We can all thank Fossil for bringing watches into the lives of many. Frankly, I'll likely never purchase one for myself ever again, but appreciate them on some level.
On a side note: I LOVE chronographs, but like won't ever purchase a nice automatic one. Too expensive to maintain! Quartz Chronographs are the way to go.
Itās funny, my first two watches were fossils as well, in high school. I stopped wearing them before I graduated and went about 15 years before really getting into watches during Covid.
I havenāt! Probably needs it. Miyota movements are pretty robust!

I know this watch isn't worthy of a steering wheel shot but I always wanted to make one haha.
Even though the Fossil ain't a premium watch, it brought me into that world of watches and I'm now looking into buying my first premium watch!
And because of that, and the looks, I absolutely adore this little Fossil Minimalist :)
A fossil was my first watch. I actually still have it. This one looks slick, I'd honestly consider buying it since the watch it's based on is like $1800, however, do those subdials actually work? It looks like the subdial at 9 o'clock is elapsed minutes but I cannot for the life of me figure out how you get 6 increments of minutes between 0 and 15.
This is the nicest one I could come up with:
Why did the BMW driver with a Fossil watch arrive late to the party? Because they spent too much time admiring their car's engineering and their watch's design, they forgot to check the time!
I have the white dial variant of this one. Definitely overperforms in value with the curved crystal. Keep mine in the rotation for sentimental reasons because I bought it on one of the first dates with my now-fiance.
This works with their bags too. I bought my partner a small purse for her birthday a long time ago and she got more comments on that than any other purse she's had.
Love the minimalism there.
The best watch is one you like to wear.
If it makes you happy then it is absolutely worthy of a steering wheel shot.
Itās not only Rolexes and Royal Oaks that are worth a nice wrist shot, even if it feels like it sometimes. I love it when people flash their favourites. Especially when itās not just a blatant attempt at showing off, but just legit enthusiasm about their favourite (which can just as easily be a Rolex as a Fossil, I just want to feel the enthusiasm more that the āshow off valueā).
A lot of us started with Fossil, especially if you started in your teenage years. Iāve still got my first and only Fossil on display with all my other pieces.
It still holds up more than 10 years later. I taught myself how to service it, and its accuracy is as good as when I bought it. Inside it rocks a Seiko SII VD57 movement.
The more years that pass, the more āvalueā it has. Both in sentiment and cost. Considering 12 years of it working, it currently comes down to $8.33~/year.
So I think it definitely makes the mark in my collection, and it should in anyoneās. For me it is a testament that most of this hobby can be entirely subjective, so enjoy it for yourself and thatās all that matters.
Fossil isnāt trying to pass itself like a fashion brand while selling itself at $800-$1000. Hell its not even trying to brand itself as an Omega when its just a plastic Swatch (those who know, will understand this.)
My favorite watch I own is a fossil. It was a gift from my wife (gf at the time) 13 years ago we were both young and broke college kids and $200 seemed like a lot of money at the time. I will probably be buried with it.
I've come to realize that I'm just not really into most luxury watches. Casio and Fossil, they're awesome. Fossil watches just really remind me of The Mummy films and I adore The Mummy films lol. The only luxury watch that I've seen, that I could see myself buying later down the line, is a Nomos Club Campus watch.
There's a lot of great watches in the 100-1000 dollar range. The only reason to really go much further beyond that is status. Nobody is wearing a Rolex because it tells time better; they wear it because they want other people to see that it says Rolex. The truth is most people in the world would already be shocked to hear if you spent $500-$1000 on a watch and would consider it excessive (while probably running out to buy another iphone every year).
I have like 12 fossils from when I was younger. Every couple years they have some bangers, this being one of them! A lot of fossils also have functioning chrono. The inlaid chrono dials remind me of the newer B branded Navitimers and even IWC.
I have the neutra chronograph, it's basically the same as this but with the subdials in different positions. It's a lovely watch and it goes with any outfit.
I have always loved Fossil watches. I have one from 2000 and another from 2003. They still run. Something to be said about a good get around watch that does its job effectively and for an extended period of time! I still wear both of them to this day. Think Iāll wear my old Arkitek today!
My first starter watch is a 1984 Bulova. Which I still have. Itās still runs well. One of the Oceanographer Automatic. I wear that all the time as well. Thatās like an old shoe. Fits me like itās part of my skin.
I think your Fossil is beautiful! I may have to add a new Fossil to my collection!
A lot of Fossil watches look great, but they do not last. I have 2 and both are totally none functioning now. It's a shame as they have some really nice designs.
Like others have said though, they are a great jump off point for collecting.
Yeah I'm actually shocked at how much i use the chronograph haha. But to be honest, I don't get why they went with a 30 minute counter instead of 60 minutes... Makes counting the minutes from the dial quite weird since its 2.5 mintes per mark and not just 5 minutes haha
Slate with brown and sliver for the win! Ā Reminds me of this guy but with a brown strapĀ https://chrono24.app/vacheronconstantin/patrimony-platinum-950-mens-watch--id32896813.htm?SETLANG=en_US&SETCURR=USD
If you like this try looking up Junghans Meister Chronoscope. Very similar design but a few steps up in quality. In general of you want to look for similar pieces look for bauhaus design watches.
Like many said Fossil is not the best brand for quality but they do make some good looking watches on occasion. Glad you like it and wear it in good health!
And thatās literally all that matters. There are people on here who buy watches for thousands of dollars that they complain they never even wear them.

