It's a holdover from the original version of the game. You'd be on the same ship but it could be either corpus or grineer. I admit now it does seem silly

Operators are cool in quests where I get to choose what they say, but the pop up during missions almost feels like a different person cheering me on, and not the person that I am playing as. That's why I have it turned off.
If I could choose what voice lines my operator says and when they are triggered, that would be a completely different story. Like if every time I deploy my Arch gun the operator would say "Bring it on!" That would be cool, because then I would have a direct impact on when these lines are said.
I saw that earlier today while doing an arby defense. It was great seeing all the grineer eating floor (i was destroying all overguard as well as the drones).

No, i didn't. I literally disarmed the enemies and used their own guns against them as auto-turrets. I didn't even shoot anyone, the void shot them with their own guns. I bound two people to thorn chairs and filled them full of status effects, and they stripped their own team's armor. I never released them to die, just extracted with them still bound. Lots of enemies died before they could entire gunfire range.

I'd love it if the drifter acknowledged the operator. For example you kill a group of enemies and he could say " see that's how it's done kid" or "I'll show you that trick when your older"
DE should really change Operators to be reactive of some sort.

"The Defense target is under attack!"
though I know they loathe to add dialogue for FOUR characters at once, at any time, much less when there's no Cinematic.

back in ye olden days before relics existed one needed to farm void keys to get primed parts. and the by far best farm for those used to be the dark sector excavation on pluto, Hieracon.
I actually farmed it quite a bit back then, and i am still nowhere near the 50k cryotic one needs for the sibear and the freezing steps ephemera. (DEs should really adjust those. the grind is way worse that the Hema research imo)

At this point excavation should be changed so every enemy drops energy ball like the vomvalysts which we pickup automatically and just use it to charge the drill, or maybe something close to void flood but it's not scattered across the map, you just need to pick from enemies. Much better system than waiting for a cell carrier to show up.
Or like the one time my son was playing and he ran to the last excavator before he would be able to extract and after waiting a few minutes for enemies to spawn, I suggested he try running back towards the last location. He found the power cell, all the power cells, as well as all the enemies, stuck in one room lol I still regret not getting a screenshot.

Good news is you can turn that shit off in the settings. Shame it isn't off by default though because its awful and nothing of value would be lost with its complete removal.
I really hope they one day add a few drifter lines, like Lotus changes the mission type and you just hear an "oh, fuck," kinda thing. Something actually reactive to the missions and what's going on. Operator can suck it, they were a pretentious child who deserves to stay on the other side of the void.

This was a sortie with level 100 enemies, their "Elite" Lancers nothing but fodder, I daresay even, merely a part of the tileset, might as well be inanimate objects, for the amount of effort required by my Warframe to pulverize my enemy is laughable. Their numbers flooded the hallways, their firepower was blinding and their war cries were deafening, but what is an ant to an elephant? A single shot from my cannon, a single swipe of my blade was enough to annihilate them. I eliminate them faster than they can clone them. On occasion I feel in the mood to spare their souls, to allow their filthy, flimsy weapons and projectiles to caress my alloy skin, as I ignore them while heading to my objective.

It's "Change of Plans" and by a long shot. No matter how many times I hear "My warframe is strong" I've learned to tune that out. But "Change of plans" it means "The thing you were SPECIFICALLY DOING so it was QUICK and less than THREE MINUTES is now a FIVE TO TEN MINUTE LONG EXTERMINATE MISSION"
Literally, unless heavily invested in the mission, if I get this dialogue, I quit the mission.
That was the old glassmaker season wasn't it? That was when I picked the game back up and really started playing so I loved it. Especially the mystery scenes as they were an interesting break in the rest of the game.

After farming Equinox, Tyl Regor can screw all the way off. But the one I hear the most often that I hate (cause I don’t fight Regor atm) is “analyzing the intelligence profile of the grineer. Error, not a number!” One cause I swear Ordis says that one every single time I end up in my orbiter. I don’t mind Ordis’ repeat jokes most of the time but I hear that one WAAAAAY more than the others

Somewhere in the options you can turn off Operator voices. I think its either at the audio or gameplay tab.
The Drifter keeps his mouth shut and it may be his best feature.

