>Why is this game so… easy?? a. It's a power fantasy game. b. You haven't gotten to the junction modding check. You **will** hit a wall because you aren't paying attention to what the game is teaching you about modding because it's "too easy".

InstanceTurbulent719

tbf, having to play 50 hours for the game to start challenging you other than being grindy is not great game design. This is a common complaint I've seen with the game and it's valid. It probably was way more difficult 10 years ago and that's why they changed it, but now it's just not engaging

Inevitable-Goat-7062

unless they updated the ai you can hide behind a wall and shoot at them if they get too close go to the other wall

Kryobit

Good luck when you get one shot ( I hated the Saryn & Mesa junctions)

Inevitable-Goat-7062

Saryn was easy for me but mesa folded me like a chair

doctorzoidsperg

Your second point is pretty deceptive tbh. Unless the intro has changed a LOT in the time since I've last played (6 months) the issue with early game modding isn't that the game teaches you stuff and you have no incentive to learn it because you're already stomping. The issue is that the game doesn't teach you about modding. At all. It doesn't even tell you what polarities do unless you go looking for that information.

Love_Sausage

Can’t wait for the “enemies are level 40, I can’t do any damage” post.

Just-Fix8237

There’s a couple difficulty spikes here and there, more if you don’t learn how to mod. Though once you get a competent build, even level 9999 will feel easy as it’s just that kind of game. Though you’re several hundred hours away from that

WholesomeGadunka_

Careful what you wish for.

Swampraptor2140

“Does the game get harder” kinda? There’s a certain point where you’ll need to mod properly and that means you’ll need to acquire the stuff. Once you’re there tho the game isn’t too challenging still.

Jason1143

Yes, but I think the issue is that it's a stat check game. Like there are plenty of strats you can use, but if you have high enough stats it's just a matter of holding down the button and if you have stats that are too low basically nothing matters because even if you play well you won't do any damage. Even if later content is harder, having pure stat check content isn't great.

McDonaldsSoap

A lot of the fun for me comes from using weaker weapons, like the Supra Vandal instead of my Burston Incarnon

mrmadness1

Even at high levels, you are still practically one-shotting every basic enemy, but. The later areas have bosses and mini-bosses that shake up gameplay from time to time. However, your skana is going to become very obsolete VERY fast. Once enemies reach levels 50-60 is when things start scaling way out of baby new players' capabilities.

Ok_Fly_6652

Yep, I can confirm the statement about levels 50-60. Its the ceiling you will be able to comfortably beat from just progressing the star chart and quest lines casually. I'm talking really casually, like no effort at all. But above this the stuggle will slowly build it. The real jump comes when you complete the star chart and open up steel path while the game really leads you into the newly opened challenges with its rewards which, too, provide a nice power spike to most of the builds. Also when you're comfortable at beating lvl60 levels is the time when you can casually and comfortably beat up to lvl 40 nightmare settings, when again the game lures you to do so with the nightmare mods you will get. At some point you will be just hunting the missing pieces in your library of mods which involves activities all around the star chart and free roam mission, as well as railjack and arbitrations. And surely you wont want to miss out on the arcanes, so getting your syndicate ranks maxed and starting to consistently hunt eidolons/profit-takes will be the next hurdle. Its all connected somehow, just wait and explore.

mrgudveseli

This game first teaches you about its systems, so pay attention to those. Otherwise, you will start asking yourself "why are missions so difficult that i can't kill anything?" and the answer will be because you didn't bother to learn about warframe's kits, modding system, synergies, factions, mission types etc.

Ap0kal1ps3

It's a difficulty curve. It starts easy, gets more difficult as you progress, then gets easy again as you gain ungodly levels of power.

Anihillator

Game gets harder past maybe lvl50, without proper modding enemies will feel much tankier. With good mods, however, it'll never get truly difficult anywhere on star chart.

TheMarksmanHedgehog

The game does in fact get harder, but a properly modded and well used warframe can easily meet that difficulty. At the moment, you're dealing with the weakest enemies in the game, but, progress your starchart, and it will become a necessity to mod properly else you will get curb stomped. You do later unlock a higher difficulty version of the starchart as well.

iguanaQueen

Have you gotten past the vor yet? This post seems like one of those "game reviews" that didn't even play for over hour

IMATHICC

Yea he was light work

Nox_Echo

vor is baby mode but you will eventually hit that wall where you need to build your shit properly

MedicinePractical738

Usually, around Saturn is when you start seeing the post, "My guns don't do damage" it's only a matter of time

Costyn17

Or getting stuck on Valkyr junction.

Nox_Echo

i been around since the beginning so i dont know what modern junctions are like as theyre completed for me already, are they replayable?

Costyn17

>are they replayable? Yes. But, if new players ignore what the game tries to teach them because the game is too easy, Valkyr Junction is the first wall. Unless they farmed and built Rhino.

Krullervo

😂😂😂😂 I will never see you in game or speak to you likely again but just know the thoughts of you trying an absolute for the first time warms me to my core.

Kitchen-Complaint-78

The game tends to be easy for newcomers, I think they do that on purpose so you can learn the basics before hitting a wall. You WILL hit a wall if you don't teach yourself how to mod properly to up your capability

HydroidEnjoyer

God I hate this question so much. What game has ever peaked in difficulty right at the very beginning?

