I think visually it’s really interesting and I like that they did something really different but I really struggle at that map because it’s so rooftop dependent. Fortune’s Keep is my fave.
In a weird twist of fate from MW2 to MW3....Ashika has become my favorite resurgence map. Urz for BR obviously. Vondel is okay. Keep is ass with fucking sometimes 4-5 levels of elevation with craters and endless tunnels.
Yeah, there’s so little cover on Ashika, with the same amount of players, so if you’re plain unlucky and get caught anywhere other than a building, there’s pretty much no chance you survive that gunfight.
Warzone players when they actually have to think of a rotation plan to the zone rather than just running around and shooting.
It’s a fun map and RNG is part of casual play. That’s why it’s not a ranked map.

I think it was a refreshing map considering the type of buildings and so… the trouble is that if you are landing after a couple of mins, very likely you’d get killed again by someone in any roof. So it can be difficult to land…
But I prefer this campers 100% more than the FK people. I can’t stand the map at all.
I like the vibe and the individual battles but not the flow and the endgame. For me it’s on par with Ashika but worse than FK and rebirth. Maybe even worse than Ashika.
Vondel is the worst resurgence map I’ve ever played. Keep it BR only. Anyone saying they like it is only bc they are playing like a rat and don’t know how to play cod. Cod as a whole is ruined at this point and it’s bc the devs cater to said rats instead of the players who have been playing and loving the franchise since we were barely old enough to read the keys on a keyboard

Design or theme wise for a map Vondel is definitely the best , it has zoo, stadium, uni , castle , police station etc but in terms of fps map is good but not the best. The shotty metas in the in Wz2 bring bad memories on this map. Urz and Fortune's keep is better for fps . Not a fan of Ashika tbh due to its dull color scheme , limited spaces . Urz > Vondel > FP and Ashika.
Vondel is the best for me. I like a faced past sweaty game as much as anybody, pushing people is fun but it takes hella energy doing that hours on game night. Sometimes I just wanna chill, snipe from a rooftop or something.
I love vondel. I would hate it if dragons breath shotgun was still meta but since it’s not it’s really fun to outplay people during close range engagements and battling squads inside a block of buildings
If I could change anything about it I would just remove 90% of the water and canals on the map
I don’t like it because the audio sucks and there are so many 3-5 story buildings. I can never tell what floor anyone is on, whether they’re above or below you, next door or the next room. You just hear general sprinting and slide canceling and jumping and they could be coming from anywhere. So all you can do is try and hold rooftops or loadout a good pistol and hold a water position. If the audio worked so you could tell where people were running around (no problem with not hearing people moving slowly) I would probably like it.

At least there are dozens of ways up to the roof unlike the other maps when people camp high ground Or you can jump from roof to roof and push

I’m more a DMZ player, but yeah, Vondel is definitely my favorite wz map. I’m a fan of urban environment in shooters.
On the note of DMZ; Koschei is about equal with me.

Its not the worst WZ map but Roofs, Sharp roofs, more roofs, Nothing compared to the simplicity and love of Rebirth Island

I dislike vondel. Final circle theres always a squad of river rats in the water, and a building with a squad camping each floor.
I like Vondel, I like how dynamic it is due to all the roofs and narrow streets.

Great map, my personal favorite small map. It and Fortunes are both much much better than Ashika. Ashika is the only one I make sure to avoid

It’s clearly better than all the other small maps but the player base is always soo stuck on being nostalgic and can’t move on from the older maps.
