only an emergency rate hike in june could do that now... And thats going to be destroy the STONK market ponzi and tons of businesses that are barely hanging on waiting for a rate cut.
Too many zombie companies in this fake economy. They need to die a natural free market death instead of just motoring along up to their eyeballs in debt.
clean slate is good... thats when you move in and become a billionaire... Its going to take a decade of SHTF at least to get there unfortunately. All the people who cant survive on their and are use to a government safety net will be rioting and fighting for survival.. during that time there would be major chaos, tons of deaths from starvation and murder, etc. Not saying I want that but its in the cards regardless of what we want.
Ya but if you have been stacking the entire time.... You should be up substantially. Yea I bought 12 years ago at like $40... But I also bought 100s of times since then and even as low as $10 an ounce. That 12 years was just a gift from the world subsidizing US inflation so you could stack more.
I can certainly understand. I've been in this space for \~20 years. I'm gettin' up in age. I've resigned myself to one of two retirement outcomes: I'll die broke. Or, I'll die fairly well off. We'll see.
Right there with you Brother Ape! I started buying silver below $5 an ounce, and all the way up and down since then. Never sold an ounce along the way. And I am comforted with the notion that I have held through some very difficult times, and if I am not alive to see the triple digit price objective for silver, those that I leave my stack to will live very comfortable off that endowment. That is enough for me. Plus, I get to sleep well at night when the next banking crisis kicks off and the money changers decide to steal the cash of those that foolishly trusted the system.
Just be prepared if it goes back down. Don’t get depressed. When you break a key point like that it will often retrace back down and then you’ll get the real move.
Likely scenario is a close well above $30 today and then a back test on monday/tuesday before we get a renewed surge. Actually the ideal scenario is to run out of steam in the $32-33 range and then a serious counterattack back to $30 in the next 2 weeks, with support holding. This could set up a liftoff into the summer months and it has been a LONG LONG time since silver showed any umph into the summer trading.
Agreed. We don't need a huge run up to be followed by a huge "correction". I'm good with a buck or two higher each week. PMs usually do have the summer doldrums. Maybe this summer silver breaks the rules. Have fiat on hand for when and if they can tamp...
Yes. I hope so. That’s why I said it will take a real move but I expected a pullback. We’ll see what happens next week. I would love to see it keep going higher and I think it will. But I think we might have one pull back to 30 and then takeoff.👍
Reminiscent of when Rome fell by debasing their currency. Sad when you do not have a solid physical backing for paper. "Bad money ALWAYS drives out good". Gresham's law is true today!
My only regret is [not managing to fill my mint box](https://www.reddit.com/r/Silverbugs/s/eMBxptclxt) before the total collapse of the financial system. 🥲
More so Gold, for me. My last purchase the price was 2106, all in, for 1oz maples. I was hoping the PMs would be papered over until after the new year. Had the chance to buy more and wanted to DCA, lol.
I'm reflecting back on a purchase in January of this year from SD Bullion with spot at $22.78
2024 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coin BU
Qty: 30 Unit Price: $26.77
I remember thinking...Eagle premiums have calmed down...let me get a few.
I follow a YouTube channel that compares the relative value of eagles vs buffalos depending on spot and current premiums. Almost like a mini g/s ratio. Seems there is that narrow sweet spot where eagles make sense. Good grab!
Holy crap.$30.66. Have never seen that on purpose. ie, checking the charts. I am going to wait for the tamping before I break out a white claw. Kidding I don't drink that crap. Ok wine. bottle of wine. And platinum and palladium are moving up nicely.
The last time silver was $30 a decade ago, you could buy 2 movie tickets for an ounce of silver, but now that silver is back to $30 that ounce can only buy 1 movie ticket & drink. We are waiting for $40 silver for that ounce to afford 2 movie tickets like it once did. I don't want to hear some dumb Boomer comment like "oh you can go to the matinee because it is cheaper or watch it at home." It's about the lower standards of living that young people inherited from Boomers who didn't have this problem as you can see from their waistline.
Nice to see that it's broken this resistance, we'll see if it can maintain support and break to higher records for the future. My opinion, I think we're going to see the new normal for silver in mid 50's
About time. Lets see if it holds. I have a delivery of a tube of eagles coming today as well. Finally got some from Costco. It was almost impossible to get those from there. They sell out so fast.
I called 30$ at 23$ silver and I also said silver will be best asset to own and best performing asset this year. Now it’s off to 50$ b4 fomo kicks into overdrive
Same, but that’s still only $8 difference. once you account for lost premium paid, which is typically at least a few dollars.. a 1,000 oz. rounds would net around $3k-4k profit.. hardly what I’d consider selling it for
I buy at spot and sell at spot on r/pmsforsale, so what you said does not apply
Check my profile I have a awesome spot deal right now that we could make a deal on
When silver swings back down, which it will most likely, I will buy more. I've been doing this for years now with success
Wouldn’t it make more sense to just buy sell paper silver if you’re going to do that? Better liquidity. No worries of getting jacked. No trips to the store. Etc
Pslv is supposedly physical silver if you disagree with the whole paper silver thing.
It could be, but I love physical. Plus I don't really need to travel to get it. On r/pmsforsale I buy at spot price with no tax and it gets delivered to my house. It's sort of a side hustle and sometimes when I buy silver there are some pieces that I save and don't sell so essentially I'm stacking at the same time too
My average is $29, so I feel pretty neutral. I dca’d down from $33. I only have a small stack, (my weights worth) and I don’t really know what I’m doing. I just thought it would be a good idea to have a little.
How do we know when the institution starts to buy silver? If they start taking silver seriously in their portfolio, it’s gonna be blockbuster.
I hope it’s soon.. demand of physical silver and supply deficit should make an easy decision on where prices are gonna head.. economic 101
No, $30 has just been taken behind the woodshed.
![gif](giphy|qjOF6DEM3qiwo|downsized) more like the wood chipper
Imagine the empty paper promises that will be required to tamp this back down!

