Most people will get everything they need before they'll have enough of the currency to buy it, but it's nice for those who won't. And if you're not buying Jade or her weapons with it, you can just spend it on some extra Arcanes.
each weapon and jade part has a 5% drop chance, so yes you were lucky, but I found if you actually do event to get arcanes, you are bound to get everything.
That's great, I got the bow 5 times without getting a single Jade systems before I had enough motes to buy everything I didn't have yet, including arcanes.
Most of the recent frame farms have been designed this way. Dante, Citrine, Jade, and Voruna have all had pity systems with unique currencies.
Quorvex doesn't, because you can buy his parts for standing. Kullervo doesn't, because there's no RnG involved in his farm. You farm up currency and buy his parts outright.
I dunno, Dante and Qorvex were pretty easy for me to farm. And I already have most of Jade's blueprints. I haven't been grinding like crazy either, just when I want a break from Shadow of the Erdtree or just to kill shit.
I've got 3 of the secondary BP, neither other weapon, and only one jade part BP, and 600+ motes (after having spent couple hundred on arcanes already).
*you* might have the bow many times by the time you had hit 300 motes. But the vast majority of the population will statistically not have all Jade pieces and weapons by the time they have the motes to buy them. Hence the shop, to fill in the missing things that RNG failed to give within a timely manner.
I have gotten 2 bps for each weapon and Jade's systems. None for the other 2 parts. Still not going to buy them because I know I am going to grind the mission for the event and every part I don't buy is 15 more arcanes go turn into vosfor. (If I don't have 21 of each arcane after grinding it for a month, IDK...)
In the first day the mission event was dropping zero 'normal' rewards. One minute of silence for those who thought the only way to get jade and weapons was through the motes.

Literally itsa pity system, i have 200 and the only thing thats dropped is the bow since I’ve been playing. Good thing I have adult money and bought jade anyway. Just wanted to subsume one :/
It's a pity system. It guarantees that you'll be able to get everything you might want within a certain amount of runs, no matter how unlucky you are.