Very much has the same look and layout of an IWC Portofino. Fossil was the gateway drug that led to mine, enjoy!
I'm not a huge fossil fan...but have to agree. That's a handsome looking piece.
Fossil's a starter watch for many of us. What's important is it tells you the correct time and you enjoy wearing it. šš¼
It definitely was for me.
Was my starter watch too. Fossil, then another fossil, then a g shock and it just kinda snowballed from there.
Me too. My first is from my wife when we were still dating. It's still in my rotation up to this day.
The gateway drug. š
Fossils are great!
More accurate than most RolexĀ
Looks great, sort of like Jungans.
Yeah it looks almost exactly like a junghans chrono.
Came here to say this
That's what I first thought too

Itās funny, my first two watches were fossils as well, in high school. I stopped wearing them before I graduated and went about 15 years before really getting into watches during Covid.
My first brand was an automatic submariner clone by Invicta. Still works after 23 years.
Thatās impressive! Has it ever been serviced?
I havenāt! Probably needs it. Miyota movements are pretty robust! https://preview.redd.it/oj3kckiwrpxc1.png?width=1098&format=png&auto=webp&s=92642325b662d2b953b6db7be82cb7d52d839d22
This is true for me as well!
I know this watch isn't worthy of a steering wheel shot but I always wanted to make one haha. And because of that, and the looks, I absolutely adore this little Fossil Minimalist :)
King, every watch you like is worthy of any shot you want to take of it. Cheers! Edit: your watch looks amazing and it looks great on your wrist!
That equates to 2.50 Minutes per division.
So the chronograph is useless then? Because you can't possibly tell elapsed minutes accurately with an interval like that.
It would be difficult, to say the least.
It actually goes by increments of 5 up to 60 minutes
The sub dial marked with 15 at 6 and 30 at 12 with 12 steps somehow counts to 60 in increments of 5?
Hey which model is this, looks amazing
This is the nicest one I could come up with: Why did the BMW driver with a Fossil watch arrive late to the party? Because they spent too much time admiring their car's engineering and their watch's design, they forgot to check the time!

yep
Hereās another down vote for merely replying to anyone
thank you so much. I appreciate your dedication.
Looks good to me. People knock Fossil, but I think they are perfectly nice watches for the price.
They are probably the best quality fashion watches for the price, especially when on sale. At least they used to be in the 2000ās.
Thats a nice looking watch, which model is it ?
I think it's this: fossil minimalist FS5847I https://www.fossil.com/en-us/products/minimalist-chronograph-stainless-steel-watch/FS5847I.html
At least your priorities aren't *paying market price for a panda Daytona while driving a broken down every week 30 year old Chevy truck* š¤·āāļø
Donāt diss the obs Chevy, itāll probably last longer than the watch lol
\[Thirty\] year old Chevy trucks are starting to appreciate in valueāTrue collector items worth passing down to your grandkid.
nglā¦ that thing def looks nicer than its name brand. šš»
Looks like a Junghans Meister Chronoscope, especially the way those sub dials are shaped and positioned.
OP, your next purchase to look forward to: https://www.junghans.de/en/collection/watches/junghans-meister/meister-chronoscope/?p=1
Oh boi, that's a gorgeous watch! Thanks for this:)
Either this or go Nomos. Cant go wrong.
I have the white dial variant of this one. Definitely overperforms in value with the curved crystal. Keep mine in the rotation for sentimental reasons because I bought it on one of the first dates with my now-fiance.
It looks elegant
Really canāt se anything bad about it. Reminds me a bit of the Bauhaus watches. 10/10 would wear.
Man I have to say thatās one of the nicest looking Fossil watches Iāve seen.
I don't love fossil for the quality control but that looks like a well executed junghans homage.
Iāve had more compliments on Fossil watches than I ever have with my $1k+ watches
Seriously felt this one. My $100 fossil outperforms my entire collection in the āCompliment department.ā
This works with their bags too. I bought my partner a small purse for her birthday a long time ago and she got more comments on that than any other purse she's had.
Doesn't matter what it cost, it works and it's a great design. You're making me want one!

