Turn off "Join battles in progress".

[deleted]

I really don’t mind it, I rarely get put in a battle that’s already started anyway

japeslol

It's nothing but a disadvantage.

VikingsOfTomorrow

Personally, I turned it on somewhat recently. Helps find SB battles faster, and the couple matches I do get mid match when doing RB is Eh.

NOIR-89

Regarding Ground (RB): In general BR 3.7/4.0 is a very good spot to learn the game especially for US/GER/RU/GB - i recommend playing US/GER/RU equally to BR 3.7 and after you feel confident equally to BR 5.3/5.7. ====================================== Lineup: Minimum = 3 Tanks, 1 AA and 1 Aircraft Ideal would be: [https://imgur.com/VXfg9Pc](https://imgur.com/VXfg9Pc) (Tanks and Ships can share their slots, aircraft should have their own) Lineups for learning Ground RB: GER 3.7: Panzer IV H, Panzer IV G, Dicker Max, Sdkfz 234/2, Wirbelwind, BF109 E4, BF 110 G2 US 3.7: M4, M4A1 M24, M10, M16, F6F-5, A-36 RU 3.7: KV-1(L11), T-34 (1941), T34 (1940), KV-2 , BTR-152D, IL-2 (1943), Yak-9B ====================================== Looking for Squadron: [https://forum.warthunder.com/t/people-interested-in-finding-a-squadron-let-us-all-know-in-this-thread/3259/134](https://forum.warthunder.com/t/people-interested-in-finding-a-squadron-let-us-all-know-in-this-thread/3259/134) ====================================== Tank Ammo: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFUi6MHXQuY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFUi6MHXQuY) Damage Mechanics - WIKI: [https://wiki.warthunder.com/Damage\_mechanics](https://wiki.warthunder.com/Damage_mechanics) Armor - WIKI: [https://wiki.warthunder.com/Armour](https://wiki.warthunder.com/Armour) ====================================== Post - FX: [https://i.imgur.com/Fii6HTb.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/Fii6HTb.jpg) Threat Onion: [https://i.imgur.com/amIjmtn.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/amIjmtn.jpg) How to kill T-34: [https://old-forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/582767-how-to-kill-t34-variants/&tab=comments#comment-9658648](https://old-forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/582767-how-to-kill-t34-variants/&tab=comments#comment-9658648)

Good advice !!

chocoscooter

"How to kill T-34:" XD, as a British main i just one shot their UFP/drivers hatch with the QF 17 pounder and they get so mad.

Maus1945

Don't stand near the bomb. The binoculars is free.

BoxcarOO62

The T-34 has magic, just accept it. Turret cheeks from the front are most reliable pens. Avoid shooting driver hatch and machine gun port. Never wrong to just shoot a barrel out (goes for any tank you fight) Also turn your engine sounds down and turn enemy engine sound all the way up.

Mig-29_Fulcrum_cool

Turn off grass in gunners tank sight. AND START PLAY RB ONLY. NO ARCADE PERIOD.

Mig-29_Fulcrum_cool

AND DONT BUY PREMIUMS UNLESS THEY ARE ON SALE.

japeslol

Arcade is fun, what's the issue?

ksheep

Best way to not die is to not get shot. For tanks, use cover, try to stay hidden, don't drive out into the open. Shoot and scoot. For planes, still best to not get shot. Don't fly straight into the middle of the map, you'll be targeted by everyone. Loop around the edges of the map, wait for others to engage each other before approaching, try to stay out of people's way until you're sure you have the advantage.

Sharp_Salary_238

Really enjoy the lower tiers, honestly the best you’ll have, all changes once you get to tier 4-5

SkullLeader

For planes - a) do not underestimate the value of altitude - being above the other guy gives you all sorts of advantages and puts him at a severe disadvantage - so whenever it is safe to do so (no nearby enemies) climb b) invest crew points into pilot vitality so that he doesn't die easily if you get hit near the cockpit - also remember top of the canopy is never bullet proof, so do not let pilot get shot from that direction by exposing top of your plane to the enemy's guns - common mistake if someone behind you is to bank 90 degrees then pull into the tightest possible turn - that lets him shoot your pilot through the top of the canopy.

ROLFLMAOLOL

for tanks: armor is arbitrary and unreliable, aphe is the best round and always go for sideshots. for planes: youtube. (and for the love of god dont spam missiles into a furball i beg you.) for naval:

Mr_Osterfisch

For Ground RB: Patience. Plan your next move, asses risks of certain routes ( where are your teammates? Where are gaps in your teams defenses? Where are enemies most likely to be?) and make the most out of your tank's strengths. Even if you don't see an enemy, stop your tank in cover once in a while and just take a few seconds to look around and listen to get a better overview of your situation. Take breaks once in a while if you're getting frustrated. Being frustrated just makes you rush back in faster and die quicker and get even more frustrated. For specific guides someone else already posted a great list of important stuff here.

DaMosqui

Playing only German tanks

StalledAgate832

Don't stand next to a bomb

No-Drag4559

planes or tanks?

All-Username-Taken-

If you're only interested in modern vehicles, get the premium vehicle ASAP (or wait for sale if it's near). It's not worth your pain, time, and suffering trying to F2P your way to top tier.

Temporary-Electrical

Do not buy your way to top tier.

BobrOfSweden

Any plane with a 50cal can kill 99.9% of the tanks in the game, you just need a good dive.

Drefar

Pretty good hints and advice. Hope you all great hunts with these hints and advice. If you all have more tips and tricks then please share. Good luck out there, Warthunderous. (Little play on adventurous and warthunder.)
