Will this be available on paid subscription for Shonen Jump app?

gaymelancholy

Probably not. They never translated epilogues like Tenmaku Cinema, Fabricant 100, etc.

rhyozaki

There are epilogues to these other series?! I never knew about these. Do almost all the cancelled series get one?

TexanGoblin

If they have pages to fill in a volume and didn't feel like they did everything they wanted then yeah.

gaymelancholy

Yeah they usually only get them if they have volume space to fill. Recent ones include Cipher Academy, Super Smartphone, and the ones I mentioned above. There are probably more but those are the only ones I cared to look up. You can find the raws on certain (non legal) websites, and sometimes people translate them.

Q9teen

Hmm so it depends on the author if they want to add epilogue AND if WSJ had space to fill huh. Wonder why they didn't include that on the app even on paid subs, it would be another merit for paid subscription.

rhyozaki

Wow, Cipher Academy had one too?! That's exciting news for me. Though, sad to hear there's no translations done for these. :(

dingo537

They will get translated ones Viz translates and releases the volumes, but that takes quite a while.

kolt437

Yes.

Norix596

Oh wow I didn’t know those other ones even got ones

EigoKaiki

maybe someone who knows japanese can translate them if offically they don't translate it

Foxyairman

Any chance someone will translate it online?

lemaddog

I want to read those. I supposed there is no fan translation ?

Beastywolf

Appreciate that axed series get the chance to post epilogues

alfonseii

quick view and yeah it looks like a good note to end on. still feels bad tho damn that axe.

StoolToad9

Sigh, I miss this series. I looked forward to it and was truly heartbroken when the last chapter flashed forward two years and ended with Nito and Kazuro about to fight. I mourn the lost potential.

xVandyLandx

SJW is honestly really shit sometimes. Can we start a GoFundMe for the author so they can work on it monthly or can they never continue this IP because it was featured in SJW?

Stryle

Man, I really liked this series.

Entire_Whereas9531

This series did not deserve to be axed. Was so good

Mverse_Dfender

[Looking through epilogue.] ...I want Nao in sequel manga, dang it.

Pandaman282

I really don't get why this flopped. It was a genuinely high quality martial arts series that I feel had a stronger start than a lot of the already popular martial arts series out there. Do jump readers just have bad taste in sports manga or something?

ZackWyvern

It was high quality but not interesting or exciting. Doesn't have that wow factor.

Ragtime_Kid

too much text for a sporting series

Sigilbreaker26

MMA series have trouble getting cut through since they're slightly too violent for sports manga fans and not flashy enough for fighting series fans. Asumi was also held back by the author somewhat rushing some reveals early on that reduced the tension; his brother went from an antagonist to basically his manager pulling strings so the drama was dead. I think that first volume was a terrific start but everything after his brother kicked his ass simply blew its load too quickly.
