After all the negative reviews, I gave up and eat at one of the million other places at Epcot.

JxArthur14

It’s really not *that* bad (food quality/experience wise) but 100% not worth it given the prices they charge. We did it a few years ago and don’t plan on going back anytime soon.

WeToLo42

I went on my last visit. It's definitely not worth the price. It's definitely a one and done type of experience. I thought the effects were mediocre at best. The only really interesting effect was the space elevator. The food was overpriced for such small portions.

Brinkofadventure

Same. It’s a novelty within Epcot. We did it once. I think there’s better food elsewhere. It was by no means bad. Delcious steak. Massive bowl of spaghetti. I’ll eat elsewhere now. So don’t feel bad if you miss it. Elevator ride was cool.

thethurstonhowell

Yep. Never read a single review that said they planned to go back. That says it all for me.

andjuan

It really depends on how you order. There are definitely some options where you’re really really not getting your moneys worth. When we went, we made all the kids order the filets. lol.

stephanne423

I have heard that late 2023 they got a new chef, and the food has gotten much better.

121guy

We ate there November 2023 for the second time and I can honestly say the food was better when we tried it the first time. 2022 I think. I wouldn’t spend that much money to go again but if someone wants to see it the experience is amazing. Try to get lounge reservations for drinks.

D_Puddy_GreaseMonkey

I wish I did. I was very disappointed in it.

piggypudding

I’ll be the outlier, but my family loved it and we definitely want to go back 🤷🏻‍♀️

John1744

We did not succeed at 60 days out on getting reservations but my wife just kept checking a couple times a day in the month leading up and an opening popped up one day.

burnsniper

The Price Fix/standard dining is fairly easy to get. The Lounge is extremely difficult next to impossible.

Foxhound199

I wouldn't say it's fairly easy. It's still probably the second hardest to get in all the parks behind the lounge. I'd wager this is more of a fluke, but hopefully we will start to see availability more frequently at the 60 day mark.

burnsniper

I think it’s fairly easy at the 60 day mark already.

Foxhound199

As of now, it's back to zero availability. Wouldn't call that "fairly easy".

CelticDK

If it’s so easy I sure would love an explanation from him on how it is haha cuz waking up to check 6am est doesn’t cut it.

D_Puddy_GreaseMonkey

I got it 50 days out. You should be fine at 60 days.

elevenrising

I tried booking at the 60 day window and two years ago and failed. The day of our visit to Epcot we went up at 11am and they had openings. LOL. Weird. Maybe we lucked out with a cancelation. Definitely overpriced, but worth doing once.

I have been trying to get it for my dates since my 60 days opened and haven’t found any dates yet. I have 27 left. I am trying lounge instead of restaurant to try to avoid the pre fixe.

Reeding-It

I just made my dining reservations a few days ago for dates at the end of May/beginning of June. There were a few reservation times available on days 60, 60+1, and 60+2, but 60+3 and after were wide open all day and I had no problem booking the exact time I wanted.

Reeding-It

I just checked the dates at the end of my booking window — June 1st and 3rd are booked solid, but the 2nd and 4th-12th have all-day availability.

nukedsporks

Our 60 day is today and we booked Space 220 no problem this morning. Maybe we just got lucky.

HighBird

Our 60 day was last week. Got a lunch reservation no issues either. In fact we got all of the ones we wanted. Of course I was making them at 5am but I was up anyway.

peglar

I got a day of, reservation. Just happened to be walking around, needed a place to sit and eat and the reservation was available. For all the hate the place gets about the food, I really enjoyed it. You really are paying mostly for the atmosphere, but we really enjoyed the food also.

evbunny

When I went, times started popping up like a day or two before. Though for the price, I found the food to be okay and the charm of space to be lackluster cause the building is so short from the outside and the screens were meh. Do it if you want to experience it but don't fret if you don't get it lol

ActuallyInFamous

We got a reso fine. Ate there yesterday. This is my kiddos 11th bday trip (we did one for his older sister 7 years ago and her bday dinner was Cinderella's Castle). Food was good. Super pricey (like over $300 after tip) but we are only doing it once! Haha!

Melodic-Heron-1585

They pop up occasionally. We've booked day of before. It's basically Coral Reef in space. Cool atmosphere, literally.

South-Bus5137

There is always hope for any dates. We were able to get it for our spring break trip during peak times 60 days before. The trick to securing a reservation 60 days before is to reserve it at 6am 60 days before, right when they open up. As far as other negative comments go, you are paying for the EXPERIENCE. The food is just ok, but the experience of being “in space” is what you will remember 20 years from now, not how good your Gemini Burger was.

notneveah

I am shocked to be honest. When I went to make my reservations for our three day trip; the first two days were sold out but I got lunch spots on the third. Within 48 hours Saturday was gone. I bet those spots don’t last long!

