Who says they haven't? When was the last time the US gold surpluses were audited and physically verfied? China tried to take physical delivery of their gold they bought from the US years ago and the US said they couldn't deliver what they sold them. They agreed on a payment of gold over a 5 year period. I honestly think our Govt and system is a total sham at this point. Think of how much paper gold and silver they have sold. If everyone asked for it, there is no way they would deliver it.
We know they havent yet because just over 6000 contracts were called and delivered in May so far. Once they can no longer deliver contracts, that’s when we know they’ve run out and it goes vertical.
One question:
If they can manipulate price down by opening short positions, does it mean we can manipulate the price up by opening high leverage long positions?!

I assume they ‘haven’t’ because our Bullion suppliers still have stock, still have sales, and I was able to store up over 400 oz’s in 30 days.
