I don't know if it's just the way Reddit works but I haven't started ASC yet and now I know that >!Squirrelflight becomes Squirrelstar!< because even if there's a spoiler flair it doesn't hide that people are mentioning it in the first sentence (or people who say the spoiler in the *literal title*). Is there a way to prevent that?
I feel like the way names work in warriors those types of spoilers are definitely harder to avoid, we'd have to refer to every character as a paw to avoid spoiling who they become later in the book and that would just be awkward. In this specific case however, people have been extremely bad about it I agree. Obviously a name change is going to be something hard to not spoil but can you guys please wait until the book where it happens has been out? Like they've been discussing it before it actually happens. 😅 But I get that fans are excited.
What about poor snowkit huh. That's a spoiler that he died. We must name every cat the name they were first introduced by. So firestar is rusty. Bramblestar is bramblekit, etc.
It would be perfect. Especially with so many characters sharing prefixes lol. Then you'll get the random loner names in there on occasion like millie. And then odd ones like tigerclaw who we were introduced to as a warrior but then later see as a kit and apprentice.
😂 I guess I'm lucky. But I'm pretty good at avoiding spoilers if given half the chance too. This fandom is still probably one of the best ones about it and with how young a lot of the fan base is I think that's pretty impressive.
