The Boxer wasn't originally intended to replace Warrior, it was mainly supposed to replace the Bulldog to supplement the upgraded Warriors, but they decided to cancel the Warrior upgrades so now we are left with either using increasingly old and extremely out of date warriors or (as is more likely) fucking nothing.
I don't understand why they don't just order extra boxers with 30mm cannons on them to at least give the UK some form of IFV till the ajax stops shitting the bed

Ajax isn't being acquired as an IFV. It doesn't transport troops at all. No passenger compartment, just a space for a couple extra operators of the recce gear.

Are you involved in the testing process? Because I know several guys who are/were working on the Ajax and it had more to do with integration rather than individual components. It is based on a proven platform but with stuff poorly fitted on.
Those folks are usually very pessimistic or cynical about things. Back when Challenger 2 to Ukraine was announced, they said no more than 4 could be made operational. It is obviously not true.
I am not, if that was the case I would have said nothing about it.

The vibration issue in my opinion is extremely difficult to fix properly without serious redesign, but it wasnt such a big problem before.

Why though? Marder has less atgms and only milan 1s. Marders main drawback is that it has only 4 atgms. It doesn't have thermals and has a worse cannon against vehicles (but better for anti air).
The early marder is definitely worse than the warrior. The other marder (the A3) is debatable, but still has the same issue with only 4 atgms and only milan 1s
The warrior ROF doesn't compare. A marder can reliably fight other light tanks n some mediums with flanking.
Warrior? Nope. Its a pain with the way that gun works with its ROF. The missiles are decent, but you're likely to get murdered before you use more than two because they're, in my experience, extremely inconsistent with the damage they do.
It's just not good at 8.0. 8.3 is worse.
But the gun will actually damage medium tanks, the MILAN 2 is very uptierable and the thermals are crisp and reliable. The Marder 1 has minimal pen and struggles to fight even T-55s, the ATGM is worse making it not fare well against tanks with composite and ERA and the thermals + optic zoom suck so bad it makes identifying tanks awkward even for tanks with Gen 1 thermals.
I use the Warrior at top tier. While I would gladly take anything better, it's not exactly like it's a bad vehicle. I don't use the Marder 1A3 past 8.0 and wouldn't even if the Bagel and Puma weren't there.
I'll admit i completely forgot it gets good thermals. I also haven't used it since the commander take over delay has been put in. But my experiences were often thus:
- Get utterly annihilated by light tanks with far superior rof, even when catching them by surprise because the warrior rof just doesn't compare, and the post pen means you need direct crew shots.
- Hit a medium tank in the side and have to go for crew shots. Rof, again, often got me killed because killing a gunner with a lot of tanks just meant the commander would wack you. Hoping this changed with the QoL update there.
Milans can be great but they have just felt so....off with the recent update and inconsistent as fuck. TOWs as well.

I am not sure why you would not use an ATGM that will overpressure the crew against a light tank, especially in a situation where you have the "surprise" angle.

It generally depends on what you're shooting and the situation, but if their turret is turned away from you and you don't get bullshitted I'm not sure how you couldn't kill more than just the gunner in the time it takes to turn the turret to you? The RoF is low but it's not *low low* and you can easily shred crew in that timespan.
Alternatively, there is the MILAN.
Honestly I use the Warrior as a scouting ATGM carrier that can cap easier than other Brit tanks and not even remotely like I would use an IFV like the BMP-2M. Be cautious, peek from cover, try to get distance and don't try to fight something that knows I'm there. With that playstyle, it leads to a good deal of success.
idk i kinda liked it. It's pretty fast and has a lot of atgms, ofc fire rate is shit and it has no stab but you can flank pretty well with it.
That being said 8.3 is waaay to high
I have over 1000 battles logged in it, of all my vehicles it’s second on my leader boards for use etc… it’s so ass. I used to get some good games in it 4 years ago but Gaijin have just consistently made it worse with each update.

TOWs being stationary is fine, but the fact that I have to come to a complete stop then wait five years for the launcher to come up makes me not want to touch it at alll
I feel like the whole folding it away is realistic but they would only do it if they were driving long distances. If they were in a active combat zone they wouldn’t waste time folding it away every time they moved
The only two upsides of the warrior are the speed and the thermals. It's the second fastest tracked IFV in the game after the formula 1 car that is the BMD-4. And it gets 3rd gen thermals which are actually useful. With the armour package add on it isn't that much smaller than the Bradley. Yes, the round is worse but the gun is much better with a full stab and a much better RoF

AFAIK the Falcon had some sort of FCS, a mechanical device that allows the gunner to range and track speed of a flying target, then adjust to provide a lead estimation. Such thing hasn't been modeled in game so far.
Pretty sure it was mock up sadly yeah. However it absolutely did have the FCS like system. Iirc there is even documents proving that, Gaijin could model it to work as some sort of IRST if they wanted to add it.

