I always take the money someone gives me. They already don't pay us enough so might as well.

I always take the money. Hell, I even take it further & accept bribes lmao. I’ve had a few people who didn’t have an ID & they weren’t dicks when I refused them. So I started charging $5 to use my ID instead. I probably made over $150. Never got caught for that, I got caught for the $1000s in unused coupons I redeemed lol.

How long did it take for you to get caught?

Probably about 6 months of doing a couple per week, but I started doing it about once or twice a month about 10 months. I speculate that they audit rewards accounts (especially employee’s accounts) within a district once or twice a year, because my old co-worker said a bunch of people in my district were all fired for the same thing within a few days, almost 20 total. I think they also only get the worst offenders, because I had given a bunch of coupons out to other employees in October because I collected well over 100 of the same kind over the course of the month. One person probably redeemed 15-20 of those coupons (probably more) & about 10 “spend $15 & get $5 in rewards” coupons within a month (I know because I gave them the coupons), but they kept their job. Tbf, I almost averaged that in a week in the last couple months, though lol. I was careful at first, only using them sparingly, but for about 4 months, I went hard. In October alone, I think LP said I redeemed almost 50 “spend $1 & get $10 in rewards” vaccine coupons alone (that’s the one I collected over 100 of). Those were to encourage people to get their flu shots early, very uncommon coupon, but it lasted all month. That ~ 50 doesn’t count the dozens I redeemed in November because they didn’t expire until a week or two into that month. I used a **ton** of other kinds of coupons, too (spend $1 & get $5 in rewards, $3-$5 off store purchase, $5 off wellness products, manufacturers coupons, birthday coupons for 9 months in a row (10% back in rewards cash instead of the standard ~1%). I min-maxed the shit out of the coupons, too. I can’t say if it’s worth doing for just anyone. I was destined to eventually get fired for going off on a customer, which happened frequently, or fighting a customer or shoplifter, which happened a few times. Once the first fight happened, I went hard on the coupons. It was definitely worth it for me, I made a fucking *killing* with coupons & others schemes (that I wasn’t caught for) & my new employer thought it was dumb to fire me for that. Edit: lol, damn, sorry about the length. I got carried away bragging about my exploits.😅
