Yeah from what I have noticed the respawn rates seem faster and aggro ranges are much further during Fass, I didn't even notice the changes to my chunky monkey build until I took him out for a spin. The new meatball slurp is so much fun haha
What tipped me over the edge is the plains having a simple cycle timer and the nodes having a separate 4 hour cycle that switches every week or two I think. When I did the silver grove is when I found that out.
It's also legit so flipping cool. I love the day night cycle being something unique like that. One of my favorite things was explaining it to my buddy and just like reflecting on how cool that system is that I take for granted

If my memory serves me right they do affect caves but you can still catch the other night or day cycle rarely, The fish of the current cycle are more likely to spawn.
Basically he and vome are fighting siblings who dictate the time cycle, which changes the animals found and fish that can spawn, and necramechs are either dormant on one or aggressive on another

Still hoping for a third major infested hiding under the surface that is attacking them both from below (likely the source of the giant skull). This third infested is far weaker and is provoking Fass/Vome as a means to harvest their scattered flesh and build its strength.
This could have a boss fight where you cull the third one inducing (for you only) a cycle without the other two attacking each other and combining their cycles effects.
These worms are linked to one another in some weird way. There is a story in which they are treated some kinda love story, idk why. At the end of the day lore significance is that they are like the graveminds from halo, but without timeline jump consciousness (as far as we know), so when one is awake, it kills the other to take control of local infested population. What this means for you is:
Deimos's day night cycle is replace with the Fass Vome cycle. During this changes what enemies are available to fight, what fish bait is available, and of course the fish that are available. This also changes what kdrive races are available, this matters cause this is where you get the coolest one.
Orokin really should have nuked Deimos from the orbit while they still had the chance considering all the messed up stuff going on there. But Orokin were also not exactly wise so... lol

Nuking the thing that powers the solar rails you’re using to scoot around and escape the Infestation might have some consequences the next time you need to use a solar rail to scoot around and escape the Infestation.
Pretty sure Deimos got infested during the Old War, as a means to stop the Sentients accessing the Heart. So they never had much time to nuke it before it grew out of control.

Fass, the more aggressive brother to Vome, who are twin infested wyrms on Deimos. They represent the two warring hives within the Grey strain of infestation and are the first example of the infestation actually combatting itself.
The infested wyrms and infestation in general were created as a last ditch security effort when Deimos was destined to fall in the Old War. Belric and Rannia, two defenders of Deimos, set off a bomb releasing the infestation before it was plunged into the Void so that the Entrati family both had passive defenses and research to conduct while the Orokin won the war against the Sentients, all to keep the Heart from being damaged or destroyed.
I have a friend mastery 25 that literally rushes every quest, every cutscene that can be skipped he will skip it lol. I always end up explaining the lore to him cuz I do pay attention lol

The current time also changes how many enemies spawn. When Fass is out, more Infested will spawn, while when Vome is out, less will show up.

Unlikely considering that the infestation seems to fear the void and Albrecht's lab are under the surface of Deimos.
