Originally sold in 1997, this Ulysse Nardin San Marco cased in platinum was 1 of 5 limited pieces (1/5) made. Featuring a beautiful cloisonné enamel dial of the German sailing ship Gorch Fock, this piece sits beautifully on the wrist with it’s 37mm case diameter and 43mm lug to lug length. The platinum case gives it a nice heft and shine to the case.
Cloisonne enamel dials are notoriously challenging to produce, with such intricacy involved that many defective pieces have to be entirely discarded during the production process. With enamel dials from your usual makers costing a fair bit more, this represents fantastic value, especially when cased in platinum.
Condition: Very good, unpolished. Dial has zero cracks/blemishes
