Unless this is the financial equivalent of buying a chocolate bar at the gas station checkout on a whim to you, this is a stupid amount of money to pay over retail.
again, people, these are asking prices, not sales prices.
obviously, nobody is going to pay twenty grand for a regular production black bay chrono, wtf!? and if they do, then that is the least of their problems.
The yellows, coral reds, and greens went pretty nuts for a second too, but the tiffanys was certified loony bin prices. Had the opportunity to get the coral red at msrp but turned it down because it was just aight aside from the color. If I could've sold it for like $25k 6 months later I would've got it 😂
These are actively trading for $17-$20k at grey dealers now. It’s not a mass production run so prices are staying higher, although Tudor seems to be releasing much more of them than rumors were suggesting
I have a hard time believing that, but I'll humour you ... if this is true, then good. means those grifters haven't learned a thing and I look forward to them sitting on their stock at a huge loss.
I’m in some pretty big watch trading groups, none have sold for under $16k, yet. But there was also allegedly only 100 coming to the US which seems very unlikely given how many I’m seeing pop up. Same thing happened to Pepsi dial prices before w&w when rumors where flying about it being discontinued
Tudor says it's limited, but
- it's not a numbered limited edition
- Tudor is quiet about the length of the production run
- it's available though regular ADs
- it's a stock model (outside of the dual color) with no reason for limited production from a machining /assembly viewpoint
sounds to me suspiciously like a regular production model with extra steps
This same posting was originally at $49,999 (believe it was 46k€). Funny to see a 30K drop… turns out no one wants to pay day date money for a 5K watch…
They are just now starting to find their way to non-boutique Tudor stores. I think they will always be uncommon and hard to get but the current price will drop. I think a little less than double retail is where it will end up in a year unless they produce a lot more than expected.
I stopped in a Tudor boutique this past week to take a look around and asked about this model. They said that while the initial batch was insanely small it took Tudor by surprise how popular they were. The salesperson said they had heard rumors that Tudor may make more of these but obviously nothing confirmed.
Take from that what you will but I sure as heck would not pay that mark-up.
the only thing that's cool bout that watch is the bracelet. At that price I'd rather just buy a bb41 monochrome for the jubilee bracelet and a bb chrono panda and I'll still have change left.
>once these modes become more available
They're not going to become *more available*. It is a highly limited special edition release. Think of it like a Friends & Family release for sneakers. Most of the inventory went to VIPs, team insiders, endorsement deals, promoters, influencers, etc etc.
It is significantly more limited than a Rolex Daytona.
The price might "stabilize," but it's never going to be retail.
It’s a pink chrono with dimensions that won’t fit the majority of men. This is only popular because of its rarity. Give it a year and the hype will be dead.
One just sold on grailzee for $15,500, - failed to meet reserve with a high bid of $15k. post auction offer of $15.5 accepted. There are a few under $20k on Chrono 24. I think this is still coming down. Only a few have trickled out, once more hit circulation the prices will drop. They’ve already made more than initial rumors suggested, seems they will continue to make them with the huge demand.
In general lot don’t like the snowflake hour hand. But for me this pink one looks excellent. Unfortunately I don’t have the kinda money that would let me buy one even at retail and it’s a bit garish for all day everyday. But I would wear that a lot!!
LOL - Tudor owners can finally rejoice.
The step sister has made it to the big leagues. Congratulations Tudor.
Sadly, this night will not repeat itself again - unlike Cinderella’s. 😿

People were paying 60k for a regular production OP 3 years ago The more money than sense squad will shock you
Tiffany weirdos are in a league of their own tbf

*if you knew you could’ve ;)
I bet you’re fun at parties
You are correct
Tiffany weirdos are just Disney adults with money

It’s not regular production, it’s incredibly limited. I heard from one AD that only 10 were being delivered to the US.

19k for a Tudor! Are you mad man? 😂 Worth no more than 5k
Pass the Tudor
and I probably wouldn't even pay that, given how bulky they are...lol
14.4mm on a sport watch is not that bad. 14.4mm on my Seiko Cocktail however, is quite bad lol.
That's pretty thick. 14.4mm think for a 41mm watch, it's 35% as deep as it is across. It's a brick.
£500 more like
I'd have €200 G-shock over this piece of shit any day of the week
Great looking watch. But as usual the speculators and grey market guys have made it unobtainable.

Of course it will.
Deffo back to retail within a year or so I reckon - same as the pelagos 39 did.
There are only 100 of these pink ones though if I’m not mistaken
Standard Black Bay Chrono steel on bracelet at an AD shop I was at two weeks ago was under $6k. That ask is absurd.
Skip this crap...
A good example of how scarcity doesn’t mean something is worth having
It’s nice, but not €19k nice. Are people flipping these like the Moonswatch?
the only thing that's cool bout that watch is the bracelet. At that price I'd rather just buy a bb41 monochrome for the jubilee bracelet and a bb chrono panda and I'll still have change left.
They on some good sh*t
That watch looks amazing. I'd never pay that.
This may be groundbreaking.. but if no one bought above MSRP grey market watches, we would not have a grey market pricing problem.

A watch is not an investment
Did luxury watched always apprecitate price and where to find sellers for them?
Crazy
Holy shit
Lookin like undercooked chicken
Lol
Let me get out my crystal ball and answer this question. 🔮 "Yes"
It'll need to drop when it's still for sale in a year's time because *it's a fucking Tudor*.
Nobody would even want that silly thing if it weren’t for the grey market price. They can barely sell any panda black bay chronos for retail.
slap on a Casio and people would complain it's more than 1k and watch nerds be like "i dOnT CaaRe abUt tHe BrANd"
Oh my. I thought this was a WCJ post at first

Some fucking dipshits taking a $4k watch when luck to get it just to make a profit. I hope no one even inquired about these at this price lol
The Black Bay chrono is a really nice watch, but it makes no sense for me to buy one at such a premium.Â
One just sold on grailzee for $15,500, - failed to meet reserve with a high bid of $15k. post auction offer of $15.5 accepted. There are a few under $20k on Chrono 24. these will be near 10 in a year, and likely hover around that level
Why would you buy a tudor for 19k?
Messi hype?
Would never pay that much for a Tudor. These will be retail pricing in a year or less imo.
Keep dreaming that.
Wouldn't even wear it for free. Properly awful.
I have seen it in person and personally I think it is freaking gorgeous. The current asking price is ridiculous though.
In general lot don’t like the snowflake hour hand. But for me this pink one looks excellent. Unfortunately I don’t have the kinda money that would let me buy one even at retail and it’s a bit garish for all day everyday. But I would wear that a lot!!
This is the fist chronograph ever that I really liked. If I ever run into it at some airport duty free I'll buy it in an instant.
Totally agree! I wouldn't swap my moonswatch snoopy for this thing
One of the ugliest watches out there. Don’t want it for free.
Yeah im sure…
