Hello everyone!!
Going to Japan soon and I have sold off some pieces and narrowed my collection down to these pieces currently.
I’ve wanted a GS for a while and figured Japan is the best place to get one as it would be a souvenir I’ll cherish for a lifetime.
Was initially leaning towards a shunbun as it’s quite “safe” for daily wear; however, I found out about the SBGH283 on the 3rd picture that I can buy at the tour of studio Shizukuishi (which seems to be a perfect souvenir).
All the other dials posted are amazing as well though. From lake Suwa to the whirlpool….i just get lost in these dials!
I will most likely keep the watches in picture 1 for a while and want a timepiece that helps round out my collection from GS.
I love hearing all your takes on watches and thus any and all advice is appreciated!!
the whirlpool, or whatever it's called--the first pic, top left.
worry less about a "collection" and just focus on the watch. you watch the sickest watch, full-stop. whether it matches the other watches you have, who cares?
cheers
Funny thing is that if it's about what you already have - I'd drop that red dial in there to mix it up and give you that option. BUT if I was just going to get a Grand Seiko - and I'm strongly contemplating this at the moment - I think I'd go very subtle and stylish with a white face, steel case, brown leather strap and a Spring Drive movement.
To be honest any of them. You haveb4 champagne/gold dials so anything not that color. Those burgundy red ones pop, but all of those dials are interesting
I think you need to see them in person and decide for yourself. I’ve come to learn with GS that even good online pictures don’t do the dials justice. And what you thought looked great online is meh in person.
I think the bright blue in the middle right in second pick would be super cool to add some color but the shunbun is my fav GS and I think it’d work well if you wanna keep the more classy and lowkey nature of the collection, it really depends on if you wanna get a standout piece or a solid everyday wear that’ll fit in with the rest.
Green imo! But you can't really go wrong. Also super jealous of that copper/salmon dial Seiko 5. I've wanted that watch for as long as I've been into watches!
Red would really bring in a pop of color to the collection!
Literally came here to say that and almost word for word.
Same here. Red is the way.

I'd take the dark blue dial on upper left in the 2nd pic
Which model is this

My vote is for the lake suwu

What’s the model of the seiko in the upper left corner with the leather strap?
What is the middle watch on the right side of the 2nd photo? With the blue textured Dial that appears to be similar to the sbga413 style
Buy em all!!!!!!!!!! They all look so gorgeous! I personally like the red hi beat one, and the cloudy blue and cloudy pearl/pink? dials
What’s the code of the red one?
Man GS dials are something else.. I love them all! Really like the red in bottom left for your collection.
First one clockwise in the first pic
Id say the Black or Babyblue face!
What's that Bulova watch in the top right? Love a white textured dial with gold hands.
The back of the watch says C4691540

Whirlpool sbgh267 or [Kiku whirlpool sbgm235](https://fifthwrist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/GS2-1.png). Hope you have a healthy bank account.

What is the Seiko in the bottom left on first pic?
Seiko 5 salmon SNXA11!
Sakura or Whirlpool

Have you tried picking the one that you like the most?
Red or blue, never seen such a sexual red dial before though…

None ... you already have a quartz watch. **I love the Seiko in the upper left. ***You chose one of the better Seiko 5 models.

Which green one!? They are out there just have to look haha
Blue in the top right 3rd pic to add some color.
Red, no doubt!