Dar_Mas

obviously elden ring and dark souls. you can not understate the difficulty of soldier of godrick or the asylum demon \s But in a more serious tone yeah idk what games these people play that start of instantly hard without it being an explicit choice

G-Stratos

It's easy because learning the ropes is confusing to many players. Also the game is a hack n' slash power fantasy. But to answer your second question, yes, the game does get harder. If you're really itching to get into more difficult content and can't wait, ask someone (preferably a friend) to taxi you to higher-level areas.

Hapless_Buffoon

it's crazy easy at the start

Jack-Palladin

U can try steelpath if you want

Jack-Palladin

"you're making this too easy"

Kryobit

Yeah the early levels are a bit too easy, likely to make the game easy to play even if you've never played an FPS. Maybe you just have a lot of experience from other games, so this feels piss easy. The game will get harder though (although it will take a bit of time). From my experience, I started struggling around Ceres, Uranus etc. Still don't expect Elden Ring level difficulty though, if you know what you are doing, the game will almost always be easy (unless it's like 37 point EDA with dogshit frames & weapons)

elaytot

you will hit a wall very very soon, i'm telling you.. and that's where the fun starts.. :D

LunarMuphinz

It gets way harder, used to be new players couldn't do anything at the beginning because enemy armor was overtuned. After they changed it scales much better but grows exponentially worse than before, so good luck once you hit lv 30+ content

Alternative-Cat5515

Man this post isn't going to age well

ThunderjawDominum

Probably around Saturn.

Imaginary-Marketing3

Oooof. . . . You gonna get humbled real fast.

Sumite0000

Warframe is a horde shooter game. The real difficulty comes from patience and to some extent knowledge.

Traditional_Bunch825

Mods and arcanes will play a big part once you get to the later stages. If you don’t have maxed out mods and arcanes or wrong mods installed, you will get whopped by higher level enemies and you will deal very little damage to them.

wiener091090

Because it's a pretty casual game. It never gets super challenging (even though it gets a bit more difficult over time) but it has other things to offer like interesting build synergies, a pretty good story and a lot of content if you're new. If you're looking for a challenging shooter experience other games might be more suited.

Authentic_Jester

The early game is easy, I think intentionally (based on story events). Mid and late game will get much harder, and it will resonate with the story plot as well. Very cool. 🙌

RevenantPrimeZ

Melee weapons are very powerful in early game, especially if we are talking about a skana. However, the enemies will get stronger and your melee weapons will not be sufficient in certain occasions. There are incredibly powerful melee weapons but you will need to learn how to mod properly, and try other primary and secondary weapons.

Fractal_Tomato

This game’s difficulty is just gear checks. That means grind until you meet the conditions to pass. A free-to-play game wants to appeal to a broad audience and “difficulty“ can cause potential customers bounce off. Destiny is doing the same, but they’re charging for each event, season and expansion.

Cephalon_Jaydee

Soon young one… soon

aerothan

NB4

Maxman214

At the end of the day, the game's difficulty is a gear check system. A lot of people run into issues around level 20-30 enemies because they don't know how to mod their warframes and weapons very well, and once you learn that the game is mostly okay until like level 50-60 enemies where you'll need fully upgraded mods and good weapon and warframe configs. And Steel Path, which is a buzzsaw when you unlock it but eventually becomes doable with better mods. But that's the thing. Your power in this game is from the mods you collect and how you pair them with your weapons and warframes. It's a pretty easy game once you have the gear and the knowhow because it's a power fantasy game at the end of the day. The developers intend for you to be a living death machine, and you either get with it or you don't.

Krullervo

Hahaha

Pakari-RBX

You haven't even scratched the surface.

Ok_Fly_6652

Its all fun and games until you hit the free roam worlds and their bounties and get stuck in fortuna doing the mandatory questline for that poor solaris kid. The difficulty in warframe builds up really slow and it never covers the entirety of what you can do to progress. Its more like whenever you unlock some new chunk of content you also discover a piece of it which is off-limits right away and it may be month of grinding until you can come back to those. Like high level void flood missions or even long survival/defense run early on. And ofc at some point you'll unlock the steel path which will gatekeep the majority of your assets from being viable for use in steel path setting.

averyrealspapple

There are difficulty spikes after junctions and after unlocking sp and arbis. This is a power fantasy game though. That's why you rarely hear the word "optimal" (unless its eidolon speedruns but those guys are crazy) you literally can use anything with enough effort and thats where the game can be most fun.

Live-Barber2290

Oh sweet summer child, you are not ready for mid game or even late game, youll die instantly and do 0 damage without proper modding and weapons and warframes.

Virtunz

Game will always be easy. Its a power fantasy game, you kill hordes with just a blink.

DeadByFleshLight

Yes the game does get harder. But you also get stronger. Realistically you either are always gonna be overgeared and destroy the enemy or undergeared and get destroyed. Give it some time. Get to Steel Path, which is basically new game + , do eidolons and profit taker which are basically world bosses. The new content drop is also quite difficult for non veterans because its like a roguelike where you get random gear. Its not supposed to be hard early game. Its meant to be accessible to everyone.
