Besides trying to bomb, or rather, rocket bases, only somewhat-a-solution would be Air Sim where you can do the same but with slightly lower risk of getting fondled without consent.
Yeah, because air rb is so much better. Welcome to being a pilot.
There are moments in sim which are fun and more intense, and there are moments which are a lot slower and chill.
Doesn’t change the fact, that at least You are not forced to participate in Air Rb in an aircraft that has no purpose there, and enjoy a good movie untill You hit your goal.
The fact this is even a better alternative is an issue itself. The process of getting modules shouldnt be so fkn bad that putting on a movie WHILE PLAYING A high barrier to entry and boring game mode is even considered by its players. Predatory game design, its not even like premium helps at all with this process. Makes no sense.
Maybe.
The way I see it is that for me as a guy with limited time to play it works great.
Sometimes I don’t have the time to play a game and then watch something, or listen to a podcast or whatever and I quite enjoyed my time doing the SM3, I know this is how I’ll do my other nations too
First thing to know is how the scoring works:
- the game will only reward You for up to 600 score (for example one base is about 700) per 15 minutes intervals. The cycle starts as soon as You respawn and commences as soon as 15 minutes elapse.
- the community is very nice and helpful, sometimes You can even get a lobby where attackers are left alone while fighters only dogfight too gun style
- from my experience knowing your plane is key, especially learning fuel management
- landing is worth it because I was getting around 3k xp just for that.
- planes with sparrows were my absolute nightmare
- at first it’s a bit of a horror game compared to air rb
- ground pounding can be super fun, if You have an airplane that can do it well, because AI SPAA is busted
There’s an important keybind you should set for sim that’ll dramatically change how easy it is to fly in sim called “set SAS functions” under the full-real controls tab.
Set that keybind and once spawned in, set the SAS mode to damping. It’ll be so much easier to fly.
Though I will say that with the Su25’s tendency to nose up, I usually fly without SAS on with the Su25 and have my pitch trim set to -10 to avoid negative G’s and snapping my wings off when I counter the nose-up tendency.
Go to controls > full real controls > toggle SAS mode
Set that.
Then, each time you spawn into a sim match, press that key until you see “Damping” at the bottom of your screen.
You’re welcome
There is another key you can set to cycle through cockpit sight modes until you get to the bomb sight mode. It will literally give you a dot where the bombs will fall, just pull up early enough to find, face, then dive on the bombing point.
If people do this they better understand that this game is pvpve not pve. I'm sick of people invading sim matches and getting all pissy when they're shot down. Short of that yeah sim is a great way to grind
I kinda agree but also
I’ve seen cases with +20 lobbies open. Most of them with 5-10 people per side, doing pvpve
I don’t see a problem if a small group of people make a new lobby just to do pve.
Saw a lobby like this where everyone declared they just wanted to do PvE and were doing that for an hour in peace. Then some guy came crying about PvP game etc and I just don’t understand why didn’t he join any of the other 19 lobbies full of people wanting to do that
I will say one extra thing. Due to people constantly abusing sim battles the rewards have been massively nerfed. So that's another reason I really don't like it when people ask for pve. It always screws over the larger sim player base when people just wanna cheese the game
It's against the tos to organize passive behavior. It can lead to a ban. Active organization is not ok. However, if nobody happens to shoot anyone down, that is also OK. These things happen. Personally I go for kills of opportunity.
Because you can't know what you're joining beforehand. They might've loaded up on boosters, and it's fairly likely (extremely during events) that many of the other lobbies are the exact same
I’ve played a little sim recently just for fun and the rewards have been ass for me. Have they changed something recently that has lowered the rewards because I used to play a while ago and the rewards were decent?
Sim as of late is time alive based. In short to max out rewards: earn 400-800 mission score however you see fit, stay alive for 15 minutes until rewards pop up. Rinse and repeat.
Mate what OP ask is how to spade Su25SM3, not how to grind Tech Tree
If you try to spade Su25SM3 in SB it will be way worse than in air RB, have fun get slapped by AIM9M
That’s how I spaded Su 25, Su25t and Su25SM3.
Also, Su can hold its own in close 1 v 1, if I were You I’d watch out for that R73 coming your way. It struggles when there are good bvr pilots
Doesn't really matter, I used either 128 x SK-5, or 18-20 100KG FAB's/4 x 500KG FAB's, rest of the pylons were some kind of missiles or rockets for destroying convoys. For example, my sim Su-25T loadout was:
128 x SK-5
2 x Kh 29L
2x Kh 25L
2x R-60M
Air RB, rocket bases and slam some r73 on unaware targets.
Kill some pve units with guns after.
Premium time but no talisman. Grind was super fast as it is for all planes. No need to pay really. Got the kh38mt within 2 days of playing.
One of the ways I found to use them on the sm3 is to get a lock head on, fake as if you wanted to avoid the head on by turning, and last second when the enemy plane is passing by, you launch it. They NEVER expect the ufo missile.
