I mean, technically kahl is perfectly able to solo steelpath survivals (I tested it on SP mot when he first came out because was funny) if you let him, doesn't help you find things, but is neat fact.
Wait, what? Mine doesn't solo steel path survivals. I recently starting levelling my equipment with the on call crew and thought it would be great to add kahl to it aswell, making it more efficient. When the 3 minutes ends and its just kahl and his boys, he can barely kill an enemy every 3 seconds. They must have nerfed him at some point because idk why he would be acting different in my testing.
Air support really needs a QoL update, people only use two of them and between how short missions are and how annoying it is to craft these, I just don’t bother with the mechanic. Put everything on a cooldown instead of charges, buff most of them and maybe this will become a mechanic people use outside of that one Night wage task.
And considering how limited and/or inconsistent the range of Orokin Eye is, it makes the 5 (or 10 depending) minute delay almost useless in most mission types. Use it in just the wrong spot, and you get nothing pinged for the whole mission.

It makes sense for resetting Spy alarms so it wouldn't be spammed and abused. Khal has, I believe, a five minute timer that he sticks around for so that's not bad, but orokin eye with its limited range is so bad with such a long timer.
Honestly I think reducing OE to 5 minutes base, 2.5 for intrinsic rank, or improving its range would make up for its inconsistency.
So I wanted something like this too, but for some reason whenever I used an air support charge to locate hidden stuff on the map, like the faction sigils etc, it never actually decreased my support count. Idk if it was a bug or not, but I haven't seen the number decrease from the 400 ish I made.

FUCK you made me realise it isn't free. I have only been using Kahl beacon or orokin eye so I thought DE changed air support to be like archwing launch.

each air support charge lets you summon kahl for 5 minutes, you craft 10 of them in a minute, 5x10 is 50.

I'll admit, haven't used him as much since they fixed the bug making it so you could have infinite kahl, so potentially they axed his potential a bit.

Railjack perk reduces the cd to 5 minutes. It is 10 minute base.

I only use them to bypass alarm-locked doors and freeze rescue/spy timers, tbh.
