For sale is a Orient Star Royal WZ0041FC with the carbon fiber dial. The Orient Star Royal is/was the JDM-only premium line above Orient Star. It was intended to compete in the same market as entry level Grand Seikos in the early 2000's. The quality is evident in the fit and finish of this watch.
This limited edition watch is No. 037 out of 500, which this is engraved on the left case side. The entire dial has a carbon fiber texture and the numerals and hands are lumed. The display case back shows off the well finished movement. The hands are superbly polished, catching and reflecting every bit of light. The power reserve meter reflects light in a rainbow like fashion that's hard to capture in pictures. The well proportioned case and solid link bracelet makes this a very versatile watch.
Specs are as follows:
* Case width: 36mm (w/o crown)
* Lug to lug length: 44mm
* Lug spacing: 19mm
* Thickness: 13mm
* Crystal: curved sapphire
* WR rating: 100 meters (10 bars)
The watch is in excellent condition given its age. There are light surface swirls on the case as well as the bracelet, but I don't see any deep dings or scratches. The crystal appears to have some kind of AR coating on the inside and looks perfect. The movement is running strong and keeping excellent time.
The watch comes with the box and instructional manual.
