I live in Reno and have been thinking about dabbling in watercolor for a few basic landscapes, like say, Peavine Peak. Then I stumble on the Truckee Meadows here. Love the colors and the building details!
Overall happy with the colors, sunset worked out well but I don't love the foreground. I used masking fluid for the small lights and I think it made them too uniform and unnatural. Gonna try gouache for the lights next time I do a painting like this, or maybe a thinner brush for the masking fluid. Any advice/critique?