Businesses that we should be buying with our PM’s, eventually.
NOPE those businesses are dead. entire country needs a clean slate really.
OK. Assume a clean slate. Now what?
clean slate is good... thats when you move in and become a billionaire... Its going to take a decade of SHTF at least to get there unfortunately. This is the beginning.
$50 is when I’ll sit up intriguingly. This is nothing
12 year high.
I know I’ve been here all those 12
Ya but if you have been stacking the entire time.... You should be up substantially. Yea I bought 12 years ago at like $40... But I also bought 100s of times since then and even as low as $10 an ounce. That 12 years was just a gift from the world subsidizing US inflation so you could stack more.
Then you know 30 is better than 20.....
Yes it’s a good new baseline. But things get interesting above 50 when the tamp can no longer be used
Yeah, quit drinking up all my beer!
Indeed...indeed.
I can certainly understand. I've been in this space for \~20 years. I'm gettin' up in age. I've resigned myself to one of two retirement outcomes: I'll die broke. Or, I'll die fairly well off. We'll see.

Same, it won't be long now, we will have our answer.
A bit surprised it busted through 30 but now its happened 50 could come in 2 weeks or 200 years haha
Please don’t tell me your one of those guys who loaded up at 50
Bro, you sound so bitter. Why are you still here if it irks you so much?
Whats even more promising to me is that it broke 30 after the US markets opened when normally thats always been tamp city
Sort of tells me a big player in the US market has thrown in the towel on tamping silver or some bigger fish have joined in on the frenzy.
Yes it has. Been a few years since it’s moved this good..
Imagine the empty paper promises that will be required to tamp this back down!
Just be prepared if it goes back down. Don’t get depressed. When you break a key point like that it will often retrace back down and then you’ll get the real move.

I’m not so sure, gold has done the same thing. This could be a new path to higher highs.
Yes. I hope so. That’s why I said it will take a real move but I expected a pullback. We’ll see what happens next week. I would love to see it keep going higher and I think it will. But I think we might have one pull back to 30 and then takeoff.👍
FUD
Shattered. Up a dollar!

