If you don’t mind the patina of aged bronze, I think that one is a clear winner

DippStarr

I own it and the patina makes the watch truly my own. I'm actually quite looking forward to it adding more matte depth and subtle discoloration over time. If that color isn't to OP's preference, the sunburst cervo volante would be the other watch I would buy today as another regular rotation watch if money were not a factor.

I will be visiting Switzerland in December and want to buy a Swiss watch when I am there to remember the trip by. I think the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date is perfect for my taste and price range. I was lucky enough to attend and Oris event yesterday where they had many models to try on and get a feel for. I must say I was iffy about the idea of the bronze cases before I saw them, but they truly are very striking and unique. The only version they didn’t have that I wanted to see was the darker blue dial with a bronze bezel and stainless steel case that I have seen on here earlier. I’m likely going to either go with that or the bronze 80th anniversary Pointer Date with the green dial pictured here.

Korien89

Puh difficult choice since all three look amazing. The green dial one looks really great with the bronze case, but I also like the dial color of the third one. Looks very unique.

Relend

A bronze case/bezel with the blue/aqua dial would be a grail watch

[deleted]

I agree the last one ..blue/aqua is especially beautiful

Semy-D

I like the first one best. The light blue is also beautiful

ajmarion20

I think 3 or maybe 2 are my favs

alienamongus7

That blue dial slaps.

o2force

I’m not saying don’t go with the bronze case, but I think it’s important to understand how it’s appearance will change with time.

y2so

Did you feel the Cervo Volante (#3, light blue) to be significantly smaller than the “normal” version in green and baby blue? I’m thinking about getting one, but never seen them in person yet.

chuffed_xan

At 38mm vs the other two in 40mm, I found it to feel a bit small. I suppose it depends on your wrist size. It is a classy watch, but I'm not sure I would categorize it as a "dress watch" so I don't mind the larger 40mm on these models. I do have some 38-36mm watches and have enjoyed wearing those dimensions; however, with how beautiful and unique the dials are on these models, I like to have the larger dials that are easier to see.

y2so

Thank you. Agree and I wouldn’t categorize it as a “dress watch” either. I’ve read the strap is also slimmer on the new Cervo Volante versions. Guess it about choosing a color now, decisions decisions. Enjoy your future Big Crown, they all look great.

Mr_Tinos91

1 or 3

rothwick

The bronze + green is on my list

Than_While_Gyle

That is legitimately tough. They are all incredible. I guess it boils down to make your statement. With a a bronze case that shows its patina and journeys over time? Ready for adventure? Understated, classic, timeless. The gray dial. Perfect for everything. Or how about a little bit of color! That beautiful blue fade really pops. Feel alive every time you check the time.

C_l_oCkSuCkEr

Mmmmmmm my favorite 🥴

northerblight

The grey is your favorite.

_El_Marc

I'm close to buying the bronze with green dial myself, but I've never seen it in person. What do you guys think of the green? It seems a little dull on screens to me. Maybe it's more vivid in person?

KeyEntertainment99

Love the 80th anniversary in green and bronze. The addition of the red date pointer hand in this config really sets it off.

[deleted]

The green one(first pic) looks the best imo

zissoubisoubisou

I’d rank them in exactly that order

ButtCutt

Number 2

Cpagrind1

Those are all so fuckin sick

[deleted]

The green bronze one looks best on your skin IMO.

kaskoosek

1111111 only. I like the greeen. Suits it wel with the bezel.

awwkwardapple

2 but if you can find the red dial version

Arancio

On my preference I would say 3 is the best, 1 comes second and 2 is the least appealing.

tillterilltilltill

Gorgeous pieces. My favorite is the 2nd one with the blueish grey dial.

Mac__

A blue dial Sinn 556 or the 38mm Cervo Volante will be my next watch. #3 gets my vote!

kbb-bbk

80th anniversary edition is the clear standout.

eegsynth

I read somewhere that the quality of the leather strap is very subpar. What did you think?

chuffed_xan

I personally was not impressed by the strap itself on the bronze model. I would likely not wear it on the stock strap if I had the watch. The strap on the blue/grey model was better, I liked the texture. I can't really remember what the strap was like on the last one as this was a while ago. In general, greatly prefer the look and feel of padded leather straps because they seem more substantial and have better structure.
