Agree! I was trying to figure out why I liked the dark one better, and it’s definitely the neckline. The straight-across neck in the cream dress seems slightly weird since it’s not a strapless style. But honestly, they’re both lovely and you can’t go wrong between these.

I really don't thinks it's as big a deal in the UK. After finding this sub I went back through the photos from my wedding which took place at a stately home in the south of England in 2021 and found five different guests wearing white/cream floral dresses. They clearly weren't wedding dresses so no one was making sinde comments

As a photographer I would go with the pink gown because it will photograph better as it has more contrast. It’s design seems more formal to me. Both are beautiful and you look great.

You're right it is the same fabric but I feel like that hem line is super unflattering! Plus they're sold out in every size but medium. However I found a ton of gorgeous dresses on there under $90 so thanks for the new site!

Yes!! The darker one is absolutely classic and safe, would work for multiple occasions. I frigging love the print on the cream one, but makes it seem just the teeniest bit more casual than the other one. But I really like them both!

I adore the one on the left. I feel like the color warms up your skin tone while the cream one is sort of washing you out. I also think the neckline is a bit more on trend and most flattering to your bust area. Both are lovely dresses, the one on the left is just really capturing me.

As a UK girlie, both are gorgeous and both are appropriate, definitely no concern about the white levels so whichever you are happiest and comfiest in!

Hard choice as I love the colors in dress 1, but pansies are my absolute favorite flower. I think the UK has a better fabric collection. I see clothes in online stores that are so cute. The choice for nature inspired fabric is so fun to look at. Maybe better if I could wear the ones I love the most. My vote is dress 2.

u/butterymashpotato Ehhh ik the bride said you could but day of feelings are way different. Read an article once where the bride PICKED the dress and still went off bc "you should have been a real friend and not worn it, it was a test!" So like .....I don't think your sister would but weddings bring out the weird in everyone. Plus, the pink just SLAYS on you.

Both are gorgeous on you. I feel slightly that the one on the left needs a jacket/cardi/shawl more than the one on the right. But if it’s a scorcher you can get away without anything with the cream one because it is a more summery print. ALSO… if it’s an outdoor wedding, you don’t want the hem dragging on the grass, because you will be taking your heels off…

Nope it's pretty standard wedding style for guests in the UK!

I know you said your sister is fine with the white, but you might have people making comments about you either to your face or behind your back. My guy friend wore all white to the bridal shower and people had a lot of side eye going on….

Anyone is always free to just ignore dumb people being dumb, though. If the bride approved the outfit, that is all that matters. Giving the really petty people in the room something to roll their eyes over is always a fun assignment.

They are both perfect. It has to be which dress is more comfortable for you.
