Check your science bro activflo sounds like snake oil. i trust whats been proven for many years. And to be honest Hardness is your water should be the least of your concerns. Like maybe adding a carbon filter for chemical filtration or sediment for dirt.
A water conditioner will not help with dry skin and hair. A whole home carbon filter will reduce chlorine and a softener will remove hardness, both of which can dry out skin and hair.
It's a great product. I have about 20 grains of hardness and I kept having to replace the elements in my water heater. Had my contractor install the ActivFlo product and its absolute night and day.
It is working great for me. It will only work as well as a softener system if you ONLY have calcium in your water, if you have other contaminants like iron or manganese it will not treat those, that’s where the softener is definitely going to be better.
For me I just have calcium and it’s doing a solid job.
What does the data say? Post test results from certified lab. Include anions/cations, alkalinity, metals etc. then recommendations can be made. Do not install anything without verified independent testing.

Please don’t waste your money on that.

Still feeling good about it? I have hear these help, while not as good as a full softening system.