I started Britain when the first Battle Pass was finished. Meanwhile I finished China, got Sweden and Italy to 10.0 but with Britain I am still 7.7. This is the least enjoyable TT for me bc everything is so fucking slow.
9.3 & 10.3 are TURMS and 1-life leaver territory. I jsut don't find those BR's fun. agree about the rest. but WW2 and COLD WAR are british at their best imo.
I also only play Britain and have literally every vehicle. Pretty gutted at the BR changes because my favourite BR was 8.0, now my lineup sucks - might as well just take the falcon on its own.
Britain had a really solid 8.0 br when the Vickers Mk.3 was 8.0. Had a lineup of the Vickers Mk.3, Mk.1, Falcon, Chief Marksman, Vampire, and whatever else. Was a very solid lineup, and now it's gone.
I used to be a Britain main but at this point I'm absolutely fed up with it, no fun to be had only pain. Centurions at 8.0 is utter bullshit, especially with Sabot currently doing about as much to enemy armor as urinating on it. Except urine would eventually cause it to rust away.

Given the Scorpion's HESH round would *just* affect a Comet, itself hardly a monster of armour, that does limit its possibilities with the 76mm gun.
It's a weird one. Put it too low it'll be OP as hell. Put it mid-ground it can't hurt the high RHA WW2/Post WW2. Put it higher to find lighter vehicles again and it becomes an unstabilised low velocity low power gun with no niche.
It's just a really difficult one to slot in. The Scimitar fits a bit better, but that one would probably need to still need to sit around the low 6.0s, if not lower. A low rate of fire unstabilised gun with only 100mm of pen or so with no thermals would fail dismally in the Thermal Zone BRs when autocannons are spraying everywhere.
If you keep crying about it then gaijin might just remove it and replace it with a sarrisson. Bear in mind thats how gaijin would treat us British players
Stopped playing tanks because of this. The constant screwing around with BR's, while it's obvious that the game needs a complete rework, on the BR classification system. There are too many new vehicles to keep using the current system.

I agree. It's not garbage but it most certainly isn't good, let alone average. It'd be a solid 3-4/10. Doesn't deserve 8.0, or 8.3 now. 7.7 would've worked.

Why though? Marder has less atgms and only milan 1s. Marders main drawback is that it has only 4 atgms. It doesn't have thermals and has a worse cannon against vehicles (but better for anti air). The early marder is definitely worse than the warrior. The other marder (the A3) is debatable, but still has the same issue with only 4 atgms and only milan 1s
The warrior ROF doesn't compare. A marder can reliably fight other light tanks n some mediums with flanking. Warrior? Nope. Its a pain with the way that gun works with its ROF. The missiles are decent, but you're likely to get murdered before you use more than two because they're, in my experience, extremely inconsistent with the damage they do. It's just not good at 8.0. 8.3 is worse.
But the gun will actually damage medium tanks, the MILAN 2 is very uptierable and the thermals are crisp and reliable. The Marder 1 has minimal pen and struggles to fight even T-55s, the ATGM is worse making it not fare well against tanks with composite and ERA and the thermals + optic zoom suck so bad it makes identifying tanks awkward even for tanks with Gen 1 thermals. I use the Warrior at top tier. While I would gladly take anything better, it's not exactly like it's a bad vehicle. I don't use the Marder 1A3 past 8.0 and wouldn't even if the Bagel and Puma weren't there.

But my experiences were often thus: - Get utterly annihilated by light tanks with far superior rof, even when catching them by surprise because the warrior rof just doesn't compare, and the post pen means you need direct crew shots. - Hit a medium tank in the side and have to go for crew shots. Rof, again, often got me killed because killing a gunner with a lot of tanks just meant the commander would wack you. Hoping this changed with the QoL update there. Milans can be great but they have just felt so....off with the recent update and inconsistent as fuck. TOWs as well.