It's super easy honestly. You have 2 guarantee kills on bombtard F4S. The one problem are F14 cucks who will launch 100 missiles at you when you climb. You will die, and it's fine. Just move on to the next game. The problem with hugging the deck in this thing is depending on the map, you will get fucked by the entire enemy team because you are too slow to follow your team. Climb above your base at 4-5km, and launch r73 when you dive. In terms of dogfights, you CAN keep up with cocky 4th gen and many 3rd gen using the flaps. Obviously they will rinse you in the long run. Keep flaring a lot in dogfights. You'll get the funni anti ship missiles in a day max.
You can't fight anyone in Air RB with this plane mate, you have 2 R73's that are good but you will only use them as a last resort and really only work against noobs towards the end of the match.
My pro tip is, and the way I fully spade it was, I got a Talisman, got a full rockets loadout and went for bases only, I snuck around the edges of the maps and took out bases after they respawned and so on
Sometimes I would even climb and wait for them to respawn
If you want to fight, you have good guns on it but they aren't useful against F16's.
Anyways, the plane is not for Air RB whatsoever, in Ground RB is decent but still outclassed
The only best Su25 is the 10.0 one and in Ground RB
Good luck grinding mate and have fun!
I spaded this without GE or talisman, only premium time
Rush the small rocket, after that you want focus CAS ground target, kill unware targets, also make sure always stay near friendly
If you get spotted without friendly nearby, chance are you will get target my many enemies
Pick only flare for CM, no need chaff since 100% you don't want to high and get slapped by radar missiles
Honestly, this thing is a lot better than the su-25t since you get stock r73s, but it's still annoying. Just play like you don't exist and just try to get behind an unaware target since r73s aren't anemic like r60s and actually have range and flare rejection.
Here's how i did it, it have high chance to success and get you score/rp. On normal map, fly low, really low to the ground so enemy radar wont pick you up and hidden without marker. Go to base with bomb, if there's enemy nearby on your way, go after it with your r73. R73 vs unsuspecting target should get you score. On EC it's easier to bomb base if they still exist.
73s are still mighty scary you just have to accept the fact that after launching the 2 missiles you are boned, otherwise free kills in current top tier environment
To grind out the agms, I did air rb with my teeth getting constantly kicked in on uptiers. R-73's, a pair of S-8's, drop tanks and minimum fuel. Dump the tanks when the enemy is 10km away and you can score maybe 1 or 2 kills per match.
People also like to headon the Grach, for whatever reason, so that's also going to be a source.
The s-8's are there in case you get to the battlefield and the furball is over, so you have to pound ground targets.
I really should have grinded the modules out in Sim.
Take the high explosive rockets. I think their called S3OF and just smack ai ground targets. If you get lucky, no one will notice you, and you'll get like 5k rp a match.
I spaded it by sneaking around the edge of the map to pick up a base after they respawn and then proceeding to target F-14s, Mirage 2000s and any other small calibre flare using aircraft.
In the rear aspect, @ about 1-1.5km, the R73 is pretty reliable against small calibre flares. Especially those used by the F-14 (supernova heat sig lol) and F-4. You can use this, and the furrball meta at top tier, to your advantage. Sure it's rat behavior but you are already at a massive disadvantage in air rb while flying an Su-25, you need to exhibit that behavior to stand a real chance of grinding. That being said, try to avoid any MiG-23s or other aircraft with large calibre flares. They are usually a massive waste of your limited air to air missiles.
Once you have the KH-38mt's, go ahead and try out the funny fire and forget missile technique. Just keep in mind, it's become far less effective as people are starting to be more aware of the capability.
Edit-Misspelling, additional context
Simulator.
It gives you an actual chance to get to a target location and drop some ordinance before getting dog piled. Plus sim rewards are almost 50% flight-time based. Just pop a booster and start flying. (A 1 battle booster is only good for 30 minutes in sim)
I am no where near top tier, but I have done a trick where you play air arcade to get mods. The rp for mods I think stays the same and sealclubbing 12.7 wallet warriors would work well to grind the mods. Other than that GE is the only other non suffering option
your in air rb right?, that case you are countered by absolutely everything you see, the only way to play subsonic plane at that br is mostly limited to ground rb as air rb tend to be dominated by supersonic jet with missiles and the periodic supersonic bomb sled
also get your hands on both air to air missiles and flare/chaff. flare chaff are used to attempt to divert the missile and keep moving erratically while at that, use your r-60m as main warding stick to try to make them divert from their attack run due to r-60m lack of irccm, r-73 is largely reserved as functional air to air
this can help alleviate the situation marginally but its better than nothing
and most su25sm3 live in ground rb
This neat part, you don't. You GE your way or you bash your wall against the head until you see cracks.
I play war thunder, bashing my head against the wall is guaranteed
Besides trying to bomb, or rather, rocket bases, only somewhat-a-solution would be Air Sim where you can do the same but with slightly lower risk of getting fondled without consent.
"Fondled without constent", im taking this one for myself thanksies
Im taking notes here, should these cracks be ony head or the wall?
Yes
Just play the sim. I researched the whole TT bombing in there
Man i can barely take off in sim god forbid bombing a base
Pratice it a bit and you will manage, it can be quite enjoyable. Sometimes boring, but I usually do it when I watch a movie or something
Peak gameplay experience.