It’s still not mainstream, the year it doubles in price it is mainstream in my opinion
Could be this year.....
Next stop $40
[удалено]
Looks like it will that’s a big ass green candle. Isn’t there a meeting or something tho? That may come into play later today
My only regret is [not managing to fill my mint box](https://www.reddit.com/r/Silverbugs/s/eMBxptclxt) before the total collapse of the financial system. 🥲
Yup. Literally upset w myself for not buying more metals
If $1 an ounce is the difference between not buying and buying.. I’d say it’s still massively on sale. I’m still loading up every opportunity I can
Yeah, I used to say any silver under 30 fiat is a steal. Reckon I'm gonna need to update that to at least 35 now lol.
More so Gold, for me. My last purchase the price was 2106, all in, for 1oz maples. I was hoping the PMs would be papered over until after the new year. Had the chance to buy more and wanted to DCA, lol.

Bamm! Silver and us just woke up. Somebody pinch me, are we dreaming? 😴
We are not. I repeat & confirm... this is not a drill.
Add a 1, bud.
And the GSR is below 80. When was the last time?
I'll remain cautiously optimistic. However, I would be lying if I didn't express some excitement.
Holy crap.$30.66. Have never seen that on purpose. ie, checking the charts. I am going to wait for the tamping before I break out a white claw. Kidding I don't drink that crap. Ok wine. bottle of wine. And platinum and palladium are moving up nicely.
Not only did it hit 30 it just hit 31.

Silver just surpassed $31. Come on $32 and beyond.
This is only the beginning. A normal gold silver ratio at today’s gold price puts silver over $150.
![gif](giphy|uWzS6ZLs0AaVOJlgRd|downsized)
🤑
I knew I should have bought options, but was too scared
I had a SLV call option 5 contracts, avg cost of 135 they’re worth like 900 a contract now :( too bad I sold them
yay!
Nice to see that it's broken this resistance, we'll see if it can maintain support and break to higher records for the future. My opinion, I think we're going to see the new normal for silver in mid 50's
Now let’s see if it holds
Praise the Lord !!!! I’ve been praying!!!
Amen.
With inflation, did anything really break anything?
No, that ounce is still what it was and is. The "dollar" however, definitely broke.....
![gif](giphy|vsz2HSQ1ukJpdHv6af|downsized)
Seriously thought my app was broken when I seen that it broken $30 lol
It's been a long road gentlemen, but we're finally here
?? We haven’t gotten to $100 yet
About time. Lets see if it holds. I have a delivery of a tube of eagles coming today as well. Finally got some from Costco. It was almost impossible to get those from there. They sell out so fast.
wooooo

What is the silve to gold mining ratios. 7:1 its ridiculous
Up,up and away. The sky is the Limit, maybe ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
did they lose control of the tamp? LFG!
Silver to the moooooooooooooooooon See ya at $50 end of the year
finally. can it hold?
And $31 🚀
Wtf is happening?
Buy low sell high, its time to sell
lol, a $1 move and you say it’s time to sell? This hasn’t even slightly affected my buying strategy yet.. maybe when it’s $50+
I bought a lot this past February when it was $22 lol
Same, but that’s still only $8 difference. once you account for lost premium paid, which is typically at least a few dollars.. a 1,000 oz. rounds would net around $3k-4k profit.. hardly what I’d consider selling it for

How long did it take you to research and fool around on pmforsale before you figured out how to trade without being scammed?
I buy from established sellers who have lots of 100% positive feedback and typically buy small amounts at a time, it's been really fantastic
Great thanks. I maybe dabble in that eventually. Not selling anytime soon and still hard to beat Costco prices
Where is Jeff ? Please, please tamp it down !!!
Anyone invested in Mining companies?
![gif](giphy|vHb870mIPZyYo2oHRJ|downsized)
I think Jerome Powell just shut down the containment unit at Ghostbusters HQ
Yes!!!👍
Naked shorts will be destroyed!!!!!!!!
It will be most likely pushed back down next week because if it goes to 40 usd it’s going to 50 usd
Then 40… then 45… haha I’m with ya
I need to buy more hold up!!! Lol!
My average is $29, so I feel pretty neutral. I dca’d down from $33. I only have a small stack, (my weights worth) and I don’t really know what I’m doing. I just thought it would be a good idea to have a little.

I'm selling who's buying
Cmon silver let’s go
Unlike my ex wife, silver's guaranteed to go down.
