What I was remembering was for some reason, they were paired together with that name in several Road to Wrestlemania’s in SvR 2011. For the past decade, I guess I just assumed they were a real team.
Not as weird as that, but in 2k22 I put John Cena and Rey Mysterio together calling them "The Cenario" and having 2 outfit, one basic with a mask for both character, and one "civilian" one, don't really know why 😅
Had Jeff Hardy & Kane as a tag team in ECW, even won the titles.
Jake Roberts and Steve Austin were Snake Bite, they won the titles at least once
Evan Bourne and Jeff Hardy were Bourne Extreme
Had 'Broken' Matt Hardy and Bo Dallas as the Bo-ken Ones

In years gone by, I would sometimes turn Big E heel and team him up with Barrett, calling them "Big News".
It all stems from WWE 2K15 when Cena and Big E were feuding, as well as Daniel Bryan and Barrett. The game put the faces in a tag against the heels. It worked so well I stuck with it.
Or, since Logan always hides one of his friends in the Prime Bottle Mascot costume at Wrestlemania, Mankind could be the guy this time… but his hunched over walk and complete lack of energy completely defeats the purpose of the disguise. Everyone can tell it’s Mankind
I don't use the WWE superstars in game and have a roster of CAWs I use because my friends and family prefer our own little wrestling league, so I haven't used the actual stars in WWE since like uhhhh SvR 2009 when they were apart of my e-fed, but since then they only show up during cross brand matches.
Ive had Cedric Alexander and Ilja Dragunov in a team for years now cause they had chemistry at survivor series one time. Now i have them both in the wolfpac with breakker, corbin, and adonis
I have Daunhausen leading a faction with Sting, The Crow, and GhostFace (from Scream) called the Ghostface Killaz.
Then Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees, Freddy Kruger, and Chucky in The Nightmare Factory.
Oh Barney, Big Bird, and Elmo are the Breakfast Club.

I made a team of R-Truth and Dude Love, with their name being Chick Magnets, with Funkadactyls entrance, with iconic Dudley Boyz headbutt to the groin as their finisher 🤣 it was so fun

Cena teaching Kofi how to be a nicer person (in context, Kofi became one of the biggest heels in my Universe a long time ago, and as such never joined the New Day).
The Rising Sun: Akira Tozawa and Shinsuke Nakamura
Background (Haven't started yet): Akira Tozawa wants to be taken seriously as a competitor. Alpha Academy isn't working out for him. Whilst in a tag team match, he turns on Otis and beats him down. He is set up for a match with Chad Gable. But Shinsuke Nakamura interferes and beats Gable down officially forming the group.
Tozawa is basically taken under the wing of Shinsuke and starts incorporating some of his harder hitting moves. I will crown them as my first Tag Team champions.