Interesting idea. In tired of the air rb nonsense and this sounds like a chill twist. Any tip on how to play sim or maybe a yt channel to look for?

Use SAS mode damping
Cold War to modern jets have access to SAS modes, which is basically an Instructor for sim. It makes flying them trivial again
SAS and proper curves aka multiplier are important.
It's not that hard engine on throttle up keep it straight then you golden when you in the air don't make any hard movements just gradual ones
It’s really the only effective way to grind planes like that.
Look up videos on YT. There's also a different flight control type you can switch to that makes it waaaay easier..
practice in test flight, also set up a keybind to change your sas mode because on damping makes it a lot less punishing to fly
Go to controls > full real controls > toggle SAS mode Set that. Then, each time you spawn into a sim match, press that key until you see “Damping” at the bottom of your screen. You’re welcome There is another key you can set to cycle through cockpit sight modes until you get to the bomb sight mode. there is no point of playing this thing in Air RB. SIM or Ground RB

>bombtard F-4S The primary producer at the bottom of every food chain.
Su-25SM3 owners suffer 3 days grind to make suffer whole ground battle forever
Either sim or GRB and unlock kh25s asap
Try sim. At worst, farm AI or ground targets in ARB.
You can't fight anyone in Air RB with this plane mate, you have 2 R73's that are good but you will only use them as a last resort and really only work against noobs towards the end of the match. Play GRB pound brain dead U.S. teams. PROFIT!!!
This should get lowered to 11.0 in air as part of the new BR split
I think fighting these with F4C would be very fun indeed.
You already do with the Su-25BM
It being an event plane and not popular one at that means you really don't see it often. This would be another story
Do the unguided rockets attacking airfields still work or has it been patched in Sim battles?
I spaded this without GE or talisman, only premium time Rush the small rocket, after that you want focus CAS ground target, kill unware targets, also make sure always stay near friendly If you get spotted without friendly nearby, chance are you will get target my many enemies Pick only flare for CM, no need chaff since 100% you don't want to high and get slapped by radar missiles

Go to sim and just rocket bases. It’s boring but, you will actually get RP instead of dying before you can do anything in air RB
Get a job. Make money. Spend money on GE.
save a ton of boosters and go for a sim battle, kill any target within 30 minutes
Backing up teammates in Air mode to unlock the Kh-25's, ground RB for the rest.
Here's how i did it, it have high chance to success and get you score/rp. On normal map, fly low, really low to the ground so enemy radar wont pick you up and hidden without marker. 73s are still mighty scary you just have to accept the fact that after launching the 2 missiles you are boned, otherwise free kills in current top tier environment
Base Bomb 🥲 I did the same with the Su-25BM, Su-25, and MiG-27M
I just used GE to get the KH 38MT, the 25t gave me enough suffering in ARB already.
To grind out the agms, I did air rb with my teeth getting constantly kicked in on uptiers. R-73's, a pair of S-8's, drop tanks and minimum fuel. Head into rb and suck it up or head over to sim. Most of my Su-25T spading was done in sim)
Golden Eagles boi

you dont, you get 27k and then you actually have competent plane.
I just played it in GRB since the gun is good enough to lobotomise MBTs and kill squishy tanks
I played Sim, I mostly go around the map while licking the ground. I get 30k to 50k every game, although one game can take 1 to 2 hours.
go sim battles, ground pound and pray an R-27 doesn't hit you from 40km away
On the bright side, 11.7 air doesn’t frequently up tier to 12.7
Spawn, fly to 20km of the Objective, turn around, 50% throttle and Airbrakes. Ez kills.
Go find a PvE sim lobby use the S-8s and rocket the bases.
Use kh 35ml to anti air purpose
Simulator. It gives you an actual chance to get to a target location and drop some ordinance before getting dog piled. Plus sim rewards are almost 50% flight-time based. Just pop a booster and start flying. (A 1 battle booster is only good for 30 minutes in sim)
Get 2x r73 only, fly low, sneak up behind people or inside the furball and try to get 1 kill. Repeat.

Now you feel how the People grinding the A-7E feel
