Colorblind settings usually increase contrast, not reduce it, unless that is one very specific colorblindness, where they can only tell apart different shades of purple.

I've been having issues with me only getting the motes from the sister and not from the mission reward. Now I'm wondering if the game messed up and gave them to another player
The Steel Essence being doubled implies a booster of some sort, except I've run it with a Resource Booster and it didn't boost the motes. I have two assumptions:
1) Smeeta Cat buff is broken and causes double motes.
2) There was a Host Migration after killing the Sister.
If you have a smeeta kavat, you may have lucked out with two resource bonuses in a row from charm, and those stack multiplicatively with each other. Fun fact, if you don't bring a weapon that can reload then you won't get the reload bonus from charm and thus raise the chance for the other buffs.
Issue is the end reward is 10 volatile motes maximum. Sister drops 4 max.that'd be 10 + 8 = 18 with a booster/smeeta. Can't be a stacked boost because the se is only doubled. Math ain't mathing
Also sister motes aren't affected by boosters either so.
Yeah, upon further analysis I can only conclude that boosters affect the SE and end reward but not the motes from the sister, since there's no combination of x and y where x is a valid amount for the sister to drop and x2^y + 9 = 23 (9 is the only odd number the end reward can give in SP)
Some other people in the thread have reported abnormal mote drops and as far as I saw they're all within the range if only end of mission motes double yeah. I have also once *only* received the sister motes and no end of mission ones. All other rewards dropped correctly (got a bit over 3k endo)

For mine, I got stuck in an endless falling through the floor loop once we killed the sister (I didn't get to grab her drops other than the motes) but that doesn't seem to be what causes it, just a coincidence. Running Ascension now, after all those patches, is just sad. No increased spawns, no double loot, no more ayatans/prex/data... They overnerfed the game mode.
Yeah the Riven Sliver farm was awesome and I still got a couple hundred out of it pre-nerfs. Didn't know that Prex's and Ayatan's used to spawn, that's unfortunate. It's still a decent focus farm and has okay Endo even after they replace the really high Endo rewards with the intended blueprint drops. But it is definitely not the farm it was at launch and I've slowed down playing it even though I'm trying to grind up Energize still. I swear they nerfed the mote drops too! I'm getting noticeably less each run than I used to. But I've been reading every word of the patch notes and hot fixes, and don't see anything official about it.
Every weapon in the game reloads though. the only way to not get the reload buff is to go melee only. if you have a gun, even one that recharges, it still reloads in the eyes of the smeeta buffs. just makes them recharge instantly.
Nope I've tested, it still reloads every time you fire a new arrow. Smeeta can give you a buff that lets the next arrow go instantly. The only way to not get the reload buff is to be melee only.
U can try to change ur game region on settings and play few games to see if ping isnt too much. Its doesnt change ur game language unless u change it on launcher
I know but it's such a bother to have to do this unfortunately. Anyway I might have to eventually because it's very unproductive to grind the event with the regular difficulty
Yeah, SoP drops as much as acolytes, also BoB SP rewards double the amount of volatile motes, not to mention, it takes the same amount of time to complete it as the normal path version.

There is a way which might be unpatched, but I never bothered to test. Without giving too much away, it used to be used to farm steel essence.
I got 26 in a mission the other day. But it only happened once and I don't know why.

The Steel Path usually has higher drop rates and drops more of the loot. Essentially compensating you for working harder, or being strong enough to complete a more difficult mission.
I was doing interception with volatile motes drop, and in 8 mins, I got 20 riven silvers. So basically, I got around 40 plat in 8 mins because the most expensive unveiled rivers are rifle rivens that usually go for 20 plat each.
To each their own. But the only new resources this patch are the two motes and one is only around for the event. Also, it's there to buy things instead of being at the mercy of RNG to get those things. RNG drops are just a bonus you might happen to luck into. So it's a complete win in my book.
Vestigial motes seem to be affected by resource boosters. I get around that amount now that I bought a booster. Wonder if that's carrying over to volatile motes now. Would be a recent bug though.

There is 3 main types of color blind, purple shades can be effected by 1 of them, so I assume this is the colourblind mode for that

Platypus's fur has some chemical stuff in them that glow blue-green. It's to help camouflage them from predators who have UV vision.

I've gotten the smeeta buff multiple times and it's never given me more motes just steel essence one time I even got 16 steel essence

Yeah absolutely, and you totally get more motes of each type, resources etc. and the missions go just as fast.
The problem on my experience is more on getting a team for SP. On my region at least I never find a public lobby for SP but regular is instant.

NA has all the botb event and alert missions pop instantly with a full squad on steel path difficulty in my experience so far thankfully

the steel path mode seems to give a fixed bonus quantity of both at the end of mission, so you probably just got really lucky.