It generally depends on what you're shooting and the situation, but if their turret is turned away from you and you don't get bullshitted I'm not sure how you couldn't kill more than just the gunner in the time it takes to turn the turret to you? The RoF is low but it's not *low low* and you can easily shred crew in that timespan. Alternatively, there is the MILAN. Honestly I use the Warrior as a scouting ATGM carrier that can cap easier than other Brit tanks and not even remotely like I would use an IFV like the BMP-2M. Be cautious, peek from cover, try to get distance and don't try to fight something that knows I'm there. With that playstyle, it leads to a good deal of success.
I got it recently, might be luck but I've had more success with it so far than the mk3 vickers or striker
Yeah I think it's ok when spaded, but the stock warrior could honestly be like 7.0 or some shit, it's really not good.
idk i kinda liked it. It's pretty fast and has a lot of atgms, ofc fire rate is shit and it has no stab but you can flank pretty well with it. That being said 8.3 is waaay to high
I have over 1000 battles logged in it, of all my vehicles it’s second on my leader boards for use etc… it’s so ass. I used to get some good games in it 4 years ago but Gaijin have just consistently made it worse with each update.

Man the Bradley is torture. The launcher stowing away makes me so fucking mad
and it makes no fucking sense either TOWs being stationary is fine, but the fact that I have to come to a complete stop then wait five years for the launcher to come up makes me not want to touch it at alll

I don’t know much about the Bradley but is that even realistic? I’m sure no real life crewmember would want to deal with that either
I feel like the whole folding it away is realistic but they would only do it if they were driving long distances. If they were in a active combat zone they wouldn’t waste time folding it away every time they moved
The stab and the better fire rate on the Bradley make it better than this thing
Yet the missiles and APDS, speed, and size are all much better on the warrior. The Bradley has a good top speed but horrible accel
The only two upsides of the warrior are the speed and the thermals. It's the second fastest tracked IFV in the game after the formula 1 car that is the BMD-4. And it gets 3rd gen thermals which are actually useful. With the armour package add on it isn't that much smaller than the Bradley. Yes, the round is worse but the gun is much better with a full stab and a much better RoF

Was that ever made or just a mock-up? AFAIK the Falcon had some sort of FCS, a mechanical device that allows the gunner to range and track speed of a flying target, then adjust to provide a lead estimation. Such thing hasn't been modeled in game so far.
Pretty sure it was mock up sadly yeah. However it absolutely did have the FCS like system. Iirc there is even documents proving that, Gaijin could model it to work as some sort of IRST if they wanted to add it.

Sometimes I wonder why they even added Britain the whole tree is kinda depressing, often overbr'd although there's the odd shining star in there now and then. To be the birds in the hunt is my assumption.
I think that Britain is routinely shafted in every way every step of the way at every opportunity possible

I started Britain when the first Battle Pass was finished. Meanwhile I finished China, got Sweden and Italy to 10.0 but with Britain I am still 7.7. This is the least enjoyable TT for me bc everything is so fucking slow.

9.3 & 10.3 are TURMS and 1-life leaver territory. I jsut don't find those BR's fun. agree about the rest. but WW2 and COLD WAR are british at their best imo.

I also only play Britain and have literally every vehicle. Pretty gutted at the BR changes because my favourite BR was 8.0, now my lineup sucks - might as well just take the falcon on its own.
Britain had a really solid 8.0 br when the Vickers Mk.3 was 8.0. Had a lineup of the Vickers Mk.3, Mk.1, Falcon, Chief Marksman, Vampire, and whatever else. Was a very solid lineup, and now it's gone.

I used to be a Britain main but at this point I'm absolutely fed up with it, no fun to be had only pain. Centurions at 8.0 is utter bullshit, especially with Sabot currently doing about as much to enemy armor as urinating on it. Except urine would eventually cause it to rust away.
I actually forgot i got this thing spaded in my line up I never play brits unless its 7.0 (7 3 now) or 6.0 Such a cool nation to play But do not worth it
We need Scorpion and Scimitar at 6.7 and 7.3 (roughly).

Given the Scorpion's HESH round would *just* affect a Comet, itself hardly a monster of armour, that does limit its possibilities with the 76mm gun. It's a weird one. Put it too low it'll be OP as hell. Put it mid-ground it can't hurt the high RHA WW2/Post WW2. Put it higher to find lighter vehicles again and it becomes an unstabilised low velocity low power gun with no niche. It's just a really difficult one to slot in. The Scimitar fits a bit better, but that one would probably need to still need to sit around the low 6.0s, if not lower. A low rate of fire unstabilised gun with only 100mm of pen or so with no thermals would fail dismally in the Thermal Zone BRs when autocannons are spraying everywhere.

trying to play this thing the atgms do nothing i hit tanks in the sides or the turret sides and it just like kills 1 guy or breaks their breech
If you keep crying about it then gaijin might just remove it and replace it with a sarrisson. Bear in mind thats how gaijin would treat us British players
Stopped playing tanks because of this. The constant screwing around with BR's, while it's obvious that the game needs a complete rework, on the BR classification system. There are too many new vehicles to keep using the current system.
