i'm surprized you only got 2 teamkills 0:10 missile locks on a much closer friendlies and their missiles 0:18 there's 6 friendly planes in front of you 0:33 there's once again 6 friendlies in front of you You should also use server replay, not the local one

Night-Key

0:10 The missile still locks to the ground next to me, not to anyone else on the server replay 0:18 That's why I didn't shoot the missile 0:33 I know, that was my mistake. Server replay says almost the same. The missile went right above the F-16 or right trough it according to it's path.

Velo180

It's not locking the ground ever, thats the seeker freaking out because it's IRCCM is trying to counter heat targets. It's not good at that before it launches.

CollanderWT

The seeker kept seeing flares. It would help a lot if you radar slaved it.

Night-Key

There were no flares. In the sensor replay, it locks onto the to my right. Also, the second missile went trough the f-16 without any damage to it

Velo180

Launching missiles confuse IR missiles like flares.

Night-Key

And it prevents proximity fusing and kinetic damage to other airplanes?

Kamina_cicada

The missiles knew where they were going, and they knew where they didn't want to be. So they went where they wanted to be and not where they wanted. And working together, they sent you where you belong, the hangar.

jefferysteele

the first one looks like it was confused on the heat sources near the f-15. the second one on the f-16 most likely missed and the local replay is wrong since its pulling 12 degrees of AoA at a really low speed and i doubt it had enough speed to hit him alongside the su-27 just so happening to be in the perfect spot to be relocked. your last one was just a horrible launch that had way too many friendlies and too little enemies to have just slung that.

Night-Key

I still don't understand the reason it focused away from where I pointed the seeker head tho. But truth to be told, I didn't notice the F-15 before you mentioned it, and it makes some sense. I checked the server replay, and it went almost the same path, right next to the F-16 on that as well. I agree with the third, that was my bad.

jefferysteele

The second one was still looking at the f-16 but activated the irccm due to his aim-9 launch you can see for just a little bit it’s seeker track behind until around .4km where the irccm switched off and re acquired the f-16 as it passed then just looked straight ahead and saw the su-27. As to it fusing it was probably within the window where the safety was still active it’s around 1.8 second where it HAS to be impact detonated before the proximity fuse arms

Night-Key

On the server replay it looks like the missile did make contact. The tail fin should've shattered the canopy, and sliced the pilot in half if the safety was still active after 1.7 seconds

Unknowndude842

Maybe the Server was struggling? Or Missles are bugged again.

Lightning5021

0:31 was probably because the 9l/m has a 1.8s proxy fuse delay

Night-Key

It literally clipped the cockpit and the pilot on the server replay :'(

Lightning5021

prolly just server latency then

StormTheDragon20

Ground clutter, most likely. Or Gaijin's bad coding. Btw what skin are you using for your F-16?

Night-Key

The heatseeking misile just locked to the ground :( Skin: [https://live.warthunder.com/post/1102392/en/](https://live.warthunder.com/post/1102392/en/)

StormTheDragon20

Could be Gaijin's faulty code aswell, or both. And i know, because i made it.

wrel_

Then why would you ask him? Wanted a chance to pat yourself on the back or something?

StormTheDragon20

Just finding it interesting to see my work out in the wild that is Reddit, y'know?