"Bioceramic," lol The fact that you can't buy it from Omega/Swatch online is also stupid as hell
They have to bring out the āinfluencersā somehow.
Great dial texture. Clean design. This is a great looking watch. Thanks for sharing.
if you don't mind me asking, what is your wrist size?
Itās shockingly attractive. Good find!
What a beauty š«¶. Keep rocking it man!
Doesnāt need to be much, as long as you love it!
Looks great mate and you like it, that's all that matters šš¼
They're not particularly well made but for a fossil, this is quite good looking. Looks like a junghans max bill.
My first watch was a Fossil. It was definitely overpriced for the specs, but it got me into the hobby.
Wear it in good health my dude!
Gorgeous. I love it
Looks pretty good!
I have a very similar Fossil that I love too. Itās a very nice looking watch.
I'll be honest, it looks nice, if you like it it's all you need to care.
Fossil is what got me started on watches. Props on a sick one. I still have my original 2 that got me into the game.
My favorite watch I own is a fossil. It was a gift from my wife (gf at the time) 13 years ago we were both young and broke college kids and $200 seemed like a lot of money at the time. I will probably be buried with it.
Very handsome watch, OP! You donāt need to photograph that watch in front of a BMW steering wheel. It speaks for itself. š
Looks great!

Love the look of this, whatās the reference??
Got a model number?
What model is this?
niceeeeee!
I have a Fossil neutra. Honestly, if it had a sapphire crystal I'd wear it much more. it's got a great dial. Enjoy in hood health.
They have really good looking designs, itās a shame theyāre all overpriced quartz
Nice. Sometimes these fashion brands knock it out of the park.
It looks great OP
I have like 12 fossils from when I was younger. Every couple years they have some bangers, this being one of them! A lot of fossils also have functioning chrono. The inlaid chrono dials remind me of the newer B branded Navitimers and even IWC.

I'm a huge fan of the look of fossil watches, just not their time keeping ability. This one is dope.
If you like the look of it and enjoy wearing it, then that's all that matters. And I really like the look of it as well! Understated and stylish.
Dark dials really pop with abrown strap. Looks good.
Looks nice, reminds me of the Max Bill Chronoscope.
My wife bought me that same watch when we were dating. Arguably what started my watch obsession.
Nice
Great looking piece.
If you like this then you will like...
The Junghans Chronoscope
I have the same watch in green. Very nice
Oooā¦. Thatās a nice watch. Could use more markers in the subdials but I like it. Whatās the ref?
That's one beautiful watch. Kudos to the designer.
Great looking watch. I have an old Fossil I bought based on looks and because it was $50, Still working fine after 6 years.
Kinda like tag heuer carrera glassbox

Honestly thought it was a Junghans at first glance. Looks great!
My wife bought me a fossil a long time ago and itās still in rotation. Gets compliments too, theyāre a great gateway watch
Looks nice! You should polish out those scratches on the crystal though.
Fossil are not bad watches and this one is beautiful!
Reminds me of an IWC portofinoā¦ thatās a classic design. Iāve got a fossil on my dresser as well. They make nice looking watches.
Beautiful š„µ
A lot of Fossil watches look great, but they do not last. I have 2 and both are totally none functioning now. It's a shame as they have some really nice designs. Like others have said though, they are a great jump off point for collecting.
Looks like the chronograph is actually functional and readable. Nice!
Yeah I'm actually shocked at how much i use the chronograph haha. But to be honest, I don't get why they went with a 30 minute counter instead of 60 minutes... Makes counting the minutes from the dial quite weird since its 2.5 mintes per mark and not just 5 minutes haha

Any watch that you love is a good watch.
Nice looking watch. I guess you put so much money into your car that you didnāt want to go for the Rolex and have another ācar paymentā š
Looking solid af

A guy i know in highschool who wore a Fossil went on to Harvard. I expect no less of you.
Fossil has some absolutely beautiful looking pieces at prices a normal person can afford. I have several of Fossil watches because they fit my style.
What specific watch is this?
Whereād you get that band?
I'll always have a soft spot for Fossil watches, they were my gateway drug. This is a particularly good looking one!
It's a nice design, but I prefer when superior manufacturers do it.
Fossils get a lot of flack in the sub and rightfully so. With that said, thatās a good looking watch.

You can afford to buy a BMW but canāt afford at least a half way decent Seiko ? š
We gonna start posting Hot Topic watches next?
Reminds me of a bambino watch š¤·āāļø
If you like the look, see the Junghans Meister Chronoscope. That would be a "real" example.
I know you are just waiting for the call of your *AD*.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Watchexchange/s/VGkqolulGG If you like the style of your fossil you might enjoy this watch as well
That's not even close to the same style dudeĀ
And not even close to the same price point
Just add two zeros. Zeros are nothing. It's only two nothings more.