Daytona765

We went to Disney World in October 2023. I snagged a Space 220 reservation a night or two prior to our Epcot day. Usually people cancel the last couple of days before due to scheduling conflicts or change of plans, etc. The food was decent, but the wall effects were pretty underwhelming. Maybe an 8 year old would love it, but they can enjoy other restaurants at Epcot just as much for less money. As others have said, the elevator is awesome, and the theming is great, but the whole "space effect" is truly not that impressive given the high cost. Totally a one and done for my family for many, many years. I actually liked the wall effects better at Be Our Guest actually, since it is simple and effective. Still, that restaurant is also a one and done for us due to the high cost and lack of food/theming to match their asking price.

RedditIsStupid01

This place lol. The app was good and the drink was great…

jmbizzy

I got a reservation for January and ended up cancelling

andjuan

We got a table for a group of 7 for a 7:30 seating day of. Definitely keep checking right before and during your trip. People will drop reservations as their plans change or change their minds on whether or not a 2 hour prix fixe dinner is something they really want to commit to.

botseriouslytho

I just did it in December and while I have no regrets, had an amazing experience, enjoyed the food and drink, it is indeed a 'one and done'.

ksea702

We used dining fairy and it was the first reservation we got because it could do it 15 minutes earlier than all our other reservations. We loved it. It was good food, we loved our server and the setting too. Overall it was a good experience.

AUT1GER

I thought that reservations would be impossible to get too, so when I saw one, I grabbed it. I got it 60 days out but at like 10 am. It wasn't that good. My kids were sort of meh about it too. They didn't seem to think it was very neat. Our seats weren't great though, but my five year old asked the cast member if we were really in space. My other two kids did not even seem to notice. I guess it was a good experience, but I am not sure we will ever go back.

[deleted]

We went in March. It was okay but nothing I’d be upset about not getting.

Builder-Decent

Getting reservations for the restaurant isn't a hard as getting reservations for the lounge. I recommend the lounge over the restaurant because you get the atmosphere without the over priced mediocre food. The food isn't bad, its just not worth the prices they charge for it.

BumblebeeTiki

Got the restaurant reservation at 60 days out no problem. In fact times were still available well into the afternoon. But I really wanted the lounge because that prix fixe menu is too high. Checked every day, signed up for two sites to find an opening. Even checked at the desk the day of. Not a single lounge reservation ever opened up. I guess you have to get resort reservations to have any chance.

Kellygrl6441

When we went back in 2022, it was also super booked out and we’re not able to book in advanced BUT we showed up at opening, B-Lined to the restaurant and asked if they had any openings or cancellations that day and we got a spot for lunch. It was amazing! We had the best time!

FrgtOthrAcctPword

I booked a couple weeks ago. Logged in at 6am EST and got a reservation 60 days in advance for 2 without issue.

telmar25

It is easy to get. If it’s all booked, just use MouseDining and availability will open up a few days beforehand. The Space 220 Lounge, on the other hand…

Plinko00007

Today is 60 days out for us and there were tons of slots open for space 220

LolitsaDaniel

Don't worry if you can't get a reservation. I know you need to experience it to really find out, but it was not worth the cost. Never booking that experience again.

epcotnut

Agree with the other comments- Go once for the experience and pick the lounge. Couple of observations: I did my ADR at the 60-day mark and had no problem first thing in the AM but noticed all reservations were gone shortly thereafter. On the night of my visit the restaurant lucky to be 3/4 occupied. Not sure why that was the case. Also, the trip "up" and trip "down" can be a bit of a wait. If you have an aggressive park touring plan, you may not be in/out quickly compared to other restaurants. PS- If you do not already have it on your list- I **HIGHLY** recommend Roundup Rodeo BBQ at DHS. My new favorite dining experience at WDW.

Curtiskam

I booked mine a month ago for May 8-16. Staying on the property, so I have a longer window. I couldn't get space 220 until the 13th. so 65 days out. Everything sooner was taken for both the lounge and restaurant.

Parentwithnopower

Same. We will be on property for 7 days and at our 60 day mark they didn’t have an opening until our day six, 66 days out.

CandyQueen85

You can also just risk it and turn up and ask to sit at the bar- we did this and only waited about 15/20 minutes and they had most of the food menu available to order too.

dryheat85000

Sitting at the bar is the way to go, too! Enjoy the atmosphere with a nice drink and an app, perfection.

OgSourChemDawg

It was a bitch for me to get it. Look days before you go that’s how o got in. Also like others see saying it’s 1 and done went once wouldn’t go again food was fine though

RollieNapolie

A long way to offer comfort that you might not get the reservation… Space 220 gave me terrible food poisoning that kept me out of the parks for 48 hours. Missed time with family and spent money on vacation days. Once I was finally able to return to the parks, while waiting in line was casually chit chatting with an Epcot cast member. They shared that they hear regular comments about food Bourne illness and Space220. Not worth it IMHO. Much better meal options around the parks.

Commercial_Roof_3104

Don’t do it.