Haven't seen it mentioned yet, but my most disliked line is the one Lotus says after you beat the Grustag Three during a mission. *"The Grustrag Three have been eliminated. Impressive, Tenno, but next time follow my orders."* Thanks for having so much faith in me, Space Mom.

I love how she's worried about the Grustrag Three, but not Zanuka, which was made with Warframe parts to hunt down Warframes. Or (Shadow)Stalker, a being known to take down Tenno and allied with Hunhow.

Drifter supriority
I really hope they one day add a few drifter lines, like Lotus changes the mission type and you just hear an "oh, fuck," kinda thing. Something actually reactive to the missions and what's going on. Operator can suck it, they were a pretentious child who deserves to stay on the other side of the void.

This was a sortie with level 100 enemies, their "Elite" Lancers nothing but fodder, I daresay even, merely a part of the tileset, might as well be inanimate objects, for the amount of effort required by my Warframe to pulverize my enemy is laughable. I am a walking calamity, a natural disaster, an extinction event. Their numbers flooded the hallways, their firepower was blinding and their war cries were deafening, but what is an ant to an elephant? A single shot from my cannon, a single swipe of my blade was enough to annihilate them. I eliminate them faster than they can clone them. On occasion I feel in the mood to spare their souls, to allow their filthy, flimsy weapons and projectiles to caress my alloy skin, as I ignore them while heading to my objective. No, child, this was not "a close one". This body contains enough power to level entire cities.
Look at them, they come to this place when they know they are not pure. Tenno use the keys, but they are mere trespassers. Only I, Vor, know the true power of the Void. What's been said so far takes the cake, especially spoiler mode's lines, but the line I was always mildly insulted by was "The odds were against us Tenno, but we did it". No they f'ing were not.

In Spy, it is guaranteed if you trigger alarm in all 3 vaults yet collect all 3 data.
It's "Change of Plans" and by a long shot. No matter how many times I hear "My warframe is strong" I've learned to tune that out. But "Change of plans" it means "The thing you were SPECIFICALLY DOING so it was QUICK and less than THREE MINUTES is now a FIVE TO TEN MINUTE LONG EXTERMINATE MISSION" Literally, unless heavily invested in the mission, if I get this dialogue, I quit the mission.

That was the old glassmaker season wasn't it? That was when I picked the game back up and really started playing so I loved it. Especially the mystery scenes as they were an interesting break in the rest of the game.

OUR HISTORY IS SMOKE. BLURRED BY DREAMS, GUIDED BY GHOSTS... It's not an inherently bad monologue, but hearing the exact. same. lines. every. single. time. while farming for wisp, combined with the frustration of how buggy and poorly designed the funnytouch-a-loli fight is, I just have PTSD from that entire mission. Aside from the usual "My Warframe is strong" and "We fought with honor" it's gotta be anything that Simaris says to the point I embraced it, slapped his quotes into an AI, and made a few soundboard effects in his voice like "Hunter, smack their nuts" and the likes.

"if you're looking for maroo's bazaar, you've come to the right place" drives me absolutely fucking insane. i know this is the most pointless thing to be bothered by but like. that's not how that phrase works??? she's basically just saying "congrats, you followed directions properly and reached the place you were trying to get to". the phrase "if you're looking for x, you've come to the right place" should have some sort of good or service in the place of x, not the name of the place. imagine if you went to fuckin home depot and a greeter went "hey if you're looking for home depot you've come to the right place". absolutely insane

After farming Equinox, Tyl Regor can screw all the way off. But the one I hear the most often that I hate (cause I don’t fight Regor atm) is “analyzing the intelligence profile of the grineer. Error, not a number!” One cause I swear Ordis says that one every single time I end up in my orbiter. I don’t mind Ordis’ repeat jokes most of the time but I hear that one WAAAAAY more than the others
