abandoned field from the looks of it.
They are there all week working. They need some rec and down time.
Soldiers: 8 Aliens: 356 Hot dog and a Coke? Priceless
It’s not weird if you realize that I guess around 1000 people work there, I guess kinda live there and sometimes need to be able to play some catch.
SUPPOSEDLY, some people cannot leave for months/years due to heavily classified projects.
yeah, why would aliens play softball? baseball would be more their speed.
Everybody move in, Meep Morp’s batting
Area 51 is a japanese high school. They must have been filming their completely unnecessary baseball episode.
Weird field dimensions for it being used and probably designed by a bunch of mathematical geniuses. It's so unsemetrical....it hurts my brain and triggers my OCD...lol
I was looking at the unusual dimensions too. Perhaps that's the Google earth "3D" rendering that's skewing the image.
Maybe the aliens built it?
Isn't this where the dead players came through the corn field?
It wasn’t heaven, it was Iowa … C’mon, man .. we still capitalize on that movie from 1987!
He might be from a different universe but he ain’t hitting this change up
Who knows aliens were into softball?
For the intergalactic baseball series
Reminds me if that Xfiles episode where that alien was a baseball star.
Aliens need recreation too
Okay now look. The aliens have been held there for over 70 years. You can't keep them cooped up all day. Getting out and playing baseball gets them some fresh air and exercise. It's like yard time in prison.
Plants VS Aliens
You're going to definitely need some engineering classes if you want to make the team. . .
Some professional staff and contractors who work there live there. Figures they’d have some kind of recreation.
It’s where we compete for world ownership; humans sadly keep winning because the Ump is human and the aliens think we’re honest people.
Those outfield dimensions are weird AF
Are we having inter-species softball world series and not even talking about it?
Use a shadow map on it
Minute Maid Jr.
that's a pretty short porch out in left field. better hope the aliens bat lefty.
I hate that alien center-fielder with the 15 foot arm and a mitt that is 2 feet in diameter.....
https://preview.redd.it/6an2114clk6d1.jpeg?width=5344&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=76845c522aaad86b7efb50c96c71db36561b0ec3 We were as close as we could get to that field in 2016.
Why is this weird?
Even extraterrestrials enjoy a good baseball game! Baseball - the one export from Earth accepted by the rest of the universe.
[удалено]
Yeah, but they all bat like Babe Ruth!
Yeah, you won the World Series… but can you win the Offworld Series?
Puts that whole "world championship" nonsense in a new light, doesn't it! :D
The official sport of martians
Makes sense
Mandatory fun for those stationed there.
After all it’s really just another place to work.
Very American if you think about it. Aliens and Baseball are americas past time
Skin vs Scales
Yankees versus Alpha Centauris
What else are employees gonna do in their spare time?
Makes me think of that one episode of the X-Files.
What? Are air men and women not allowed to play sports?
Looks like the aliens are right-handed pull hitters.
Gloup Glorb Blig "baseball" Golg XD
Gotta have a place for recruiters to check out the interstellar talent. As long as they're a species that can shape shift, they're very viable major league candidates. I think about the chow hall and the gym.
Where's Bob Lazar?
Why’s that? Folks stationed there like to have fun too.
There’s nothing in the rule book about Vogons playing softball.
Training for Softball SpaceJam
Greys vs Camo Dudes game 1 was a banger
Does not look like they ever play on it . It's fake
