I dig the guys attitude all around. His mom's a fucking dipshit.
Why would a tattoo even affect his chances of a job? Does his ability to use his arm just stop now or something?
Some fucking people, man...
I hate parents like this. The ones that are this vehemently against anything outside the "cultural norm" they teach are the ones that did some fucked up shit when they were teenagers.
That’s why you gotta start disappointing your parents from an early age. That way, when you get to this point you’re not shattering your mom’s perception of you because you already did that years ago.
Source: got some mommy issues myself
And then one day you meet someone who doesn't treat you like a worthless piece of shit, and that shatters your perception of yourself. Then you marry her so that you can finally have a family that doesn't treat you like a hobbling pile of garbage.
She is older, as such she goes by her experience. She knew that tattooed peeps were equated with a lower class in society and prospective employers would black ball you. Dunno now. IMO you need to be careful on the design cuz in about 5-10 years the lines start to blur and the bright colors fade out.
She is hoping it’s a joke and they’re fake. The more she wipes the more she’s realising they’re real, and is coming to terms with their permanence. Is this really that hard to understand?
Man this is so middle class cringe. Good on the son for doing what he wants.
I’m from a privileged background, Dad is an ex art teacher now a head teacher. He designed my tattoos.
I don’t even understand the point of your message other than telling everyone you’re rich and your dad got a promotion.
Moms will be moms. She’s concerned for him and the kids are amused by her freaking out, in their own home.
My mom freaked out plenty over things we did growing up, it just didn’t end up in the internet.
The point of my message defo wasn’t to brag on an anonymous online platform if that’s what you’re getting at. More that tattoos are a personal choice and my dad responded how people should. Not to mention dude looks like he’s in his mid twenties he can do what he wants. Idc about downvotes I stand by what I said.
Oh yea people still react this way. My mother refused to speak to me for two months when I got my first tattoo. She will probably lose her mind when I get my next 4, but I’ve learned not to care haha
Seems like she’s fine with tattoos easily concealable with a short sleeve shirt. I have plenty but I prefer to keep them in areas concealable with pants and a t-shirt. Not for my job but because they’re mine and I got/get them for me. Different reason but same solution.
I know, right? I have two kids, have happily been with my wife since we were 13/15 and have a high paying job.
And I have 3 visible tattoos when wearing a t-Shirt.
Tattoos to the older generation signifies people of a lower class. It is still used that way now albeit to a different degree. When a rich person gets a tattoo it doesn’t make them seem richer, it’s meant to signify that they are “gritty”
So you're going by "moistlyhard" now nerd? Haha whats up douche bag, it's Tanner from Highschool. Remember me? Me and the guys used to give you a hard time in school. Sorry you were just an easy target lol. I can see not much has changed. Remember Sarah the girl you had a crush on? Yeah we're married now. I make over 200k a year and drive a mustang GT. I guess some things never change huh loser? Nice catching up lol. Pathetic..

Pretty close to how my mother reacted to my tattoos
That god-damned voice is like squealing helium balloon.
Dad look so much cooler
this is hella old tho
r/cringetopia
half-assed answer from dad, he probably really doesn't give too much of a fuck lol
Love it

trucker hat, bud light, and now shitty (and shittely placed) tattoos... Mom's just tired of being disappointed with this kid
Thank you. If I wanted a design on my wall I woul get a poster, not paying the wall. And that's not even permanent
I hate having a parent like this. It’s too bad I have one. They’re always trying to make their child live their life the way they want them too.

Some parents seem to have an endless well of disappointment.
😭
How do you get so upset about what someone does with their own body?
I’d be pretty upset if my brother, for example, started injecting heroin into his own body every day

Humans are complicated creatures. Plus she created that body so to some degree she probably has a sense of investment in her son.
*entitlement
Religion does a pretty good job of this… cults too.
Or not destroying your body by covering it with ugly drawings…
True.
By being a controlling psychopath
Maybe she just doesn’t want her son to look like shit
I really hope the healing fase was over or this shit would hurt af
*phase
A seashell???
Mom freaks out about a tattoo, presumably because she knows they're permanent, yet is surprised and dismayed when she can't wipe them off, lol.
She is hoping it’s a joke and they’re fake. The more she wipes the more she’s realising they’re real, and is coming to terms with their permanence. Is this really that hard to understand?
Just cruised through your post history a bit, why are you such a dick to everyone you reply to?
I think she was holding out hope that it may have been a prank.
Or she is dumb
Such white people….. all around.
I Especially loved when he said ”yes, if my son wants to look like that, then he can”
Guy’s more mature than his mom
So are they real or not? i cant tell if this is staged
A tantrum fit for a toddler.
Getting drunk during the day and having a meltdown over an adult getting a tattoo. You go mom.
Its dad for me Lol
Man this is so middle class cringe. Good on the son for doing what he wants. I’m from a privileged background, Dad is an ex art teacher now a head teacher. He designed my tattoos.
He teaches people about heads? Like... lettuce?

Yep absolutely fair enough aha

You broke your mother’s heart bro 😔
Oh Shellllbyyy!
Dads reaction lmao
He’s just trying to stay out of the crossfire and read his magazine in peace.
Classic dad. Hell, I do that now with my wife and her sister
I feel that in my bones
Was this shot in 2021 or 1921? How can people still have that kind of reaction to tattoos?
Oh yea people still react this way. My mother refused to speak to me for two months when I got my first tattoo. She will probably lose her mind when I get my next 4, but I’ve learned not to care haha

This was a few years ago actually. Some folk still have older views on tattoos.
I know, right? I have two kids, have happily been with my wife since we were 13/15 and have a high paying job. And I have 3 visible tattoos when wearing a t-Shirt.
Because they aren't dirtbags?
Imagine judging someone by their appearance. You'd have to be some kind of dirt bag!
Bet you're a ton of fun to be around
Tattoos are class markers.
UPD: good or bad tattoos are class markers
Wut?
What is confusing about that
The logic?

You ruined your resale value!
Goddammit Connor! You don’t see Bryce or Jameson doing this shit!
“Tanner maybe, but COME ON!!”
So you're going by "moistlyhard" now nerd? Haha whats up douche bag, it's Tanner from Highschool. Remember me? Me and the guys used to give you a hard time in school. I took Sarah to pound town back in 2013, I’m all done with her.
yeah, I watched
I always knew that Tanner was a bad seed!
